Woodsman's Northern Light #5 Grow

Hey they are your little girls, shape them the way you desire, setting them free should start vertical growth, you can always strap it down later I guess if you think they need it.

:peace: brother.

Like to release them to give them air and room to breath. They have developed a very thick and flat canopy. But very tight quarters. The fan leaves are shading too much.

I'll try it for that reason and my own curiosity:smokin:.

A very old friend from the San Diego area, sent me a gift. Says 'Snow Cap' on the baggy? Even though it has seeds, it is terrific. First thing I did 'after' was get industrious and did a major cleaning in the bathroom. Something the wife was waiting for me to do.LOL My friend says it is not 'store acquired' stuff says it is most likely Mexican? Any thoughts. Maybe later I'll post a pic. Could it be what it says? Probably not right?:tommy::smokin:

Rock-in out with some old CCR from a 2005 LA concert. A John Fogerty concert, excellent if you are a Creedence Fan.....Born on the Bayou ya! That's like Jr. High and High School time for me, ahhh, Summers of love. Wife got it on the DVR for me last week or so.

Thanks for the link MC;)
Could be the same, but whoever grew it, let it seed. A*s kicking stuff, but then I've been smoking the same stuff -2008 outdoor grow - which I'm almost immune too now and the 'not quite there' Mazar. These buds are very compact green and not overly smashed ( definitely not pressed brick stuff). I"ll snap some pics tomorrow. :smokin:

Here's a pic of the stuff I got from San Diego and says 'snow cap' on the baggie. Who knows, but it nice stuff that someone let seed. I'd like to try this stuff without seeds!
WoW!:smokin:

Looks like sativa dominant bud to me. Since you sort of know what strain it is I'd be saving those seeds for future grows. If nothing else as an experimental seed. I hear snocap is big at the dispensary but it's hear say at this point.

I'd like to try a couple outside this spring along with regenerating one or two of the NL#5's from this present crop. Be interesting indeed! :bravo:

What were you thinking of putting outside the Northernlights or something different? I guess you kind answered already sorry a little slow this morning.

Originally planned on NL outside, the only seeds I had were a mix of Mazar and NL#5. Now I've got another option with this new addition of decent bagseed. So I'll regenerate or grow from seed, NL #5 and I'll add some of this - snow pac (who knows?) bagseed to see what I get.:yahoo:

Are you going to start your outdoor grow indoors?
If yes how far in advance of the transfer to outdoors?

The NL will be regenerated from one or two plants of the crop I'm growing now (if its very good stuff).

As far as timing goes, lets take a look. If I put them in flower, within a week (very possible) and about two months until harvest time. I'd be done inside by the end of April early May and you can't get any better than that as far as timing. Here at least.

I'd want to close up shop upstairs as I think my wife would be standing behind my back waiting for me to vacate the indoor. I may get to regenerate for a bit inside and of course I start the seeds indoors and baby them a little like bringing them inside when the big spring thunder storms with torrential rains and high winds come in May and June. Then their on there own with me just feeding them and making them happy.

I am on a constant vigil for bugs, especially those of the stem boring variety. Any of you ever encountered these buzzards before? I believe it's a moth parent that lays eggs on the stems, like sand stuck to the stem. Then these tiny maggot looking larvae hatch and bore right into the soft center of the stem eating there way up towards the tops where they emerge I guess as a moth? Never waited long enough to see that. As they start boring they leave a deposit of what they've just chewed up at the point of entry, then if you look up higher on the stem, you'll eventually see a slight bulge . A little vertical slit with a knife or sometimes just fingernails pulling the stem apart like opening a curtain, and there it is the little bugger all fattened up from eating your beautiful girl! Just pluck him out of there and check for more.

Here's some pics of the family:cheer::popcorn::cool:;)

I don't think I can wait much longer to go 12/12. I don't want it to get to cramped in there.:bong:

What would be the reason or benefit not to go to 12/12 now? Having to grow in a small space ourselves we look to get to flowering as soon as possible. Your plants look fantastic in size and shape. My vote would be to shut down the lights for 36 hours and then bring them on starting 12/12.

+rep if I can. they look fantastic! :bravo:

Thanks bud

I just let them out of their chains the other day and bam, they just opened up like this. I've got to get over to Lowes and get some soft whites for flower, hopefully they have something bigger than the 26 watters. 12/12 within the next few days perhaps.:smokin:

They look nice bro :yummy::thumb: I would switch to 12/12 soon if I were you too. 26 watters can make one helluva grow, but they work more efficiently with shorter plants. If you were to start flowering at that height it would be optimal cuz cfls don't penetrate that well. They look so healthy tho Woods, seriously bro. They're just gonna friggin explode in flower.. keep doin ya thing bro. +reps too

Thank you for the Reps Dro, much appreciated!

*using a 100w MH for veg and a 100w HPS for flower along with eight 26w CFL's.

Ya the plants just had a nice growth spurt just prior and during my latest work. When I took the bonds off, the girls just exploded. It was just the other day that I was saying 'one or two weeks and its 12/12.LOL Nope, I gotta get it done soon or I may be busting at the seams if I get more than 3 ladies. So it will be a 4 week veg and hopefully no more than eight week flower for the 'perfect three month long health care plan' :yahoo:

All I've got to do is p/u some CFL's at Lowes, I'll try to get out tomorrow, but I'd like to coordinate it with our groceries since it's located at the same shopping center. Yup, were trying to cut out as much unnecessary driving as we can.
