Woodsman's Northern Light #5 Grow

Update - Following the crimping and bending of the main stems on 2/15 (2/16 for plants #4 and #5)

All plants are doing fine. Adjusting height level of lights a few times a day as plants resettle after crimping and bending down their main stems the other day. Leaves are always popping up and either need to be tucked down out of the way or the lights are raised. On each plant there are now multiple tops with the most being on the larger plants #1 and #2. These two have at least a half dozen primary tops showing and more secondary's on the way. The other three plants are also doing well relative to their size with two, three or four primary tops showing.

All that needs to be done now is wait, water, feed and raise the lights as necessary. As soon as I see enough vertical growth from the new tops I'll go to 12/12. A week, maybe more, we'll see?

Took them all out for a quick change of scenery and a photo session today. So here you go:

Plant#5 (Notice the 'rounded teeth edges' on the leaves compared to all the other plants -zoom in if you can- almost like a different strain. Comments?)

Curious about the oddness in leave shape with Plant #5 (rounded edged teeth). Any Ideas? These were all bought from the same reputable seed source as 'Northern Lights #5'.

:thanks: for viewing :theband:

I find that one of the most fun parts of growing is getting every last bit out of the plant I lovingly took care of for months.

I agree! It's hard to stay away from them. In the summer my favorite place to hang out is on the back porch just watching or doing something with the plants.:thumb:

mighty pretty woods, remind me how old are they now? i unleashed my plants today, they're smiling::ganjamon:

i went back and saw they were 10 1/2 weeks in flower, any they look great

Your girls are looking great :yahoo:, I think NL is gonna take that LST just like Lilbit but maybe better, it is a very hearty strain. :welldone::bravo:.

I would rep you bro, but will have to catch you later, I will though! :ganjamon:

:peace: brother.

the rounded leafs will be a lil different. not experienced with northern lights but all strains have different phenos. I think that more indica leads to wider broader rounder leaves so that is likely a heavy or almost pure indica pheno.

I think you understand were I'm referring to, the rounded tips on each tooth.
So it's still a NL#5 but leaning in a different direction compared to the others? I've never seen a leaf with such rounded 'tooth tips' (LOL) From now on I'll probably be paying a lot of attention to other grows and their leaf contours! Thanks Train, who knows if it's a girl and goes all the way could be interesting and different taste, potency etc. :thumb:

indeed I know what you're talking about. the serrated grooves. leaf growth is prone to change as the plants get older also. some hybrids I've grown grow indica-like huge leafs in veg and then they flower and pump out these wimpy sativa esque leafs and buds... and vice versa.

The 10 1/2 weeks was my last grow the Mazar. These little babes are about 3 and a half weeks give or take a few days.

Thanks bud, Mine are so thick with foliage now its like 10 degrees cooler underneath the canopy at least on #1 and #2.

:ganjamon:I also plan on being a more observant parent that you've been. Shame on you, letting your girls go out on the town and getting all knocked up, bisexual, transsexual, strapped-on large budded party animals (well strapped-on and large budded is OK). :theband: I'm locking mine up for good!:yahoo:

:thumb: Very funny!

Great job taking the plunge and trying something new. It is great to try new experiments and see a positive result. I look forward to seeing a few multiple cola plants in your journal here. :bravo:
