Woodsman Outdoors

I've been here (watching), guess I'm still a little paranoid about posting, but I'm trying to get over it. I don't know if thats a good thing or not but I sure would like to share growing with someone(other than my wife). Is security not an issue with most of you?

This is a great place for you to share Elbee. As long as your discreet about what you say, you will be fine. We are all in this together buddy and we'd love to see your stuff!

Awesome pics as always!
Buds look fantastic and big...

Thank you kindly j6

How's your weather holding Woodsman?

It was really pretty cold here last week, but this week it's back up in the mid-80's and not so cold at night.

It's been terrific weather here also and will continue for at least the next ten days (according to forecasts). Now if it would stay this way for another three weeks to a month then I'll get everything finished (outside). My NL#5 should be ready in a week or two perhaps with the Mazar right behind followed by the Bubba Kush and the Runt. The Kush will come inside no matter what (to finish). The Runt may have been a successful experiment that hust ran out of time. We'll see.

what a great grow woods, let us know the final weight.:goodjob::yummy::rollit:
HH

You bet ya Hydro my friend, when it's all dried and into cure for at least a week I'll be able to put a number on it for sure. Right now I'm at approximately 4.5 oz per plant avg. for #2 and 1B that is. I believe I lost about 1/4 of my weights to the stem borers so far. I think I would have had at least 5oz/per plant or 5.5 if not for the bastards!

Lookin' fantastic Woodsman. :yummy:
Thank you buddy!

Well it took me forever, but I finally got my pictures entered in the POM contest. Whew, too may pics to choose from!

Thanks you for the kind words L. Glad your both OK and that 'your' bear is still happy (LOL) It would be nice if it would just move on though!

Woodsman the Greenhouse site says their Bubba Kush flowers for 9 weeks. Sounds like yours is going a lot longer?

I started this plant very late (mid summer) perhaps that had something to do with it flowering so late. It has progressed nicely since then though, just the late start I believe. She is in the process of fattening up right now. Couple weeks more perhaps. :MoreNutes:

Words of Wisdom!

Never feed your outdoor plants molasses! Fungus Gnats love the stuff!! Ugh! Back to the Neem oil and Azamax!

It should read Words of Woodsman. Maybe one day you could have a book published under that title.:bongrip:

Haha! May be a short book!LOL!

Just took several pics of my remaining plants including some bud shots. Unfortunately most of them were out of focus so I'm not going to bother uploading them, I'll take some more tomorrow. It was just after dusk and I couldn't get the darn thing to give me the 'green box' in the middle. They were all way too fuzzy.

Earlier today I took a few drags off my pipe that had a tiny bud from my Bagweed 1A conveniently laying in it. I've been quite delirious since (2 hours). Really made me a vegetable. Almost narcotic in effect and I never thought I would say that about anything I grew or smoked for that matter. Actually it was too powerful, freaking amazing. If I had been out in public, I don't know what I'd have done. Hide I guess! :rasta: This is the same stuff that I tried a week ago and my wife told me that i looked way too stoned. It will go to the jars tonight for it's cure. I've still got 1/3 of the plant left, trying to let it get all cloudy at least. This stuff still has clear in it. I am really @$%!$% up!

Later!

Glad your fried Woodsman! Tomorrow I finally get to try my white widow that was harvested 3 weeks ago. I've been quit for 5 weeks now(have to pass a test tomorrow) so it should really knock my d!ck in the dirt. I can't wait.:yahoo:
I guess a benefit is I had time to dry and cure it some before trying it.
I'll probably look a lot like this :loopy:

Anyway glad your doing well, keep up the great work

:rollit:Test is off to the lab! I came home rolled one up, took three hits, and had to lay it down before it killed me. The high is amazing. I smoked alittle over an hour ago and I'm still going up. One of those highs where when your minds moving a mile/minute, but you're super stoned.

On a bad note though, it tastes like shit. Don't know what I did wrong but some thing is defiantly up. The bud looked and smelled awesome, all through growing, harvesting, box drying for a week, then paper bagged for 3 or 4 days, and about ten days in jar moved around every day. They looked and broke up good too. My fingers were nice and sticky afterward but the bud was totally dry, but the joint smoked kinda slow and the smoke was harsh. Also the ashes were almost black.

Any help or advise on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hope everything is still going well in your neck of the woods!

ok, im a bug on curing....if it was dry when put in the jar, it was probably dead....i make sure my buds are still a little moist after the sack treatment, and yes i do goof up myself....and ten days is not a cure, a cure might begin at a month, and finishes when all the green is gone....usually 6wks or more...i have some that goes for 9 months cure...and yes, i know its hard to do that...when the green is gone, the bitter is gone....the green usually goes black, rare, or blondish, brown which is the usual.....the cure takes place from fermentation, which only takes place if the plant is still alive....it can remain so on a microscopic level up to and around nine months....while the fermentation takes place, which is taking all of the usable starches to sugar and uses it up...gone is bitter....the chlorophyll turns to a sugar (the green)and is used in the process....the other thing is how did you flush?? mine go in, an emergency, 7-9days, altho i have goofed this part up to, to 14days which is my favorite....very clean taste....after all thats done is nothing but pure smoke....beautiful smoke....but there is always the water cure for dope gone wrong....hope this helps, L

:thankyou: for the quick response and detailed information! +rep

When I put the bud in the jar it was pretty dry on the outside but it was dense and the stems on the big ones wouldn't snap yet. The smaller ones I tried did though. I thought I had read somewhere that this a correct way to tell when to jar it. Does this sound right?

" the green usually goes black, rare, or blondish, brownsual"- Are you referring to color of the inside of the bud, "hairs"(which are the typical red on mine) , or the ashes?(black from the joint)

As far as my flush, I'm growing in hempys with Osmocote +. So is really no way to flush them. I had read from other growers that this was not an issue. When you asked about the flush though it just occurred to me that I've been using a light(always less than half strength) solution of GH flower nutes for a mild phosphorus deficiency and cal/mag for calcium as well. Both worked well at fixing their issues at about 3/4 weeks into flower but I never stopped using them so they never had a chance to flush out.DOH! I'd bet thats allot of the problem.

So if the bitter doesn't go away with some time, a water cure will work? I knew that 10 days wasn't a full cure, but I didn't expect it to be so harsh. The first harvest I had didn't taste like this, with about the same amount of time in a jar. Wasn't anything special, but I blamed it on the plant having deficiencies half its life with less than optimum yields(kinda airy). I figured this harvest would be much better(it definitely is in yield and buzz)than that one because the plant stayed in good health all the way through, the buds were dense and heavy, and it was covered in trichomes. Also I had a microscope this time to check them with(I harvested at about 25% amber.

Thanks again for your help. Any help/advise is greatly appreciated.

Please let me know if my newbie questions become excessive Woodsman I can ask them in grow support area if you wish.
