Pic and Grow Update

Back is feeling a bit better today so I was out there fooling with the crop a little, took some pics and added more camouflage around the deck since the foliage is now greatly reduced in the surrounding woods

Northern Lights #5 Main Cola

Mazar's Main Cola

Mazar18.JPG

Mazar packed with trichomes. This is good news for me, my first attempt growing Mazar resulted in some non-potent smoke. That was an indoor and these seeds are the free ones from my NL#5 order.

Top from the Runt (regenerating) This is very good smoke (still have some from it's first crop). Nothing fancy as far as taste, but get's me couch locked big time.

Smells like Bazooka Bubble Gum!
Bubba Kush Cola -Adding more trichomes and getting fatter every day! Can't wait for this one!

Bubba Trichs!

Bubba_Kush18.JPG

Bubba Kush, not the biggest plant as it is only 3.5 months old so I don't expect to get that much from her, but what I do harvest should be some awesome stuff. She just started to smell like bubblegum.

Bubba_Kush_2_4.JPG

We are expecting some very cold overnight temps this weekend. Mid thirties it says, so I may have to get my improvised 'tent' and heater out there for a couple of days. I am so close on all of them that it would be terrible to lose one to the cold at this point. I think that in two weeks I may be able to harvest all of them and though some may not have reached their fullest potential, it will be better than not harvesting some of them as I thought would happen. The Runt for instance was going to be too late to finish as was the Mazar. Now, I'm seeing clear and cloudy on all four of the remaining plants. The NL#5 is starting to look ready (red hairs all over) she is mostly cloudy in fact, though I may let her go a bit longer to get some amber. I harvested the three bagweeds at mostly cloudy with even some clear. All three are excellent even before a cure. The NL should go to some amber I would think, I'll just have to do some microwaving to see what's up. The Bubba is in the same boat as the Mazar and the Runt. A mix of clear and cloudy trichomes. Can anyone tell me when the best time to harvest a BK is? Cloudy or Cloudy/Amber? This is my first attempt at growing one.

As always your comments and suggestions are most welcome!

As usual brother, those look awesome, gorgeous, beautiful etc...!

That Bubba Kush looks like it might have some time left. You think she will be able to finish? I harvest my Kush strains at about 20-25% amber. That is me though.

Hi Woodsman! I'm drooling over your girls, you HAVE TO finish them!

I've been trying to find info on Bubba Kush without much luck. It's supposed to go 9 weeks indoors and finish at the end of October in Europe, which should be about the same here. So it's a relatively early finisher I'd say.

Thanks for the beautiful pics. I can't wait for mine to start taking off.

Take care and be careful of your back!

BTW voting has started on POM good luck!!!!!

There are so many beautiful plants I wish you all could win.:thumb:

looking sweet brother grower,
hope they handle the cold all right it has been getting down there where im at PNW.never done a BK but if you want couchlock go cloudy amber should do the job !!!!!:welldone:

Hi fluroman thanks for the kind words. Lst night it went down to the upper 30's and they survived. A bit colder tonight though,I'll see if I feel better (back) I'll have to erect the tent and heater up.

I'll be letting the BK get some amber if I can. I'd bring her inside if it got consistently too cold, but she's got the damn fungus gnats (they all do) and I don't really want to bring them inside!. I've given them treatments with Azamax (bottles empty now) and I've sprayed the soil with neem oil a few times and still they are there. perhaps less than before though.

Hello V! Yup it's still got a ways to go yet, still clear and cloudy and mostly all white hairs. I'm hoping that with the cooler temps, she'll finish quick (two weeks) hopefully. I'm not feeding any of them now, just water. Just be a waste of nutes and I may have to ppull some of them a little prematurely and may not have time to give them a good flush if I do feed them. They are on there own!

woodsman,
i leave mine until 30 amber, but anytime sooner....depends on what you want....i use mine for pain, so go for more amber....it is one of the pain meds, but it is funny, if you go too long, it looses its punch, so about thirty, pick it, and some of the cloudy will go to amber and most of the clear will go to cloudy....i still havent tried one for energy, so may pick the next one more clear...been experimenting with that lately....but did notice on the bubba that they do have an optimum time frame...not like others....brain storm is like bubba, one step over the line and that witch will go to seeds....so its another pick early....all the buds i let get riper, all had a seed or two in them...means nothing to me, but notice a lot of peeps get down right pouty about a SEED!!....so on those i go 30clear, 40 cloudy, 30 honey...and the pistils will turn red as they cure....and the green goes to a pretty brown color...after that point it puts me to sleep, and then its a who cares, as i can go to sleep on my own usually...so thats a waste for ME....also bubba has two distinct strains....one is lighter colored than the other, the other is more a red brown...both are good...ive had mine for over two yrs now, and this is like the 6th clone of a clone that is growing now....i still need to take clones off of this one....but want to get it bigger first...got to go do chores now...

meant to tell you, all those plants are champions....they are great....look healthy ect....the fungus gnats are from the damp...no pest strips work great on them....also neem on the soil....pesky devils....we got our first killing frost last night...its headed your way....lost alot of the flowers last night, so time to dig up bulbs...L:goodjob::welldone::peacetwo:

Hello Boot! Read over your question a few times and for the life of me can't figure out what you were referring to? It's my fault I'm sure, many things pass right by without me knowing about them! LOL And yes you all presumed correctly :rasta:, I'm not sure what an 'internet intervention' is?

Boot, you'll just have to explain it to me in more over the age of fifty language (missed the boat).

Hello L! Thanks for taking the time to come by and straighten me out about the Bubba Kush. Great advise that will be taken and used. Still a couple of weeks to go I would think with this weather, not much growing will be happening or very slow growth if any. Just maturing I hope as that's all she needs to do. Starting to really put on the trichs, the leaves are now becoming quite frosted and her calyxes are becoming huge and fat! I even checked a few out to see if there were seeds inside by squeezing them a bit. Empty. She's still clear/cloudy and not ready.

I am totally surprised about the Mazar though, she's got the most flower volume of any of the plants. Her structure consists of several major very long and straight stalks surrounding one fat cola. These straight branches are covered with buds from the bottom to the top with no side branching whatsoever. She is also starting to really frost up.

The NL#5 continues to be my sweetest plant of all. Like juicy fruit gum or some such thing. She should (by looks) be the next one ready.

Hey you Woodsman!

I had/have a few personal issues in my life going on and I had to let go of the MJ for awhile. I am still here though, alive and kicking, and rooting for all my friend growers.

Good luck in the contest.

Hello G, what's this about having to let go with the MJ? I'll have to go over to your place and see what's going on.

Just let me know their medicinal effects.

looking good....L
busy doing repotting....have one whole side of the budroom now in orange ribbons and nothing to replace them with....been keeping them small, so now have to repot and get all of that ready....ugh....next time friend....L:peacetwo:

Very, very nice. Looks like you are getting close to the finish line and buds o plenty to get you through all that manicuring. That maz looks like an upside down octopus, I want one..... Again very nice job...

Here we are mid October and you are still growing buds outside. You must not be as far
north as I originally thought you were.

Nice season for you Woodsman, and nice photos. You do both nicely :)
