Who Let The Dogs Out? Chem Comparison Grow!

Never smoked chem 91. Never was very big over here in Europe so i cannot say much about which parent mine resembles but i’m guessing it’s a more stardawg leaning pheno as the high is very cerebral and euphoric with hardly any body effects at all. Yet incredibly comfortable. Oh i can’t wait to harvest those glistening nugs.

My cookies and chem definitely can put me down for the count! It starts off very Benzo-ie. it’s like taking a Xanax. And it’s half stardawg.

Cookies does that to a man. Hahah. But i’m sure it looks sexy as hell. Cookies and chem is a coveted cross it seems and i got one cookies and chem cross myself. Peyote Cookies x Dinachem. I’m doing a micro pheno run atm to see how well the two genetics mix. I’m sure as the flowering progresses they’re gonna offer some beautiful photos.

Cool discussion on the DinaChem, guys, thanks for sharing that. I reminded me that I didn't post the pics I took yesterday on this thread. I did a journal update, but here are the two chems (Dina and 91). Interesting the different growth habit. They are both 48 DAYS in veg:

Will likely flip to 12/12 in the next week or so.

Happy Monday!

Lookin really excellent Bardy. Your plants have a very beautiful color to them. Nice and vibrant.

It’s time for my update as well! Day 43 since flipping the lights. I’m in the home stretch now folks, only 20-27 more days to go!

I did a huge defoliation on pure gas and gasfruit yesterday. Now the light penetrates both plants really well.
I’m gonna go through today and snip all the tops of each top bud as I was talking about earlier with Beez and Emilya.
Thanks for checking me out everyone!

Thanks Cheffy!

You have a forest going there - nice job! I am going really light on the defol this time around. I'll remove some leaves around day 21 of flowering, just for air circulation and light penetration. You are a couple of months ahead of me - I am curious to see how the back-building works. Please take some photos to share here if you remember. Cheers!

I had a really bad weekend, and spent the day at the hospital. I should be back up to snuff in a day or two. Healing isn't happening as fast as it once did.

Oh no! I am very sorry to hear that Mr. Salt. I hope that you got good care, and had some hot young nurse giving you frequent sponge baths. Glad that you are back home, as that seems to help the healing process way more than hospitals. Wishing you a full, speedy recovery, my friend.

@The Bard I will document what I do and post it here. Together we can all see if snipping the top really worked in building out the thickness of the buds.

@Old Salt shoot that sucks. I hope nothing too serious, and I hope you have a speedy recovery.

Thanks Chef - very curious to see it in action.

I did it on my last crop and the nugs turned out so huge. The way I feel is that I’m removing such a tiny amount of material that even if it doesn’t do anything, it’s no big deal. The potential upside is worth what you’re losing (basically nothing)

Check out this post for an excellent picture of a back built bud. The very next message down shows pictures of buds that were not backbuilt.

But completely different cultivars right? Not identical clones?

Look around on that thread and you will find other shots of that plant of buds that were not backbuilt. I did it only on a few just to show the result, purposely in that thread. Yes, the shots just below that are of a completely different variety, and I simply illustrated those as examples of a typical conical bud that we have all seen over and over again in our gardens.
Backbuilding drastically changes the shape and size of the bud. Guaranteed. Every time. 100%.
Try it on a bud; what do you have to lose?
