here is a shot to show you the root experiment
10-14-12.JPG

and here are some of the clones.
the 10 originals are nice, i took 12 more, but they are all from small undesireable branches i trimmed from the bottom of the mutants. they look mutant too. if they don't root oh well. I also spilled a bottle of clonex gel. . . all over the place.

thanks PA,

weedy, naw there isn't any nute burn. Right now the EC is 1.5, so on a 500 scale that is 750ppm, or on a 700 scale it 1050 ppm. I am using the mother schedule from AN. . . before i topped it off a couple days ago it did spike up to 1.9, but even under a 700 conversion, that's only 1350 ppm. def not to high.

if your referring to how the leaves curl back under and sometimes look wavy, thats due to the spin. the spin confuses the plant as to which way is up, just through my experiences through running this wheel, i have found that the fan leaves are the fastest to try to correct themselves against gravity because they are the lifeblood of the energy production of the plant, and it wants to make sure it gets the light.

in the wheel, the fan leaves invariably curl under like an umbrella and often twist their stems and are upsidedown effectively doing what they are trying to prevent, turn their backside to the light. I usually remove the ones that are inverted.

the yellowness is just from the HPS.

Hey WOF! It had been a little bit since I checked in for your show - and MY OH MY!!! What a show!!! This wheel thing is completely foreign to me - but sure is cool!!! Man, once you LST them in that thing they just go to town bushin' for you, don't they!!! WOW! :goodjob: and very impressive grow ya got goin' on! What a SOG goin' thru those screens! Love it! I'll be tuned for the flowers!:cheertwo:

thanks granny.

yeah they bush out a ton, i think it's because they dont know which top is the top. so they all grow evenly. i like it, but i wish i had 3x as many in there. i would switch to 12/12 today if i did.

well, i have no money what so ever but i have credit. muhahahaha

i just bought a small chiller. YAY!!!! i accidently left the pump on after stirring the tank and it warmed the res to 80*. its back down to about 75 now, it won't get cool until the next dark cycle.

this should fix that problem from ever happening again

Looks like you made out like a bandit on this one.

i think the 200w is when the compressor is running, since my res is small (10-11 gal) and its insulated . . .and since my res is sitting at equilibrium at 67* right now i doubt it would even kick on much.

the cool thing is that the heate is built in so if i plug it in and set it at X, it will heat or cool as needed to maintain that temp. when it's not heating or cooling, it's usuing almost no watts. just for the sensors. the water is pushed through the chill by an external pump. that pump will add more watts still, but i have a feeling this wont kick on very often. . . soon it may just be heating. lol.

the funny thing is i had both of your ideas when i just realized. . . sweet, more cooling power. . . 200 more watts, ouch. lol.

im lol'ing at what im about to say but.....

what the hell is that wheel thing???????
aaaaand..
THATS WHY YOUR NAME IS WHEELOFORTUNE!

how the hell have i never stumbled upon this journal before????

n shit man no wonder you know what youre talking about.. you got like 8 different setups goin on right now.. i just spent 30 minutes readin thru the 2nd half of this thing when i told myself i wouldnt!

i cant REALLY tell whats goin on to be honest.. maybe cuz everytime i see the wheel i start thinking of a few horror movies and it throws me off..... anywho

Rock

awesome grow man ! ! ! ! ! !

have you switched the scrog setup into flower yet?

So the one you ordered didn't have the heater and this one does? I need to get one of those. How much?

i haven't hooked it up yet because i need some 1/2" hose, but from the way the box reads its all in there, and i dont see anywhere i could hook anything external up to it. i would assume both models have it built in, but the site i ordered from had it worded badly and i thought i had to buy something. . . I'll find out for sure when i hook it up i'll get hose tomorrow. $200 marine depot.

odor you crack me up. you never saw the link in my sig? you have one in yours, so you should know about it.

yeah i don't even like WOF t.v. show, i suck at it. and i hate sucking at stuff. but i thought it was clever considering. lol.

the wheel is being lst'd this turn as an experiment, I am liking the results so far. the wheel is runnning al AN nutes, almost the full line. :bong:

the scrog on the other side of the tent is an organic supersoil mix on the bottom half and soiless mix on the top half, all in 3.5 gal grow bags. I just feed the dirt plants plain RO water. nothing more. super simple, organic goodness. :ganjamon:

since they are all in the same tent, i obviously have to synchronize the lights, so they will all go into flower together. . . right now i'm just waiting on some more clones to come through for the wheel, then when it's sufficiently full i will switch. i dont think the scrog is ready yet anyways. i really haven't done any tucking yet.

glad you found me bro
:welcome:
