WheelO's - 360#2 - Auto Collection galore

i have to work in the morning, so i shouldn't have stayed up this late, but. . .

I wanted to get things poppin, so i stayed up late to start these seeds.
PH adjusted water, RW cylinders, 35 seeds (genes mentioned above), 2 Snowryders that didn't pop yet (3 died when I was at my dads house because they were in standing water too long. i forgot to drain it before i left. doh!

The fridge is exactly 80 deg. and 85% humidity, perfect for seeding. I still need to get some more flouro for this box.

thanks prop, i'll try my best to make it worth your while.
I still consider myself a newb to hydro and RW, but i'm a quick study.
this camera is going to make the journal much nicer than last time.

Sup pan, thx for the info.
DSdotcom is going to send me the 2 packs of feminized lemon skunk, and i get to keep what he already sent me. apparently he was on vaca, and the help messed up my order. lol.

its fine by me. he offered to fix it completely if i returned the wrong ones, but i already started them (i didn't tell him that). I am a satisfied customer. got two bags for the price of one. even though they are not the genes i wanted, they are good ones and supposedly have max heights of 18 inches.

besides, i will cross them with the snowryders and hopefully that will shorten up their offspring a bit. i wont seed anyone who gets too tall. it should work out ok. . . i hope.

no sense in posting new pics. . . not much is happening yet.

btw, to all who wished my uncle well, i would like to thank you for your support.

he passed away this morning.
at least it wasn't long and painful

all who knew him will miss him.

man, havng the lights on 24/7 is awesome. I can go in there whenever i want and i never have to worry about light poison.

nothing new to see, but i can still see it.

i started them spinning now, i am running 450w hps and 128w flouro. i could probably put that 250w mh side lighting too to really balance out the spectrum. maybe if im bored later. i want to prevent as much stretching as i can to keep them as compact as possible

if you go to the big pics, you can see in the closeups of the SR that there is some speckling on the leaves. also the leaves have started to curl in from the rotation. the curl is to be expected.

they are still tiny so far.

ok, so I am finding out that germinating seeds in RW is a bad idea for me.

I usually go the paper towel method, but i had so many seeds and had to keep track of who was who so I thought it would be easier this way. . . yeah easier to kill seeds.

I went through all the cubes, and had to help a bunch of the sprouts slide up so that the top would pop out of the top so it can open. some of them had healthy roots, but went mushy where the stem meets the head. i lost 3 popped seedlings that way.

I guess i kept them too wet?

I think i caught it early enough that I can just check them daily and pull them to the top when they open. I should be able to prevent that from happening and not lose too many more. I guess i wont keep the RW completely saturated anymore either.

next time I will go back to the tried and tested paper towel method. I never lose any with that method. oh well, live and learn I guess. At this point, losing some seedlings isn't a major thing in my life.
