What's In Jim's Grow Room?

Good evening Jim, forgive my manners for not popping in earlier as I was looking back a page or cpl.... Found some interesting astrology regarding our cannabis consumption....

Lots of stuff on my mind this morning. I think I must have smoked a bunch of kief yesterday afternoon.

The Timber 1CL arrived yesterday. Signature required by UPS but I was waiting. UPS guy seemed relieved. I didn't photograph the un-boxing but I can tell you it was packed extremely well. Timber has a nice high touch with shipping documents and decals in a pretty green envelope.

Information on the website says the lamp is daisy chain-able but I don't see the female. No doubt I'll contact them about this.

It's a pretty bright white light and I didn't feel any unusual heat.

She's already hung in the bloom tent and covers the front area very well with the Mars Hydro covering the rear. I feel pretty good about these cobs.

Nice looking lamp there MJ.... congrats. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the output and the produce!

I have 12 of the Vero29 V7 in my flower room!! It can warm up when the heat in the house is on and the lamps too. Was 81F in the flower room at lunch time today with 65% RH with lots of air movement.

My experience - the Mars lamps get a good bit warmer & use a good bit more wattage for same light output. I went to COBs to save on heat at first, then saw what a difference with the plants and that was it!

I can't say that there has been little change. Lots of things going on and I'm just letting it happen.

Cuts from the Blue Dream and Fast n Vast x Master Kush x Panama graduated to some soil.

While I have it on my mind, the cross I bred from my Classics grow needs a name and I've decided to call her Fx. Fast n Vast x Master Kush x Panama (FVxMKxPam) just needs some simplification. So going forward if I type Fx you'll know. I'll try to footnote it occasionally as acronyms and digital shorthand sometimes drives my memory a little wacky. I like to note that I'm in that generation that tends to type in (mostly) complete sentences.:rofl::rofl:

I also found that the Labyrinth cut that I was so worried about had some roots and she also got a little pot of soil. She looks so pathetic suffering through her lack of nutrients of rock wool but she's going to be fine. All is well in Jim's world now that I know the genetics are protected and I'll be able to move big Labyrinth over to the bloom tent. I had actually taken a second cut from the mom before I noticed the roots. I have more seeds but conservation by clone is so much fun and I've enjoyed too many that I didn't clone.

Devil's Carnival must be liking her spot under the new cobs. She's decided to throw out new pistils. I thought nanners when I first saw them. Nope...Pistils or Stigmas as some call them. I have no dog in that fight.

Anyway....even with her new spurt she's just about done. I noted a couple amber trichomes last night and she's mostly milky, Here are the pics.

Labyrinth 1.1 She lost much of her color. Soon you'll see that center green up and grow out. I'll remove all that dead stuff pretty soon.

My wake n bake was 1 bowl of Jack Herer and 1 bowl of Chem Dawg. I topped that off with a little Panama and I haven't eaten yet. Skipping breakfast isn't good. Have a great day folks.

Evening Jim, that Devils Carnival is something else my friend...:bravo:

Welcome Smeegol...She's a friend's cross of Dark Devil auto and Carnival. Some have grown out photoperiod and are very beautiful. I've heard that one of the phenos is very powerful too. But I got the runt auto so I let her grow. She might be a treat.

plants are looking good jim i see what your talking about the uds being bright they kinda glow don't they, subbed in to watch the show!

High Stick. Welcome to my tents where I'm trying to do too much....and attempting my first fully organic grow. I have 2 more UDs which will go into the bloom tent in the next day or so along with 2 more of the Fx. Oh well, thanks for coming over.

Hey there MJ - that's about right for a Lab clone. They take longer to get roots. Sometimes I get to a little tiny green spec left .. then roots outta no where. Just keep all your cloning thing clean. Trimmers trays ... everything clean.

I'm OCD when it comes to trimmers and blades. My clean towel and 91% ISO is always close by.

Hi Jim,

Hope you don't mind if I have a seat right here,,

:popcorn::passitleft::Love::Love::Love::hippy:

High lazyfish. If I had helpers that's exactly where they would have seated you.

Pass left :passitleft:

Hi Jim :ciao: What is the smoke of the day?

Did ya ask about daisy chain-able? With my timber kit, I know the cobs themselves chain together in a simple series circuit but adding cobs usually means new power supply requirement. I am not sure if they mean something else.

I run mine with out the reflectors cause of the short height I have. I did a comparison with a piece of paper when I assembled the kit.

Just for information, I hope this might help. Some experiments i did

you can see the focus in the light.

Then I moved it right to under the cob with the reflector off
and it diffused the focus on the paper, as you would expect..

Cheers Jim

I like to use the reflectors... the first reason - so I can see. Without them the lights shine in my eyes so I was thinking prolly better to direct that down towards the ground and I can see!! That and the reflectors help a little bit keeping plants out of the way and burning... well 90% effective for that.

Here you can just barely see the btm of the reflectors... Main cola up past the lamps and side skirt colas leaning into the 1750K (I only have 2 of those = golden/redish color). Without a reflector I probably wouldn't be able to take this pic.

I started a little test on Jan 28 by grinding 1.9 grams of Chemdawg. I've become accustomed to having Chemdawg as my wake n bake each day and I smoked the very last of this today. So 1.9 grams lasted 13 complete days. I have 1 quart jar left with the weight unknown. I love my Chemdawg from HSO so I'm wondering how the Chem 91 in the Ultra Dawg is going to effect me. The one thing I know is Chemdawg hits me in all the right spots and lasts quite a while. I've also found that topping it off with Blue Dream, Pakistan Valley or Panama brings a little stimulant to be productive. I've vacuumed the house this morning, photographed my plants and washed one load of laundry and folded another. Oh well. It either proves I'm a light weight or the Chemdawg I grew was a good one.

On to the photos.

Hopefully I'll get to up-can the remaining 4 Fx girls today and move them all to the bloom tent. I've already moved one over there this week and I've got to up-can her too. Questioning again if I have enough soil. Oh well.

Have a great day folks. I'm so glad you stopped in.

They're really taking off!
