What's In Jim's Grow Room?

You'll be nicely surprised  BTW I think you have a male growing there or an OG female, hard to tell for now.

Jim.... another killer PV.... :dreamy:

After transplanting yesterday Labyrinth really perked up this morning. Gosh she's a pretty girl. Everything is nice in the veg tent but I foresee things might get a little cramped in there once all the cuttings need pots of soil. I certainly think root production of the cuts to be about 2 weeks regardless of the time UD 1.1 took.

I'm fairly confident that I can get the clone to grow to my satisfaction if I can get them to soil. Actually, the parent/donor will have a nice veg period and will have the proper maturity to go ahead and flower those to determine sex. Here's where I should fight the desire to rush things to properly grow out these crosses. Time for Jim to be patient so some magic can appear.

So here's a little photographic treat for ya. Actually, nothing special....just lots of photos. Blue Dream was my wake and bake this morning. :bongrip:

Bloom Tent Team

I made a Malted Barley tea overnight. First time for me. Now I get to feed all the blooming girls and see what it does. I'll be running these primarily on Budswel which is seabird and bat guano.

I still need to trim more on these but every one is already forming pistils. I guess I'll just be trimming underside larf.

They all look good Jim. Malted barley tea, very nice, I still haven't ordered any barley. I know I could use some though.

Full organic grow will either work well or teach me a lesson. Even if this turns into a crappy grow at some point I might be able to post a nug behind Cola Monster somewhere and title it "Organic Rude Dawg" ©.

Just Blue Dreamin' here I guess.

Garden is lokking lovely brother M.J.
I gots to try some blue dream. Fell like a dweeb just saying that.
The wife is a sativa diva ,think she might like that.

Thanks and Yes...you should try some Blue Dream. I have a shed load of it but some not of the highest quality. I do have it high on my list but I keep looking. These new genetics in the veg tent hold high promise....Plus they're new and I can get excited about that.

Great looking veg garden MJ. Real healthy & perfect green. Organics can produce flavor & terps. that are hard to rival. Others may argue/differ but organic growers know. I know commercial growers that grow little organic victory gardens for personal use. :Namaste:

Thanks BL. Coming from you that makes me feel I'm on top of the world.

While I've had fairly good luck on getting some flavor and terpenes from my grows I know there's better just by getting the grow part right. I wish I had one organic grow under my belt so I wouldn't feel on edge all the time. Example: I keep forgetting about adding a little cal mag to their water. I spent two weeks making that cal mag and keep forgetting about it. Hopefully, it won't bite me in the ass.

Thanks again DK and BL for the positive comments. There are times when I just need the confirmation of experienced growers that things are looking ok and that I'm on the right track. :Namaste:

Looking good mate.. I think genetics is the controlling factor, more than the type of growing style.. Grown right and you'll produce top shelf no matter the technique used.. I also think it's good to experiment with your growing style,to find the one that suits or keeps the passion...

It takes a bit to switch to organic growing if you've been using synthetics all your life, but it's certainly possible. Theory is quite important to understand what's happening in living soil, which is probably the single most important things. Then there are soil mixes, compost teas, drenches and additives, which can be all adjusted to personal needs :passitleft:

Spot all Grizz...genetics make all the difference. I think back at my first grow of bag seed and I look behind me in the grow room at whole stash of jars that came from the last couple of grows. One of those jars contained some Amherst Sour Diesel which was my wake n bake this morning. I really haven't given the ASD much more than a taste before. Two bowls from this morning makes all the difference. A good part of the grow is also in the cure.

I've always loved soil. Looking forward to these Ultra Dawg genetics which come highly regarded. My own little genetic mix is in there and that Labyrinth.....She might be the prize. :lot-o-toke:

I'm very fortunate that I've primarily used Fox Farms nutes. Grow Big is the only synthetic bottle in the line I've been using and I can easily replace this with fish, kelp and EWC. Thanks for stopping by. I'm going to take some close up photos of all the UDs today for you to see. I haven't seen anything concerning sex but UD #1 acts like a male.

Afternoon or evening your side, just started my own grow, month and a bit, soil and CFL till I can get my hands on the big boys, so hope you don't mind me sliding up a seat for this one, regards from South Africa

:welcome: Smeegol. I'm so glad you've started a grow. My first was with CFL and I got a harvest so I know it can be done. As a matter of fact the last weed I bought was right before that little harvest and I haven't looked back.

I follow TheBlaze over in your country and know that significant genetics come from your area. One of these days I'd like to give Durban Poison a try.

Today's Activities: I've already given the bloom tent girls water with 2 TBS Budswel and 2 tsp cal mag. Budswel is just seabird and bat guano with EWC. I was a little surprised that these pots were almost dry. They got 1 gal of that Barley malt tea 2 days ago.

Veg tent: I took some pics of the Ultra Dawgs and mixed some kelp, water and microbe brew for the girls over here.

Ultra Dawg #2

Edit: This is actually UD #1

I was looking at the pictures and noticed what looks like she's showing some female parts. This is promising for me as I believe UD #1 is going to be a boy. Too soon to tell from a plant in veg but I like the looks of this. The original photo and magnification of the bud site:

Have a great day folks. Schmokin' some Chemdawg too! :bongrip:

I would get a skirt on that. I see a couple of hairs I think on the right. MagicJim if you get a chance would like someone with some Blue Dream experience to take a look at my journal and let me know if you see something I may be missing.

High JustMeds. I just went back there to look at her again as I only saw that in the photo....then got the plant # wrong. I saw that area with the loupe and sure enough it does look like pre-flowers. I just trimmed her yesterday so I dare not just throw her in the flower tent yet.

I went over to your grow and saw that Doc Bud had just visited and commented. If you're in his mix using his potions, I'd follow his advice. That Blue Dream looked as good as any of mine and you're going to just love it. :ganjamon:

She is giving you a hint of what is to come. I would think give her a couple days and flip anytime your comfy after that. How long was your stretch with the Blue Dream? Mine has not stretched a bunch, but she is looking like she may fill out real nice.

When I think about it, the slower the stretch the better but a plant can grow in spurts. Much will depend on light and pot size but I also believe in the sexual maturity of the veg plant when it went to whatever flower lighting schedule you're using. I just sometimes fill the bowl and watch. Jack Herer this morning. :bongrip:

I got some more close ups magnified this morning. Interesting but for some reason I'm still not convinced she's a she. It's not my kind of luck and it just grows manly. :bongrip:
