What's In Jim's Grow Room?

Shoulders and golf don't mix well.. I was looking forward to my golf life after footy. Until I popped my ac joints in my last year, hahaha last game actually  lawn bowls is now my game.. not sure if it's played over there.. an oldies game but the young ones are the better players.. the beauty of it is its run by pensioners, smoke while playing and the beer prices are from 1983, no exercise required and a game a skill. It really is a tick in every box :passitleft: you only need to wait a week for a freebie. They'd still be half price in Australia around November :rofl:

My local senior center has a billiards table. I still have my old Meucci cue stick. Sadly, my eyes aren't what they used to be.

No lawn bowling around here that I'm aware of but those beer prices sound good.

Snow is nearly gone now as it's 63o F outside this afternoon. Took my little car out for a ride to charge up the battery. Cold and batteries don't mix.

Yes Sue. I'm hoping the Devil's carnival will have some of that motivation built in its genetics.

REPS for recipe, thanks so much for the pictures. So much easier to understand. What did you end up doing with the stuff that didn't make it into the oil? Just curious.
:hugs:

I took about 1 ML orally this morning as my shoulder has gone south again...two days now. The pain cream works but I've had virtually no relief today. I'm going to ice the shoulder now to see if that would help. I have no idea how I hurt this shoulder again. Maybe the cortisone shot I got in October has just worn off.

But basically I'll use the infused grape seed oil for capsules.

I use this stuff for certain aches and pains. I know its probably not as helpful for the actual relief provided by cannabis and pain cremes though. I used it in martial arts and mom swears by it for her shoulder surgery pain. Can be a challenge to find. I get it from a local asian import store.

Thanks Urb. This shoulder started getting better yesterday so I trusted it enough to wash my car and truck. It was a warm day as is today....raining today but warm and that's so much better for my old body. I have to admit that I was somewhat skeptical of cannabis infused oil pain cream but now I'm a believer.

Things are slowly coming together in the veg tent and I up-canned all the little Fast n Vast x Master Kush x Panama (FVxMKxPam) seedlings to a 6 inch plastic pots. The 6 inch pot is less than a gallon which weren't available at Lowe's. I'm not sure I'll be able to get any more pots in there at the moment.

I may as well toss the Devil's Carnival cuts I took as they won't be worth the floor space. The DC revealed its auto-flowering genetics at the time I took the cuts.

Plans were to take cuts on all of these regular seed plants and sex the clones and then do something else if I have a male. It just gets confusing especially if I've been smoking this Jack Herer. I think that's what I like about Chemdawg, Blue Dream and Jack Herer. Somewhere during a session there's always a state of confusion to travel through.

If I would clone the clone moms and go ahead and flower them I could put the light down a little lower too. It's fun to be me with all this poor planning going on.

Several of the FVxMKxPams were set back slightly because I had to separate 4 seedlings from 2 small pots earlier.

I've got a few roadblocks in the way here. I've only got about 10 gallons of soil mix left. I have quite a bit of just recycled soil in the storage building that I could use if I could get that bin in the house and mix some stuff with it.

The other issue is that I plan to run stuff totally organic which I know can be done. I just don't know about yields but I'd really like to produce something organic that looks nice. So far I'm been able to keep teas bubbled and available.

Daily issue.....I've got the munchies!

Bins of soil...... I started hempy to get away from them, but can't walk away from something as good as the kit. I was out shopping today and almost put money down for a bin with rollers. That'd have to be easier to move around. I decided to wait until I can get a stronger one than when caught my eye today.

When are you planning to get the mothers flipped? I'm surprised you haven't used something to get the youngsters closer to the light. I have all these different sized risers I grab for those creative moments when I get to play vcannabis Tetris. Lol!

And hey..... I'm glad to hear the shoulder's healing nicely and you were able to pamper yourself by washing your baby. That pain cream rocks! I call it healing cream. It does so much more than cut pain.

Everything is looking good Jim. I am curious about your Fast n Vast crosses.
I have grown Fast n Vast before and I liked the smoke a lot. The best auto that
I have smoked ( small sample there but take it as you will).

The plant got about 6 feet tall outside. I hope you get some great stuff there.

Cheers friend.

My experience with the Fast n Vast x Master Kush portion of this cross resulted in the male that gave me the pollen for my part in this pollen chucking adventure. I got the FVxMK seeds from a fellow grower and everything about the male gave me the impression that he was a photoperiod boy although I know those auto-flowering genes are in there. They could show up at any times. Maybe I should go back and look at some of the pictures from that grow.

Anyway, since I had that pollen I painted a bud on the Panama green pheno and resulted in these seeds. So there really wasn't any planning that went into that pollen chucking breeding adventure.

I made a rather long to do list this morning which includes taking cuts from the biggest 2 today or tomorrow. So maybe I can start sexing things soon.

Thanks for the information on your experience with the FV. That kind of information is always helpful. :high-five:

Your Devil's Carnival looks great Jim

Thanks. She's going to get a little boost soon from some seabird and bat poop.

No love for soil???

MJ plants are coming along nicely... mothers always make it to flower in my world. Just take cuts of the mothers then flower them... mothers are a lot of work.

I have a few now... they get droopy... sad and lonely. I like to perk them up with less light! hahahaha it works.

Thanks Bob...Yep mine are droopy and sad. There are gaps in my log book (or I couldn't interpret what I wrote) so I might have just under-watered them. I may try the less light approach and see what happens. Taking those cuts are on my task list. I am quite the lazy gardener at times.

I made it through the weekend without doing much work in the tent which is probably the way it should be. It's below normal temperatures here again. Uneaten dry cat food that I put out this morning for Shady Grady now has freezer burn after a couple of hours. Snow expected mid week. MagicJim is so looking forward to warmer days. This too will pass. :bongrip:

The moms had gone without water for six days and were thirsty droopy so they were watered 2 days ago. I'm going to take my cuts today, clean them up a bit and throw them into flower.

I did manage to get the 4 x 4 tent cleaned recently. Devil's Carnival did get some bird dung tea and appears now to need some cal mag. Ultra Dawg #1 has some rusty margins of the bottom fans and I'll try to diagnose that. I'm really not good at diagnosis. Right now I'm considering cold temperature as I've noticed recent tent lows of 59 F. This measurement is at mid tent height probably 16 to 18 inches above the floor. I'm not sure plants operate at full potential with those conditions. I get this feeling that all is well just temps slowing them down a bit.

Have a great day folks. I put a pot of Black-eyed peas on. I'm seasoning with onion, salt, pepper and a Dan Doodle.
Also known as Tom Thumbs, Dan Doodles are ground pork sausages that are stuffed in the large intestines of pigs and smoked for a day in a billow of hickory until they shade toward mahogany. (Conjure a link with the girth of a bologna stick, fragrant with sage, spiked with red pepper, perfumed by a pleasant barnyard funk.) In addition to using them like ham hocks to season a pot of vegetables, cooks here also slice and fry Dan Doodles for breakfast.

Yummmy. Have a great day folks.

Devil's Carnival. I didn't expect an auto so I'm behind the nutrient curve here. Also, I've never run a topped auto before. This one gives me the impression that she will be dwarf.

Ultra Dawg #1 cut. Waiting on some roots. Maybe I should not have taken her humidity bag off.

IMG_542511.JPG

I've not had much in the way of pests so I wanted to try something here that I've read about somewhere. I'm going to keep a little pot of Chives in the tents to ward off mites or other nasty things. It would be hard to say it doesn't work unless I try it. I've just read too many sad stories about russet and spider mites.

Looking good there MJ, I think your timing is perfect, blue moon this month. Plants look fantastic. The mothers are going to thank you in a few days!

Dan Doodles... thats a Piedmont or Coastal NC thing, eh? Never herd of em... Ham Hocks.... eat them all the time. Get em smoked from our local organic farm. Nothing better ....

UD #1 looks like having phosphorus problems. I never encountered it, but it's the root for sure, which means it can be rootbound. They like to expand root system quickly after topped and they also like bigger pots, so I'd consider upcanning it ASAP.

Well this will let me find this journal again, I am now off to the beginning to read through it.

Glad you could find your way back. If you have questions just let me know.

I thought about the roots this morning and I'll give her something bigger. She's the odd one of the three. The other two show similar characteristics. #1 had a little ruffling of the leaves similar to crepe paper. Leaves on #2 and #3 are smoother at this point although #2 has an abnormal leaf at the second node and has since self corrected. I love watching them.

Thanks for the much needed information. :passitleft: :bongrip:

Best wishes for resolving any shipping issues.
