What's In Jim's Grow Room?

Welcome aboard Cannabeard. I'm liking it so far. I got interested reading this thread: Magnus8's Canna Cream - Body Butter - & Canna Lotion Study Hall

I'm only up to page 15 or so and I decided to read other web sites for recipes. The recipe I used seemed simple and straight-forward and had a few years of comments after people have made the cream. I was not made using cannabis infused oil. Just people making a cream with various carrier and essential oils.

I've read that there are better oils such as Pumpkin Seed and Apricot Kernel. I'm slightly impulsive at times and have already ordered some of these as they are oils which are absorbed by the skin a bit better. Let me know if you have questions.
Nice, my gf is alergic to grapeseed oil So I was wondering what substitutes would be the best. I'll definitely swing by and give Magnus's thread as well!

Great news today. My buddy in Wilmington who has COPD got the call Wednesday afternoon that donor lungs were available. Thursday he got the call to show up for surgery. His wife let me know around 5 pm yesterday that he went into surgery and let me know after 2 am this morning that he did ok. He was awake at 10 this morning and tube removed. Don't know what kind of tube but he was to start walking today. Still a long road to travel but signs are good.

My oldest cat stayed inside with me for 5 days until 2 days ago when it snowed and I've not seen her since. I tracked the foot steps she left in the snow but saw no signs of her. She did this once before in the snow and ice a few years ago. I have to believe she's ok. I've seen only one of the two cats I feed. I worry about my babies when the weather is nasty but they always seem to surprise me.

My mail man had chains on the truck and delivered my Apricot and Pumpkin oil. We got 4 1/2 inches here. I'm not interested in snow.

Plants are doing well. I love to watch them grow at this phase of their lives.

Cuts of the DC Auto I took when I topped this thing. I didn't occur to me at that time that this would grow out auto.

Have a great day folks. Chemdawg in my bowl today so I'm good. :bongrip:

Pain cream is working well on my shoulder although I'm putting all over after my shower.

Edit: Tent RH went to around 37% Thursday so I added a humidifier. I have it now running upper 40%.

It warmed my heart to read that the cream is working and that you got impulsive. :battingeyelashes:

And, I'm thankful the kitten returned. It always drove me crazy when our cat did that. We got more deep freeze than snow. Our snow from the past week hasn't had a chance to melt yet.

Labyrinth, I'm calling it now. She's gonna end up the star of this class. Something about her stopped me in my tracks as I strolled through the garden with you.

Glad the creams working for you Jim.. snow sounds cold.. how does the 105 we got today sound to you? Hooe your friend makes a full and quick recovery.. :passitleft:

The plants are looking great and starting to show their different personalities.

Thanks for posting about the pain cream. I hope to make some soon also.

It's easy. If I can help in any way just let me know.

You may have it right. I had my wake n bake of Blue Dream in front of the tent thinking about which of those that I up canned recently had the best structure and trying to imagine what they might look like in a few weeks. Of course I'll be topping everything which will change things. The Fast n Vast x Master Kush x Panama has plenty of potential but Labyrinth has my attention.

My cat didn't stay long. I guess she wants to experience these cold temperatures that we normally don't get. I'm satisfied she ate well and re-hydrated. That's what I get so concerned about. The impulsively purchased oil arrived but I haven't tested a drop yet.

Hey Grizz....I miss hot weather...really do. Haven't gotten an update on my buddy so I've always considered that no news is good news. Your thoughtful comment warms me heart.

Hey there MJ... Nice little line up you have going there. Hoping and wishing you have a bountiful harvest, and many many more to come.

The little 3 legged one looks pretty cool. I saw BL's plant grow, turned epic so that one should be a winner for sure.

Gonna grab a seat.;)

Welcome Dusty...good to have you along.

High Bob...yeah the wild little trey. I gave some thought to giving a name to this breed rather than typing Fast n Vast x Master Kush x Panama or FVxMKxPam. My first thought was to name it FX and be done with it. It would probably help to know how it smokes before I go naming things. What happens when all the crazy genetic mixtures goes hay wire? At this point I'll just grow it and see.

Thanks to all for stopping by. Looking forward to a warm up here. I've seen enough of this record breaking cold. Brrrrr

Good Show MJ!
Makes me happy you taking care of your cats with this weather.
I am going south for a week tomorrow, i95 here I come! :surf:

If this forest wasn't behind me I could hit I95 with a driver and six iron. My oldest has spent most of her time inside for the past 3 days. I worried a bit about one that I feed. He hasn't shown up yet this morning. We have a warm up coming. Surely the weather folks wouldn't lie about that.

Girls are still green and growing even with reduced temperature and humidity. Tent doesn't get much higher than 70o F with about 42% RH tops. I've been so lazy that I even watched 2 American football games yesterday. New Orleans are impressive. That's all I remember about that. Referees let the teams play.

On with the update. Since I've basically got the foot print of the tent filled I'm considering doing something different with the mother/clones. We'll see. I may just take a Blue Dream and a Pakistan Valley and put them in bloom here soon in the other tent. I expect my electricity bill to be a little high next month due to this weather.

Somehow I started this year without a new wall calendar. Also forgot to upload one pic but :bongrip:

Devil's Carnival cuts

IMG_53507.JPG

Since the DC turned out to be auto flowering I'm not sure if these DC cuts are going to work. It sure looks like they might be rooting. I have the top in a rock wool cube in a cloning bag that I haven't looked at yet. These cuts were taken 8 days ago.

Anyway...Have a great day folks. I'll get out of this house at some point today.

I'll be interested in seeing what those DC cuttings do. They do appear to be rooting, so you might get something out of them in the end. I'm getting ready to try a group of them as solo cups, to see what I can get from that type of container off to the side. I figure I use these excellent nutrients, and Weaselcracker once did a POTM in a solo cup, so why not give it a go?

In truth, it's because once they root I feel compelled to at least give them a chance, right? :battingeyelashes:

Your PVs are so colorful Jim. A sweet side effect of the winter chill?

:rofl: I think your got some time to run out and get a calendar.. you know, the longer you wait the cheaper they become :passitleft:

I blasted by about 6 hours ago, temps were in the 40s. Still see snow on the ground in SC. i needed to get going before the rain and ice started in the state to your north, I was very very happy to put va behind me. my poor plants stuck in a tent under the window, gets cold. I have moved it away from the wall, trying everything I can think of. It gets left alone for this week, that is probably the biggest help.

Forecast is mid 60s where I am going tomorrow, wish I could send it to my tent ; - )
( it would be warmer with the lights on ) I think my root zone is cold. I am thinking a seedling pad? I dunno? thinking outloud....

I hope your boy cat comes back as a 'legend and hero' for some food.:Namaste:

Thanks Jim warms my heart you feeding him like that. Something I would do too. Cheers!

They have maintained that color but I feel those leaves are not as productive as they should be. I used the 4 x 4 tent to make AACT recently so now I have to clean it. I'm planning to take some new clones from these and then flower them I guess. I need some weed that will stimulate me to do some work. It's warming up here with about half of the snow gone.

I went to my favorite country grocery yesterday and picked up 2. They were free.

Looking good M.J.
Are those potatoes in with that cut?
I know potatoes can make a rose stem take root.
How far you hit your driver. Man I haven rolled the rock in some time now.

Hi Dusty

No not potatoes in there. What you might be seeing is the rooting powder residue. Those two little cuts didn't look so good this morning but one never knows with these plants.

Used to be able to bust it large every now and then but now probably around 180 to 200 yards. I haven't played much since 2006 or so and not sure if my shoulders will let me even swing now. Just an average golfer with lowest handicap of 9 way back in the early 1990s. I shot 1 sub par round back in 1989 and had my hole in one in 1990. I think that was my peak. Used Nicklaus' grip since I was 12.

Here's an interesting story. My High School never had a golf team until my senior year. Five of us formed a team that year with our crazy Biology teacher as coach and won the regular season for our district. Finished second in the tournament. Was fun.

Lots of memories. I miss the walk.

It was warmer here at midnight than its been in over a week. :laughtwo: Our snow's melting as I type. Today looks to be the day I'll finally get the stairwells mopped. Didn't make sense to do so when it was mucky and everyone'd be tracking in salt.

You need some DDA on hand Jim. A great motivator. :battingeyelashes:

Shoulders and golf don't mix well.. I was looking forward to my golf life after footy. Until I popped my ac joints in my last year, hahaha last game actually  lawn bowls is now my game.. not sure if it's played over there.. an oldies game but the young ones are the better players.. the beauty of it is its run by pensioners, smoke while playing and the beer prices are from 1983, no exercise required and a game a skill. It really is a tick in every box :passitleft: you only need to wait a week for a freebie. They'd still be half price in Australia around November :rofl:
