What's In Jim's Grow Room?

I thought about the roots this morning and I'll give her something bigger. She's the odd one of the three. The other two show similar characteristics. #1 had a little ruffling of the leaves similar to crepe paper. Leaves on #2 and #3 are smoother at this point although #2 has an abnormal leaf at the second node and has since self corrected. I love watching them.

Just watch what's happening, but it looks like it's gonna grow out of it. UDs also like higher Ca/Mg ratio and living soil, but I'd say the other two are doing good. Some phenos indeed show mutations on second or third node, it's what this strain took from OG Kush.

There were quite a few tops cut yesterday for clones. The Blue Dream and Pakistan Valley moms went into the 4 x 4 tent and their light hours were adjusted to 12/12.

Cuts were also taken UD #2 and #3. Two Fast n Vast x Master Kush x Panama (FVxMKxPam) seedlings were topped for clones and added to all the others in a plastic thingy with a sheet of plastic wrap over it as a humidity dome. I'm not certain how well that's going to work as the wrap is fairly loose and doesn't stick to that plastic. Maybe I'll smear on a bit of oil.

Salutations,

I am humbly inviting you to participate in an advanced cannabis photographers thread. I would like you to be a contributor and supporter of this thread if it interests you. All it requires is to submit a brief bio, quoting the second post, and helping out when you can or sharing information from time to time.

I've been learning stuff about photography and post production of said photos. I also hurt my shoulder again early this morning, it's fvcking snowing and I'm pretty high. I took my BD capsule very late in the day ....woo hoo

Anyway....chopped the top from Labyrinth but I wanted to show the before picture here. First one is straight from camera. Second and third modified slightly in post production...

OK....I've got to ice my shoulder now. :cco:

Looking good there MJ... it's going to get busy in the flower tent soon. Prolly a good time to top the little ones, will give you a little breathing room to flower out those mothers.

Soon its going to be flower heaven... woohoo

High Bob...thanks for the comments. I think all but 3 of the little ones are topped now. Those are a little slower as they had to be separated after germination. My desire to save everything green. The one plant which exhibited whorled phyllotaxy has now straightened itself and growing normally.

The moms in the flower tent got trimmed this morning and got a gallon of half strength bubbled compost tea this morning. I'm not sure how this will turn out as they didn't get any training or trimming in veg. We'll see how the natural growth does as I did manage to clean the internal junk today.

Just an assortment of pictures

Have a great day folks. We got a little over 2 inches of snow. Pretty stuff out there this morning.

High MJ,
:passitleft:
We got some snow yesterday and the roads were like a skating rink.
Went out to get a couple of bags of ice to make some bubble
Saw a couple folks wipe out during my trip.:bitingnails:
Crazy

This is the second nice day in a row here and I think all the snow is gone. Now people can just run into each other without an excuse. My plants are just growing along. I was going to check how old they are but didn't.

I got involved with some photography but I'm now convinced to leave well enough alone. I did find the editing useful and I'm sure I'll try to improve my photos but all I ever attempted to do was document the grow in pictures.

Have a great day folks.

Looking good Jim. Pretty much an all star cast of cannabis strains looking happy. Devils Carnival is creeping onto my list of must try, everyone loves it, and the colours folks bring out of it are crazy.

How long do you keep your moms? Do they need anything nutrient wise after a while?

Your photos and documentation are great Jim. No question. Don't change a thing.

I love your cloner Jim, you really have a green thumb, but you love blue dream so much that I will say blue thumb. Your girls are beautiful. I just wanted to stop by and share the love. :)

I made a specific test of my recent Blue Dream S1 harvest this morning. It was a good head but only lasted a couple of hours. Buds in the jar just smell sweet but not too sweet. No woodsy or pine or anything in the way of terpenes. This wasn't my best grow  So I want to keep the genetics of the parent as I know she's the real deal or rather a real close replica  I keep searching and keep going back to my jar of Chem Dawg.

I'm so hoping this cloning process is working. If it doesn't I may have screwed the pooch. Thanks for stopping by Lady G. Sharing love is what brings out the best in us.

Thanks UA. I wish the DC had been a photoperiod girl but at least I'll get to taste some of these Carnival genetics that Sweet Sue raves about. I'll pick up the photography work again. I just can't seem to shoot under the LEDs and achieve something without a bunch of post production. So I went back to shooting jpeg under CFLs. I'll find a balance somehow.

You have some lovely colors going in you miniature DC Jim. That pink in the middle is a new look to me. There's nothing stable about this chemovar yet. :laughtwo: Bet you love the flavors. The one I just harvested smells slightly sweeter than the predecessors. So intriguing.

Stop hurting that shoulder. :kisstwo: Last year it cost you time on the road in your spiffy auto. I've been hitting mine with the pain cream.

I started early this morning harvesting the Blue Dream S1 seed girl. I'll never grow another one that doesn't get topped. Top colas were nice and full but down lower became a bit wispy. Anyway...She's now in the barn and I'll concentrate on growing the other two. Yet I believe Pakistan Valley and Blue Dream clone will be down soon.

Top cola. That's a 13 inch pan.

In the barn. There's about 2 oz, perhaps more.

UD #2 above the soil line. Is she albino? I might have to give her something to green her up. Always something odd going on in these tents.

Beautiful day here. Expected around 69 F today so I'm going to get a shower and wash Black Betty and get me some wind therapy and then some lunch. Cheers all.
Amazing job jim sorry I have been absent a lot is stuff going on I have a lot to read up on now . . . ps that blue dream looks like fire

Blue Dreams and Pakistan Valley - Flip + 80

These pictures were taken yesterday. They look a day riper today. Fragrance is pine/melon/berry with something similar to sandalwood. It's just sweet and I feel that all that extra care will be necessary for a good dry and cure process. I'm up to the challenge. Heck, I even ordered a new trimmer. I've been wanting some curved tip blades and I think these are going to be helpful.

Blue Dream from S1 Seed What was earlier a nice looking tree is now a fairly ugly looking plant. Branches are holding up nicely supported by yarn tied to the stakes. She's gonna be heavy but would definitely yield better with topping and trimming.

She's a little blessing Sue. She's going to get a malt barley tea with bat and seabird guano. I really am attempting an organic grow and she's behind the 8-ball on nutrients and yield expectations are low. I'm good with that. I'm imagining smoking her pretty buds already.

I finally got around to testing the produce from that Blue Dream. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised when you grow out those beans. I hope all is getting better.

I took the top off of Ultra Dawg #1 on Dec. 27 2017 and she finally showed roots penetrating her rock wool home today. She got a new 1 gallon home this morning. 27 days to root but there appears to be a bunch of them. This was another of those tests of my patience.

UD #1.1

IMG_546111.JPG

She's suffering a bit of yellowing of those leaves which haven't had any nutrients for those 27 days. They'll pretty up once those roots grip that mix.

IMG_546816.JPG

Labyrinth got a 2 gallon softie final home. At some point that bloom tent will be crowded so I bought a bunch of these softies.

IMG_547912.JPG

Wow...now everything I have has had a cut taken from it so hopefully I can duplicate anything that I find appealing. I really do love my Chem Dawg so much and I have no more of those seeds. I do have a quart jar of those cured buds. I'm truly hoping that one of those UDs will be of the Chem Dawg's quality. Odd thing is that I can tell my tolerance is greater so I'll add more variety into my diet. Lot of options.

Have a great day folks.

Mornin MJ,
:passitleft:
I am so rooting for the UD 1.1
I bet she surprises when she latches into the soil!
Have a great day MJ.
Please take care of that shoulder. ;)
