Weenmeoff's Inside Soil Alien Abduction Grow Journal

Thanks Krip and Dirt! Bummed I made the mistake but happy it was with the clones and not the George's!

I flushed the clones. Red hairs are increasing and receding and the trichomes are turning amber, it's only a matter of time. Can't wait to see the George's flower!

Evening Canna!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Rock on!

So the budding clones have started their 48 hour dark period today at 7.i don't expect much but am glad i flowered them.

I topped my seedlings 3 weeks ago and the splits are coming along nicely. Can I top or FIM again this soon?

How they look now.

What about lights out? I have a window AC providing cold air, intake duct hooked to the front of it, but it's off during lights out because it was getting to cold. I'm probably on the high end during lights on, I can lower the temp of the AC and try to hit the sweet spot....

For lights out they normally only get down to about 67-68 in the summer. But these are where mine are at, other growers I'm sure will have other temp sweet spots.

Topped seedlings and did one FIM. I'm gonna need to transplant them soon. They were up canned from the solo cups to the coco pots which are probably about 1/2 gallon. I have plenty of 1 gallon plastic pots and 10 gallon fabric pots. Should I go get some 3 gallon fabric? Suggestions about what size to go to next?

I'm chopping my 3 clones tonight. can I use my well water that is between 200-300 ppm or should I use spring water? I'd prefer to save the spring water for watering.

You can use the well water on the plants you're harvesting...no need to worry about lockout! ;)

Budding clones have been chopped, washed (used pigeons tutorial) and are hanging in my Krip style drying box.

Seedlings and 1 clone (#2) were transplanted into #3's, clone in a #2 and are in the dog cage. Clones I took about 10 days ago are still under the CFLs.

Gonna go check on the George's when lights go on at 9.

SCROG question, so I'll be tucking and weaving into flower but is there a point when I will stop tucking and weaving and let them go?

Rock on!

Congrat's, Brother! I've never done a SCROG but my understanding is that you want to continue weaving until the end of stretch, so it's somewhat strain dependent, but probably 3-4 weeks.

Thanks Krip! :passitleft:

Can I use the soil from the plants I just chopped and if so, any special instructions?

Pics of the massive yield from my chop yesterday and how the clones look after about 10-11 days since taken.

Temps is pretty steady at around 72 and humidity in the 40-50 range.

You can re-use soil BUT, remember, you just took plants all the way through flower in some relatively small containers of soil. Then, at then end, you probably flushed a bunch of water, and, it's a good bet that the soil has been depleted of most of the nutrients. So, I would "regenerate" that soil before just planting in.

Next obvious question is how to regenerate the soil, and I'd really urge you to take the advice of some of the soil growers, but since I grow fruits & veggies in soil, what I do is to simply empty the used soil into a wheelbarrow, then add some fresh compost, worm castings, rock dust, etc., mix it up, and (for me!) it's ready to go another round.

Need help again ASAP, I went into the garage this am and the breaker tripped, 1st time since I started this. The timers said around 6 o'clock and while I thought it was saying pm, that couldn't be because the lights would be out and they were on when I flipped the breaker back on at a bout 8:15.

Should I just leave the lights as is and have a new light schedule or advance timers to the actual time which would turn the lights out at 9am?
