Weenmeoff's Inside Soil Alien Abduction Grow Journal

Need help again ASAP, I went into the garage this am and the breaker tripped, 1st time since I started this. The timers said around 6 o'clock and while I thought it was saying pm, that couldn't be because the lights would be out and they were on when I flipped the breaker back on at a bout 8:15.

Should I just leave the lights as is and have a new light schedule or advance timers to the actual time which would turn the lights out at 9am?
Just keep things the way they were. I know some growers do some weird schedules for their plants. Something like 11 on, 4 off 7 on 2 off. It's not exactly what they do, but something like that. I can't remember the schedule. Either way, a little extra dark once shouldn't turn them, but just go back to how it was. Ok?

Shoot, you have nothing to worry about if they are in flower. A little more dark will be ok. Go back to whatever you were doing before the circuit breaker blew. You may want to look into taking some of the load off that breaker so it hopefully won't happen again.

You may have to reschedule the timer again to the right times so they go on and off when you need them to. Those timers can be a pain at times. But they save us from always being there for lights on/off.

Talk to Duggan about power issues. He's a sparky in the real world. Lol!

WMO, are those plants in veg or flower? What was the lights on/off time supposed to be if the breaker hadn't tripped? How long were the lights out?

BTW...you should be fine with the extra dark. I'd just go back on a regular schedule. It would have been much worse if they were in flower and suddenly did NOT get the dark period.

Technically, photo period plants do NOT flower due to light cycles - they flower due to DARK cycles. They need at LEAST 12 hours of consecutive dark to flower. It's the interrupting of the dark periods with light that can cause hermies.

Your vegging plants aren't going to start flowering with one day of extended dark.

So, either way, you'll be fine! :thumb:

Great, thanks again Canna! I already went ahead and turned the dehumidifier off and will consider bringing my dog cage veg cab inside.

Now I need specific brand recommendations on a camera I could put in there and monitor remotely, something secure and that would plug in so it wouldn't need to be charged and also I am not an electrician so would not be able to hard wire it or get an electrician, I have a friend but would not want him knowing about my grow. You guys and gals are the only ones that know....:;):

Morning Krip! The schedule for the flowering girls is 9am off 9pm on and the lights were out for about 2 hours 15 minutes. Per Cannas suggestions I set the timers back to normal schedule so lights are now out in the flower tent. The veg cab schedule is 11am off 5pm on and has also been returned to the regular schedule.

Nis would be a good person to ask about cameras. We have a few, but he takes care of the electronics dept. Lol!

OK, send him my way when he's available. No rush on this but I will be away for a few days next week so want to have something in place by then.

I may also need to get some of those watering globes so they don't get thirsty while I'm away, anyone have any successes or failures with them?

I'll send you a PM to what we have. Cheap, easy, and wireless minus the power cord. You only need WiFi and you can check it at anytime.

Another question, my budding clones were chopped 3 days ago and are almost dry, stalks snap, there is very little Bud so will not be able to fill up Mason jars, was hoping to keep them separate so I can know how each one smokes. Is it OK to leave a bunch of space in the jars or should I use smaller jars like olive jars of something similar?

Also, I have the boveda 62% packs, do they go in the jar right away or after some during time?

It's is ok to leave space in them. Just have to remember to "burp" the jars a couple times a day. As for using the boveda packs, you need to still let them dry as you would normally and then jar them with the boveda. They just make it so you don't have to burp the jars. We still do since we grab out of the 1 gallon jars daily to fill up our medtainers for what we will smoke for the day. If you didn't know they are reusable after they "dry" out. We have 6 of the large ones and 32 small ones. Not a single issue yet with them. :thumb:

When I chopped the plants and was cutting the fan leaves off, I accidentally cut off a couple small buds, quick dried them on the cable box in foil and the report from my GF is its really good, she took 3 or 4 hits and was super stoned for about an hour then "regular" stoned, head ache and back pains went away, not couch locked, had energy to do stuff. I'll try some that is curing now in the next couple days and do a report of my own. Cant wait to see what the George's produce!

Hey Dirt! Thanks! I remind myself of that as I'm tucking and weaving. I'm sure it's easier if you don't let your SCROG fill in as much as I did, a mistake I will not make again. You just have to start somewhere and then that spot opens up, one wants to go one way and the next goes the opposite way.

Here is how it looks this morning.

One of the spots showing pistils. This plant has a bunch while the other two only have a few.
