OK, thanks dirt! I will keep an eye on her. When ready I will start the 48 hour dark period at lights out. Does the dark space need to be ventilated?

It's crazy how different these 3 plants are: #1 is short and stocky with about 1/2 white/red hairs, #2 is tall and skinny with mostly white hairs and #3 is medium with all red hairs.

Since 2 clones didn't take I took 2 from each yesterday in hopes that at least one from each plant would make it.
 
It's tough to tell from the pics whether she's ready, but she's definitely getting close and I agree with Dirt, look to see if those buds keep swelling and, if possible, check trichomes. You do want your "drying" area to be ventilated to avoid mold & bud rot.

Not sure if im reading the trics right but im only seeing clear trics on the plant with all red hairs. I looked at multiple spots. Is it possible they will all finish at the same time regardless of the differential in amount of red hairs today?

It's possible, I never go by hairs darkening. My dark purple auto still has some white hairs on her and she's almost ready for the big chop lol
 
OK plant 3 has mostly cloudy trics with a few amber and very few clear. They also appear to be bending over instead of standing straight. I don't see this bulking up much more but advice will be heard. The bottom is bulkier than the top. A reminder, these were clones taken for sex ID and then turned to 11/13. Also, the leaves on this one are turning purple while the other two are turning yellow, do you think i have different strains?

Looking good! Can you get a clear pic of the top cola?

The pics of the lower buds may be deceiving. They look a little "fluffy" and maybe because they weren't getting as much light. I'm interested in what the top looks like.
 
There really isn't much of a cola at all, it's more like popcorn on top. Here a are a couple pics.

I did a Krip style DIY bud drying and 48 hour darkness box with ventilation. I repurposed a blower fan from a monitor heater that no longer works. 12000 btu AC box.


Carbon filter before I installed the fan. Will that keep out enough light or should I add some ducting?

I'm dying to,get my big girls flowering! They've been in veg for over 4 months. I have a week or so left to the budding clones and guess Ill wait until they're done but at the same time I could get a T5 set up for my seedlings and clones and then I could flip the George's.

Any suggestions? Also, any thoughts on budding clone 3, should she go in the dark box?

It's hard to give you advice since I'm still a novice and we have 2 completely different set ups. I wish I could lead the way for you. I admit I'm still in observatory mode. But I'm sending positive vibes the entire way. Just wanted to stop by and say hi...sooo Hi.:thanks:

Nice work on the DIY! +REPS! :welldone:

You'll be fine with it. The dry box does NOT need to be total darkness. Just to avoid direct light, which can degrade the THC. :Namaste:

Im probably going to throw #3 in the dark box for 48 hours tonight unless someone advises against it. I think she's ready. The other 2 have about a week left.

As soon as that happens and I have a place to veg the seedlings and clones then it's flip time for the George's. It's there anything I need to know? I want lights out to be during the hot part of the day but I do have a window AC providing cold air via the intake duct, lights out is currently from 12 to 6. Ideally 12/12 will be 9-9, is that cool? Or should I do 11/13 like I did with the clones?

Another question, they need water, last time I gave them water plus calmag and the time before was full strength nutes, the cycle says feed, water, water but I am considering doing a feed this time. Is that a bad idea considering I plan on flipping in a week?

That top cola looks a little "fluffy", too. All I can suggest is to sample it and, if you like it, chop her!

Sure, you can feed them a week before the flip.

Some people will start giving a "transition" dose of nutes around this time by going kind of "halfway" between veg nutes and bloom nutes. How that "halfway" manifests is dependent on the type of nutes, but many times it's just increasing the ratio of bloom but just not all the way to what's prescribed for week #1 of bloom.

Is it OK to flip 9am-9pm even though veg schedule is 12-6?

Thoughts on 12/12 vs 11/13?
