Weenmeoff's Inside Soil Alien Abduction Grow Journal

I removed the green soil and added a fan. The ones with green soil are in 3 gallon pots and still still seems a little moist and I watered 2 weeks ago. I think the added fan will help. I have the one clone in a2 gallon pot some water as of was dry with no green soil.

I don't currently have the time or ability to flush. I did give them about 4 gallons of water today and will follar spray them when lights go out.

Is this a seed forming?

Those little gems are calyxes. They are where the plant would be fertilized if it were pollinated. You have pistils coming out of them, right?

That is what I thought but I brought it up, actually in your thread and someone else said from flip. Either way, I can probably judge by the trics, 80/20 right? These were bag seed so i don't have breeder info. I can already see the buds filling in since back building.

So now 2 plants are showing yellow leaves. Was thinking of flipping soon, should I wait until they are doing better? Besides the yellow leaves, I think they look healthy.

The little ones went on the tent on Friday and saw some good growth already. The SCROGs are pretty much full with nowhere for them to go except outside the SCROG. Im starting to see amber trichs on the clones. Here are some pics, sorry about the purple ones.

Clones taken, wish me luck.

I have questions about flipping the George's.

The scrogs are filled in pretty good with about 5 or 6 tops around the outside that are 6-8 inches above the scrog, should I leave them as is or tie them down?

The budding clones are in the dog cage with about 3-5 weeks left til chop and they are on 11/13 instead of 12/12. I would like to move them in with the George's when I flip and would like the off period to be during the hot part of the day, say approximately 9am to 9pm or 10pm depending on what schedule is recommended. The budding clones currently turn dark at 9pm and lights on at 10am. Also, should I wait to flip until the cones I just took show roots?

Can I put the budding clones in with the George's with the new schedule or should I just wait until they are done? I can keep the new clones and seedlings under CFLs for the time being if needed.

As always, thanks to all of you for your help with my first grow!

Let me see if I can assist, but just getting caught up, so I need your help to verify a few things...

For the scrog, I would try to weave those taller branches back under the screen, if you can do it without breaking them. It looks like you still have open spots in the screen. If not, you can LST or supercrop, but you want the canopy on the scrog even and don't want the taller colas preventing you from lowering the lights far enough for the rest of the scrog.

I'm a little lost on the budding clones / Georges issue. :hmmmm:

If I understand correctly, BOTH are in flower now in different spaces, under different schedules (11/13 and 12/12 respectively), and both at different times of the day. You want to move them in together. Budding clones have a current lights on of 10:00am and you really want to make it 9:00pm or 10:00pm (for both the Budding Clones and Georges).

Is that right?

Assuming that's correct (and probably, even if it isn't! :cheesygrinsmiley: ), here are MY questions:

1) I assume the "budding clones" and "new clones" are different? If so, what is the light schedule on new clones? (I'm assuming they are in veg?)

2) What is the current lights-on time of the "Georges"?

3) Why are you concerned about waiting to flip? Are you trying to time it so new clones are ready when you harvest in 3-5 weeks?

Thanks for stopping by MR. Krip and for your advice! :thanks:

The George's are the 1st 3 plants I planted which were bag seed so I needed to clone for sex. Those clones are in my dog cage space under a Mars hydro led on 11/13 and doing well, a little over 6 weeks since flip, just starting to see amber trichs. The George's (names are Georgia, Georgeann and Georgina because I added some of my GFs fathers ashes to the plants and his name was George. I have no problem waiting to flip them but I started them in early April so I was thinking I should flip them soon, I can wait a few weeks.

George's are on 18/6, dark at noon and back on at 6pm.

I took the new clones today so I can veg them and keep the alien abduction line going, since all 3 are females.

I actually put the seedlings in the tent in the corner under another Mars hydro led and there is also a 600w MH on the other side of the tent. They are about 18-24 inches below the light but I can put them back in the closet with the new clones under the cfl and keep them close. Is that what you would advise?

As for the George's scrogs, one of them has space but the other two are pretty full. I will try to weave them back tomorrow.

OK, so you can veg the plants indefinitely as long as they're NOT autos and they get 18+ hours of light. The light in veg doesn't need to be powerful, it just needs to stay on so they don't start to flower. In fact, there's a video in my journal of some greenhouse growers that use low watt lights at night time (just to keep the plants from flowering) so they can veg their plants longer.

The more powerful light will give you more rapid growth, so you can decide if you want them under CFL or LED's, just make sure it's 18+ hours, or something like the "Gas Lantern Routine (GLR) to keep them from going into flower.

Also, keep in mind, they will double or triple in size once you put them in flower, so you need to control the growth in veg based on your available space in flower.

Side note: I've had mom's under GLR that, after a year or so, started to flower under GLR, so I don't recommend GLR for LONG term veg.

I hope that helps and let me know if any other ???'s!

:Namaste:

Should I put the seedlings back under cfl as opposed to in the tent under led? My tent is 4X4 and almost 8 feet tall so plenty of room for the flower growth. Are they going to grow up above the scrogs by 2-3 times its height when I do flip?

Thanks Krip! Reps+ for you!

Ah ha!!!! I think I finally understand your question/concern?

Are you worried about the seedlings not being able to veg under the screen and then getting too big to get under there later? Like I said earlier, you can veg under either the LED or CFL, you'll just get more rapid growth with the LED's (with any half-decent LED!). If you're worried about being able to move them under the screen later, it's a great opportunity to practice up on your LST & supercropping! :cheesygrinsmiley:

The plant will double or triple in overall size. Assuming it's a 2' plant with only 4" above the screen and it doubles in size, the 2" becomes 4" and all the extra (noteworthy) growth is ABOVE the screen. So, you now have a 4" plant with 2'4" above the screen. Some nice colas!!! :yummy:

Not really concerned about the the seedlings under the scrog as my plan is to move them to the dog cage to veg once I flip the tent. Is it ok the seedlings are in the tent with the led and MH, in the corner but below the lights by about 18 inches or will they stretch? I put them in there on Friday and growth has been good.

Another question, should I put the new clones in the tent or keep them in the closet under the cfl? In the closet I can keep a close eye on them and open up humidity domes a couple few times a day and spray the dome but if the tent and led MH lights would be better then I will keep an eye on them/visit a few times per day.

Looking forward to flowering the George's, the smell of the budding clones is fantastic, very fruity.
