Weenmeoff's Inside Soil Alien Abduction Grow Journal

Donna seems OK but her stem just above the soil is thinner that the rest of the stem. This was the same for Hillary but worse, so much so that she was bent over then died but she was in the box in the closet and I was away so may have also over heated.

I guess time will tell with my remaining seedling Donna but I am wondering if I can put her in with the big plants under 1 600w MH and one LED.....?
When the stem right above the soil looks pinched it means the seedling is dampening off from fungal infection. I have saved two seedlings from this with an aeroponic cloner. I cut the stem right above the pinch by 1/4" and then insert it into my cloner. The seedling continues to grow and roots in about a week. If you don't have an aerocloner you can try propping her up as nismo suggested but the pinch of dampening off has always been a death sentence for me until I used the cloner.

Thanks Shig! Donna is doing well and Bernice 2 and Hillary 2 are poking their heads out.

Hi, ween, sorry it took so long to get over here. Great journal; I already picked up a few tips!

Hi MP! Thanks for stopping by and glad you got some tips!

And a big looking good ween.

Good to see you señor McGert!

How's it going ween? The girls are looking good!

Thanks as always Canna! It's going well here, enjoying some fresh mountain air. Hope you and Nis are having a fun and relaxing holiday weekend!

Back up to 3 seedlings again, ya! I was also going to take a clone from one of the George's. Each George clone is significantly different, one is tall and lanky with the smallest buds so far, one is in the middle and one is short and stocky so I'm thinking I should take the clone from that one (not the clone but the plant it came from.) does that sound like a good plan or might the tall one grow bigger?

If you have the room, I'd take clones from each, it's difficult to reveg a clone. We had 1 of I think 4 flower clones survive. She's a weird looking little thing. Lol. It sounds to me like the tall one took on more of the sativa genetics and the short one sounds like more of a indica. The same strains can have a more dominant trait to it.

Interesting about the plants taking on dominant traits. I'll be taking the clones from the vegging George's. I'll take one from each and if I can't make room then I'll figure out what to do with the extras.

Was away for 5 days and came home to some bushy plants. Some of the growth is 6-8 inches above the scrogs, most of it is filled in with nowhere to put some of the taller growth. I'm thinking it may be time to flip soon.

Did the back build for the clones which also filled in rather well. Here is the short stocky one.

Seedlings are moving along pretty well. Thinking of taking the clones soon which will leave me with 3 alien abductions, 1 money maker, 1 carnival and 1 white widow X big bud. Will move the clones in with their mothers in the tent and the next gen in the dog cage space.

One of the plants has some yellowing leaves and some healthy green leaves, not sure if you can see it in the pic. Any suggestions on remedies? They all got about a gallon of full strength nutes 6 days ago.

Thanks Dirt! Yes the first pic. This plant has had some yellowing on and off since she started filling in. Most of the plant looks healthy. Was not looking forward to my first flush since there is no drain in my garage. You think it's ok to give her some time to see if she improves?

Seedlings have been on 24/0. Should I give them some dark?

Will do. I'll figure something out if the flush is needed. Problem is I have a detached garage so will set up some kind of drain. They're in 7 gallon smart pots, so do I need to flush 21 gallons through?

Think I will give the seedlings some rest, 20/4 sounds good. Thanks again Dirt!

The good news is the seedlings are chugging along. The bad news is that the top of the soil in 2 of the clones have an area that is green. It's been a coup,e weeks since they were watered.

Thoughts, suggestions? Should I remove the effected soil?

Donna is just getting her third set of true leaves, when should I take her first top?
