Volksball's First Grow: White Widow Feminized Grow Journal 2018

The way your explaining the relationship between buffers and peat is making me think about soil different. Any recommendations at this point for volksball and myself?
Water properly, at the correct pH and know that most of us supplement with additional cal/mag. White Widow especially is known as a nute hog... she will take just about whatever you can get into her and will reward you for the effort.

Something to look forward to. @SeedsMan white widow

Now that I can get on board for! Nice work! There just seems to be a long, but enjoyable road between now and then.

I picked up some Cal-Mag from my local greenhouse. $13/qt. I will resist rewatering for as badly as I'd like to to correct a problem instantly. It will likely only create a new one.

I think, for the sake of the plants, I may flush them out with nute-rich, CalMag infused and pH corrected water on the next watering with some significant run off. I have always done as Emilya suggested and avoided too much run off, but it maybe a time to move the salts through, as shes also suggested doing with peat-based media. I avoided the lime topping as I have read of the magnesium issues it may cause in addition to it being a CalMg compound, itself.

If the problem worsens in the next day or two, should I water early? Or stick to the plan?

Oh, and I got some garden pegs as discussed earlier to train dom. branches horizontally.

Thx everyone for all the help.

if you do use this as justification to water early this time, we all understand. Make certain if you do though to let it dry completely afterwards, since those lower roots will not have seen air for a while again. Things should be fine as long as you are aware of the danger.

I suppose the question becomes which is the worse evil? Nute deficiency? Or overwatering? Since I watered yesterday, will the added day make a great impact on root health? Or will the next 4ish days of nute deficiency progression prove more harmful? I dont expect you have all the answers, but likely alot more than I do.

Thanks.

if your roots were still in trouble, i would say drying out is the more important consideration, but since that is in check right now, the deficiency rises to the top of the priority list. I would water again, just to runoff with a full dose of calmag and then reset the clock and sit on your hands for 3 or 4 days until the plant uses it all... and then repeat the process. Give calmag every time for a while and lets get this situation under control. The dead spots will not come back, but you will know when the damaged leaves start to repair themselves as best they can.

I can relate to the WW as a nutrients hog it shows in hydro, you can watch it disappear!

Thx. In addition to the CalMag, treat the water as I normally would with nutes?

For journaling purposes...

I've completely flushed the soil with nute-rich, CalMag infused water, corrected to 6.5. The run off was not tested, but by the last cup full that was added, ran the same amount off, so I'd say that's a total flush.

I horizontally pegged down the new dominant branches and will continue to do so as they emerge. I imagine the next of couple days will be slowed growth as the soil is saturated and the plants will be quite upset with me.

On we go...

6.5 the window is half closed!

Well, the expectation is that if the soil is acidic, at least for the time being, the pH should be in a range, and likely less than 6.5. Also, with peat based media, it'll likely only get more acidic, rather than go the other way.

It's an imperfect procedure, I'm finding.

Got the shot it didn’t cover that strain they didn’t know it was in the area , went to town once four days earlier.
