Vapedogg223's Got a Brand New Bag! All Organic - High Brix -Nirvana Ice- 49 Plant SOG

Re: Vapedogg223's Got a Brand New Bag! All Organic, High Brix, Nirvana Ice, 49 Plant

I know this is rather subjective, and some people might read this and think I'm nuts, but I'm very "in tune" with my all my girls...and I can say that they do seem less stressed. Now...I know some of you are saying "he can't tell if his plants are stressed or not", but when you spend as much time training, pruning, super cropping, and generally stressing the bejusus out of them as I have, I think I can tell the difference...either that, or I'm really baked!

:allgood:

Also, I think it's safe to say I've decided I will be starting a journal just for the moms. I'm not sure exactly when I'll get it up...but it will be coming. :)

:thanks: for stopping by!

:Namaste:

I know what you mean about knowing when your plants are stressed. Sometimes I feel so in tune, that I just know what they need at a quick glance (or don't need). Not always, unfortunately, but much of the time. I can always tell when they're stressed or unhappy, even if it's slight. I can tell that YOUR plants aren't stressed a bit. They look pretty damn happy to me. Nice job! Diggin the mom cave.

True Sea of Green! Looks Like a damn forest brotha and you're just getting started :woohoo:

Great Job :thumb:

Forest for sure! They are definitely getting bigger than I had originally envisioned!

MY friend, I can't tell you how much I enjoyed your whole description of all you do to get your girls to look and grow like they are.The how and why was text book. Loved the roots shoving their way through the holes in the AirPots.
If you are not one of the most complete Growers on our beloved 420, I don't know who is. Thank You Brother!
:Namaste:

:thanks: brah! That means a lot! :adore:

if its not your first job its certainly is your second job
props brotha.........

Job? Who's got time for a job? This is sort of my only real job... But I do have other stuff I do to try and make ends meet!

Top Notch Dogg..

:bravo:

Thanks bro! I hope you'll be back soon! :thumb:

Great update Vape! I sure hope you have some time to relax with that schedule of yours! Keep it up and I can't wait to watch how these ICE do for you. :thumb:

:peace:

Me too!

I'm done with my friend's house, and was able to relax a bit this weekend. I did spend a day on the chainsaw working on a downed maple tree in my yard, but it was a beautiful day, and I rather enjoyed it!

they are looking amazing and healthy, got me thinking organically,,,,hmm i do have lots of soil amendments,,actually i have 2 square 1 gallon pots im gonna keep mothers in...:morenutes::peace:

I love the way organics is making my plants grow...but the proof is in the pudding, so we'll have to wait and see how they finish...I do suspect I won't be disappointed though! :thumb:

I love watching your girls grow! And not to mention your whole set up is oh so glorious. Keep it up and you know ill be following closely. The plants I have in my mineralized 6/5/3/ seem to be a notch better and more advanced then the other ones that are in just regular soil. :Namaste:

:thanks: brother!

Did you happen to see Doc's last updates? He had some recommendations regarding soil energy and pot size...but if you keep a thriving micro herd I think you'll be very happy!

Very nice job on the SOG Vape!!! they all look so uniform and healthy!!!! also congrats on kicking some serious @ss on the MotM contest!! you deserve the win buddy!!! awesome journal!

Thanks bro! And :thanks: for the kind words! :adore: We'll have to wait and see how it turns out. There's some great members up this month, present company included, :) and a lot of votes still to come in!

Even got the Basil's chillen in air pots ! Looks like a happy healthy "mom cave" :)

Hell yeah! I'm equal opportunity around here! Everyone gets treated the same in my grow rooms.

Hey...now that I'm thinking about treating everyone the same, I wonder if I could make a bonsai basil plant? :hmmmm:

Thanks bro!

Err...actually, never mind...I probably am! :smokin: But I CAN tell when they're stressed or not! Thanks X!

Re: Vapedogg223's Got a Brand New Bag! All Organic, High Brix, Nirvana Ice, 49 Plant

Glad to see you're liking the GLR. Your mother plants are looking lovely, very lush green. On Friday you will get dense canopy.

Thanks Twelve! I'll be looking forward to that! Sounds like I'll be needing to cut them back before long...especially the Blueberrys. I'm even wondering how well those will work in my setup the way they stretch.

I need to decide on just how the journal will come together, but I think it will be cool! :thumb:

That's very true about being with them every day. I feel like the more time I spend in the garden the more I understand them!

Re: Vapedogg223's Got a Brand New Bag! All Organic, High Brix, Nirvana Ice, 49 Plant

I can totally picture it....

You describe everything so well...one of the things I really like about this journal!!!!!

The reps were well deserved :peace:

I'm subbed to about 10 journals but yours is my favorite right now

:bravo:

Some stories like OldMedMan tells wouldn't hurt though...lol

Seriously...keep up the good work...can't wait to see how it turns out.

Well :thanks: and :thanks: MsMe!

You're right about OMM's stories! He is a wonderful storyteller! Who knows...I might have a story or two one of these days. :)

Re: Vapedogg223's Got a Brand New Bag! All Organic, High Brix, Nirvana Ice, 49 Plant

Man couldnt said any better, yes vape not trying to sway your thread sorry bro learned the hard way my first time, but I think this info goes hand in hand, yeah some ppl may not believe it to be this way, but this is truth, and somehow nothing can sway me from what I have learn this week from this hi brix method, and to think wine has been done like this as early as 1800s I could be wrong, may be even earlier, but either way it comes down to the availability of knowledge, and you will see the more learn the more you get to dead end that lay at military, or governments doors, with a seens that they already know this stuff???? Humm... either way good stuff!!

No worries bro! I don't mind anyone discussing anything related to high Brix, organics, teas...whatever! We're all here to learn! And I agree with what you and Doc were saying. It scares me though when I see the stuff happening that Alex Jones was talking a bout years ago... It definitely seems like we are in the middle of a social engineering experiment that is about to fall apart...if enough people can push back that is...

love these threads, makes you happy someone out there is not in the fast lane drooling going 40mph !

Damn, I heard of sweet talking the ladies but dang bro you got some verbal game, what you wispering in their ears to fludder so sexy, wow nice group of ladies.

Hell I am getting their tho, thanks to the doc, and other like you, since I topped dressed a few sickly street walkin ladies with the dust, and already, noticing the new growth is way better, they look weird from a distance cus some leaves are half crispy and yellow, yes that bad, but they kinda look like dandy lions with a quick glace, lol.

:thanks: brother!

Just make sure your soil is teeming with life and you'll do well...don't skip the EWC tea...or better yet, Nature's Own...If you've got the minerals and the microbes the plants will recover very quickly!

I'll be waiting impatiently...

Also looking forward to your bonsai mom thread. I read the old thread and it will be nice to see it in practice.
It sure does look like it's working for you...those are some hot mammas you have!!:bravo:

Re: Vapedogg223's Got a Brand New Bag! All Organic, High Brix, Nirvana Ice, 49 Plant

It really is just organics...but where it's different is you have to really understand the importance of mineralizing the soil and the symbiotic relationship between the plants and the micro organisms in the soil.

What you can find locally is going to depend on where you live. Around me, the most common source is from Espoma. You can search Espoma Rock Phosphate, and it will come up at a bunch of sites. The one you are looking for has an NPK of 0-3-0. Most of the major garden centers around me carry it, but Home dePot and Lowes don't. You could also try an Ace, True Value, or Sears Hardware if you have them in your area.

The same company makes a Super Phosphate, 0-20-0 and a Triple Super Phosphate, 0-45-0. Please do not use those!

Be careful with the mulch...Although it will hold in the moisture, it can also use up a lot of nitrogen as it breaks down. I have used hydroton clay pellets for that purpose...it does the same thing without the decomposition. :thumb:

:Namaste:

Sorry for the time to respond, been reading, and getting more familiar with hi brix. And yeah almost made the mistake and bought the super phosphate, but been reading bout the high levels and affect on myco. Thanks for the info, I may have to go online, no garden centers worth anything around me. Oh and good, heads up on the mulch, and damn it if I didnt get the biggest bag of it too, couldnt pass it was 4 bucks, and works amazing for now, but I do understand the breaking down of it will start with those clay balls if thats what your talking bout. I also was reading up on some lava rock to do the same, it has some minerals too, but it can cause heat issues cuz it retains heat, so I am done poppin nanners over heat.

Oh I also came across a write up charcoal(not bbq kind) is a great souce of carbon, and micro life spose to love it, but havent found anyone carring it yet,may have to make my own. But holding off on any new things, as I am watching my ladies just dancing so happy since the top dress of the powders I do have.

Oh, for pakistan valley, shes smells of fruit juce, mixed with a grape smell if there is one, very smooth hits with the taste at exhale, and pretty much a seditive of a hi as you just melt in the couch, after some giggles. She is 100% indica, and got a batch going with hi brix, and let me tell you I can not wait til they are done, I already see beter growth, and fatter nugs at this pace, and they are already bigger than one 20 days ahead, man I can wait! lol thanks for the knowledge bro, been going down hill from the start!

Re: Vapedogg223's Got a Brand New Bag! All Organic, High Brix, Nirvana Ice, 49 Plant

Yeah thanks bro, I live in durka ville, and only one hydro store for couple hundred miles, and I dont feel safe going to the only water hole where lions(police) hunt, way better to spend the shipping.

Re: Vapedogg223's Got a Brand New Bag! All Organic, High Brix, Nirvana Ice, 49 Plant

im glad glr is working out for you, i think glr works well with older plants, because the last week i done a test with a batch of seeds, i put some seeds under 24-0 and some under 12-12 and some under glr, now all these where the same seeds from the same seed bank, they was all soaked and put in pots at the same time, i kept as much as i could the same, so the seeds where in the same size pots, was under the exact same light and at the same distance from the light, water and nutes where measured and all fed at the exact same time, now i soon found that the new plants under 24-0 grew lot quicker and ended up a whole set of leaves ahead of the 12-12 and the glr schedule, now the difference in the glr and 12-12 was very slight, the plants where the exact same height but leaf structure was slightly different, under glr the leaves looked the same as the 24-0, but the plants under 12-12 from seed had more rounded and fatter leaves where as the glr and 24-0 grew more thinner better shaped leaves.

so from what i can tell from seed 24-0 is the best method, now i have tried glr with a plant that had been vegged for about 4 weeks and at the 4th node in height, these plants seemds to love the glr method and grew a lot more than under 24-0, imo, so what i have found out in my oppinion from this is that new plants from seed grow more under 24-0, but i think glr method comes into its own when the plants are old enough to show sex, i say this because when you switch to 12-12 the plants need to mature before showing sex and entering the stretch stage, so i think that the glr method works best when plants can benefit from this extra growth during the 12-12 and giving it the extra hour in the 12 dark stops it from flowering, so from what i have found is that seeds do better under 24-0 than glr or 12-12 but this is only during the 1st few weeks, once the plants are a certain age i could see that glr comes into its own and the plants benefit from this.

my results where kept as even as possible during the test, i had the same watt and same bulb above each group of plants, kept at the same distance from the plants, temp and humidity was always the same, how ever under 24-0 the temp was constant but under 12-12 and glr the temp dropped during lights off so possibly keeping the temp the same day and night might improve growth during dark period.
i mixed the nutes into a big batch so all new plants got the same amount of feed, i measured each amount of water out and gave all plants the same.

its just something i wanted to try, but i didnt have the room to take the test any further with this grow, im hoping with my next grow to have 2 veg rooms and 1 flower room and ill be trying 24-0 and glr side by side from day 1,

how ever when i turned my 4 weeks plants to glr t

Re: Vapedogg223's Got a Brand New Bag! All Organic, High Brix, Nirvana Ice, 49 Plant

when i put my 4 weeks old plants under glr the growth took off and i kept them under that till i turned it to flower, thats where im at now on my journal, so i would say older plants benefit more from glr than newly sprouted seeds

Awesome info! :thanks: for sharing that! Definitely a very cool experiment...I would just say be careful about making conclusions as to which method is "best" without completing the test...I'm medicated, but I'll see if I can't explain what I mean.

We can only observe the plant's growth above the soil, so naturally, when the seedling in a 24 hour photoperiod grows faster we assume it's better...but what if the seedling under 12/12 or GRL is growing more slowly above ground, because it's focusing it's energy on root development? What if the seedling that was started under GLR later overtakes the other plants? Or, what if it stays smaller but yields the same or more bud? Like I said...I'm medicated, so at the moment I can think of scores of things that could happen later that might change your conclusion. :smokin:

I would also add, that if rapid growth was the the benchmark for what's best, then perhaps I'm wasting my time in soil...because hydroponics would clearly be "better"...but in actuality, the variables are almost limitless!
Did that make any sense? Like I said bro...awesome test, :thumb: and definitely some interesting results! Unfortunately, now I just want to learn more!

:Namaste:
