Re: Vapedogg223's Got a Brand New Bag! All Organic, High Brix, Nirvana Ice, 49 Plant
It really is just organics...but where it's different is you have to really understand the importance of mineralizing the soil and the symbiotic relationship between the plants and the micro organisms in the soil.
What you can find locally is going to depend on where you live. Around me, the most common source is from Espoma. You can search Espoma Rock Phosphate, and it will come up at a bunch of sites. The one you are looking for has an NPK of 0-3-0. Most of the major garden centers around me carry it, but Home dePot and Lowes don't. You could also try an Ace, True Value, or Sears Hardware if you have them in your area.
The same company makes a Super Phosphate, 0-20-0 and a Triple Super Phosphate, 0-45-0. Please do not use those!
Be careful with the mulch...Although it will hold in the moisture, it can also use up a lot of nitrogen as it breaks down. I have used hydroton clay pellets for that purpose...it does the same thing without the decomposition.
Hey bro, I am just like you, heard this hi brix from Icemud, and didnt understand, but now I do, and man, its basically organics to me, just info that is not understood as well, but now I do, so I am working on puttin up or shuttin up, all I really have to do is amend my soil with the rock, and top dress, and dial it all in for my size grow, my question is this though, I found my limestone, my gypsum, got some green sand, but for life of me can find th phosphate, and I dont want to get the wrong kind, so is there a common place that would have it as my lowes and the depot dont carry it? Thanks bro, and nice work! Also I would like to chim in on the living mulch you should give a try. I get organic hardwood no dies top dress bout 2 inch thick, the stuff is amazing for micro herd, its like super housing for them, it stays damp longer which means longer herd life, I was using 20 ounce cups in perpep sog they kept drying out to fast, ph spikes, and a nightmare, moved up to gal and started hi brix, since the change with mulch just awesome!
