Are you going to be growing everything on that list? Can you grow those Sativas outdoors before cold weather arrives? I’m going to be following closely for that. Especially love your Ace selection. CL🍀. :popcorn::high-five:

Intentions a 100% there to grow them outdoors, not in the wild for the mothers, if they look good I’m cloning and them throw them out to wild to do their thing.

I think I can this time around, I am aware of the diminishing light effect and that these genetics need 12-14 weeks of flower at a very specific photoperiod from 11-13 hrs of darkness. If everything goes as planned forced flowering by light deprivation is the only way to achieve this. I need to step up my game a lot and have a plan for them around end of July the flower hormones should be activated. Them keep them happy until mid November.

Now if I get a male I know I have the Durban gen pool that showed fast flowering times last year, that needs to go in the gen pool.

Your Ace line up got me excited so got me some Ace to make derivatives from that, at least that’s the plan.

Back to the transplant from yesterday;

PERSONAL SATIVA F1 X FILIPINO MALE
I love this plant it’s my personal work so put her on the spot light every time I can.
3 phenos, 1 has decent root development, great shape and energy outgrowing the other 2. This pheno is the keeper for now things could change. The traits are some what similar leaf pattern and Color almost same but growth isn’t. Choosing like this makes it easier.

DURBAN POISON X FILIPINO MALE
Another one I’m looking closely, I’m expecting a fast flowering time for these 2. They aren’t far from each other in pheno traits one slightly bigger than the other. Root development not bad but not impressive.

And that’s it for the transplant and pheno observation for now. I will have a last post in the same nature for their last repot scheduled near the end of this month. Could be earlier depending on the speed in which they grow.

Things are moving fine. Watered all with tea except the “sip” plant. The auto that is being trained now if she wasn’t healed she wouldn’t look the way she does, the split is still wide open but I can see that it’s not connective tissue and seems to start hardening up. Didn’t even need a tape to help the healing.

Training is good, pheno is looking great a hole in the stem isn’t a problem for a plant in good health. This is an example of the resilience behind the cannabis plant.

This is current Sun light in my area, calculation I have until June 21 to Veg and figure out who is going where, whats to be kept close to me and what to send elsewhere to continue to veg and flower. Cloning could be done around mid June. I also have other beans coming probably too late for a full grow but there is a chance that I can set up a grow tent for winter grow/experiment. Time flies so fast... off to the garden for morning inspection, water, and puff puff coffee mug in hand, 6:30am and I am soooooo happy I can literally take 20 steps and I am looking at my plants, so thankful to not be where I was last time I grew.

Ladies outside fine and dandy. No watering for “sip” plant only foliar feeding with mother tea, the training plant was watered and foliar.

Let’s break it down;
The inspection reveals wicking effect of the bottom of the layered pot seems to make a good moisture gradient, I might even think it’s too wet… not sure yet. No evidence for roots hitting the bottom. Tap roots are smart and they know the nice nutritious tea is down there she just gotta go and get it. The plant is not showing any signs of needing anything. The chamber showed condensation effect almost all of the surface and drops to the bottom of the pot… I really think the roots might just chase all this humidity all the way down. Time will tell.

The training pheno is heading for the sky again, time to remind her who is boss. I am waiting for it to reach the side of the pot so I can hold it down with a clip. The split in the stem is clean and I can see it started to swell. The genetics I’m not too impressed with seems like the leaves show some genetic defects anyway she healthy at least for that I will keep her and she grows fast. Very broad leaf indica dominant maybe could be mixed with the pink kush…not sure where I’m heading with this plant.

Btw I forgot to ask what strains did you get from Ace? CL🍀

Captain always welcome :passitleft:

What I am waiting from Ace specifically is

ACE Seeds Purple Haze x Malawi *Reg
ACE Seeds Honduras *Reg

Timing is wrong so probably I won’t be doing a full grow with these one as the take for ever to flower. I don’t know I gotta see besides I have to many already

Those are some awesome strains. I know that you make your own seeds but those are pretty expensive seeds if you don’t get a female. I’m sure whatever you decide it’s gonna be something I’ll be checking out. CL🍀

Looking for some new genes for your experiments?
If so which qualities of those two piqued your interest?

So that’s the dilema I have… if I pop 2 of each that’s a 50/50 chance of getting a female and that’s awesome, but hitting the jackpot if I get a male because I can then pollinate my current ones with that genetics making a very very interesting mix of sativas there.

Now my other option if viable with the landlord here; I set up a tent for winter and at the end of the grow season take clones from whatever is good keep them alive thru winter and make the seeds then.

and yes these seeds are expensive but they do it because you can have a male and once you get that male you can literally propagate the genetics and never buy those seeds again. Ideally I should pop them all and the chances are you get a male and female in the batch breed them (inbreeding because the seeds come from the same mom and dad in theory) and get a million seeds after.

I would also like to try mixing the Honduras with the Malawi X purple haze.

I grew the same Ace Malawi X haze back in 2019 in France never got to see it flower… yes it was guerilla grow I love it.

Yeah Mel I am, something tells me I may have another male with Duterte’s Nightmare so that could be cool to pollinate again the Personal Sat and the Durban… but I always wanted to grow the Malawi X Purple from Ace it’s my Everest… tried in the past but never got o see it flower it’s a real commitment to flower for 13-14 weeks.

So the qualities I’m looking for is almost undisturbed landrace linage because it has the most resistance to pest
(in my head landrace = inbred = outdoors = pest exposure = pest resistant).
I like the resistance to pest and/or biotic stress. Do not like the flowering time… not gonna happen in the 49th parallel we all saw that last year with my long flower Sativa phenos.

Then taking it from Aces online description;

Genetics2nd generation pure landrace sativa from Honduras.
StructurePure tropical sativa structure, tall, flexible, with strong branching and medium/tall node length.
BouquetFloral, citric, geranium, musk, woody and spicy.
HighClean, energetic, all in the head 'Feel good!' sativa effect of moderate strength and duration, without ceiling, tiredness in the body or hangover.
Terpene profileComplex and rich terpene profile. It mainly contains the following monoterpenes: very high amounts of terpinolene and high amounts of beta myrcene, with variability in the high alpha pinene content, followed by moderate quantities of trans ocimene and variability in the moderate content of beta pinene, and smaller amounts of cedrol, limonene, linalool, trans phytol, alfa phellandrene, alfa terpineol, alfa terpinene, gamma terpinene and squalene. Sesquiterpenes: high amounts of beta-caryophyllene, with variability in the presence of beta nerolidol, alpha humelene, trans nerolidol and guaiol in smaller quantities.
Growing TipsIt can be grown indoors with strong light intensity and with enough space for its development.
We recommend to switch her into flowering after 15 days from seed, or starting from clones rooted for at least 7 days. We recommend 11 (light)/13 (darkness) photoperiod for the flowering indoors, in order to boost the flowering, and to avoid reflowerings or excessive stretching in early flowering.

Very suitable for SOG crops due to its great yield in the main cola, or for SCROG, horizontal or network growing due to its excellent yield in the lateral branches and its vigorous reaction to pruning.

Outdoors, it is especially suitable for outdoor cultivation in tropical or subtropical climates, although it can be cultivated with very good results in warm coastal climates of mild autumn (similar to the Mediterranean) up to latitudes close to 43º.

We recommend soft NPK levels during the growing stage, increasing PK from 3rd week of flowering.
When Honduras is properly grown, the yield is very high, both indoors and outdoors.
Genetic analyses show that Honduras has a unique and rare genotype of moderate genetic variability. Interesting sativa to develop sativa hybrids of huge vigor and yield, with clean and energetic effects

The Malawi X haze is just for me as I never got to see it flower.
