Urban Achievers Inner City Seeds of Promise

I just did a pic like that close up last night. Hope you don't mind my sharing.

Don't mind at all!

I think tomorrow I will take a few photos of the Blue Dream #5 and Green Cush #4 at the back of the tent, they are looking frosty

There super green and healthy Urb! Great work .

Thanks TMD! Really lucky so far. Things are now on a normal pace I think. Not exactly sure where we are in the grow or how much longer we have to go but, we will get there when we get there.

All I know is these ladies came to put in some work.

So a little mid grow review on my equipment:

Light: Fusion Pro 400W COB
- Actual draw is 200W, supposed to cover 4x4 veg
- 20W COBs (bridgelux) x 20
- Canadian online grow store purchase
- The light is purple, bright, and seems to penetrate the canopy half decently but this next few weeks will be a better judge of that.
- I suspect the light is effective to 90% of the 3 x 3 tent at this stage. Few weaker buds on the perimeter, but the colas under about a 2.5 x 2.5 ft section are looking very nice.
- It's straight up aluminum heat sinks, no fans, it's quiet and very cool, I have my small fan blowing on it versus the plants, as well as the huge fan/filter exchanging a ton of air. No temp issues at all, in fact is cooler than most would want to grow (65-71F).
- Excellent price with free delivery in Canada

Fusion 6" Fan and upgraded carbon filter
- this thing is a beast, moves a ton of air, built like a tank. However it was damaged during shipping. Bent the collar but it was functional and didn't impact the set up so I kept my mouth shut. It will be part of my review on their website at the end of this journal.
- quiet enough, it's big and moves a lot of air, expect some noise.
- fairly competitive pricing for what you get

3' x 3' x 6.5' Fusion Tent (the Pro or Deluxe or whatever)
- larger 1" tubing and joints for the frame
- heavy duty wall material / zippers / double vent closures
- this thing was far cheaper than many similar tents, same deal, free shipping.
- so far so good, it has two lights and the huge carbon filter hanging from the top frame, no issues. Handles a considerable negative pressure no problem. Zippers holding up very well.
- Plenty of room for 4 plants

5 gallon geopots have been awesome.

The seeds, well, nothing but love for HSO at this point. Got what I expected. Maybe 6 weeks left? 4 to fatten and fill out and 2 to finish?

That would be a long first grow but worth the delay.

I told myself I could harvest in 3 months... I think I'm at 3 already and only couple weeks into flower. I am learning so much! I get a excited rather easily so it was hard for me to do nothing for my plants and be patience but this grow has taught me to do both. If we can harvest some quality meds, I don't care if it takes 6 months! Slow and steady wins the race right?

Well I am running on 4 hours of sleep and wasn’t able to take the high quality photos with my DSLR. So here are some iPhone pics to hold us over.

The shot of the Green Cush #3 is of the lower buds, not the main colas

Even your Iphone pics are great :) I have to say your plants are so healthy looking not a single leaf looks in need of anything. That was a cool rundown of your equipment used in an earlier post, when I got to your fan comments I chuckled as I had the same exact thing happen to my fan collar (I had bought mine as an open box item and in the long run it did not affect the usage)

I gotta say I am green with envy on your ability to get meds at a dispensary. I can't say I know the weed situation in Canada as much as I do the US, the US is starting to come around to medical and recreational state by state, right now the state I am in does not do that...yet. I have to say I enjoy growing it and if I had a place to legally buy it, I would, just as backup to my growing at the very least.

Oh man...They look luscious...Top work UA :bravo::high-five:
Thank you MagicJim! I appreciate the kind words. In return I must thank 420mag forum and its members for being awesome. 20 years ago I failed miserably solo. So any success now is because of the people here. Thank you too.

Thanks again MadeInUSA. I love how well they are growing now and I have to credit the soil being able to buffer any stupidity I inflict. The time and effort I spent building the soil is paying off ten fold now.

I still have a garbage can and a half of the stuff getting even better overwintering in my basement. I honestly could do nothing but water from seedling to harvest if I wanted and the plants would be just as healthy. Cant beat that, and as an added bonus, the resulting buds will be organic.

Growing in organic soil is supposed to bring out the colour a bit more too, and I am trying to help that by keeping temps lower, so I will hopefully have some nice greens/blues/purples this harvest (and when I grow my Deep Purple!).

It was by sheer luck I was able to get access to this dispensary as it has been a blessing. I have got to test drive so many strains lately. So far I am a fan of: Acapulco Gold, Blue Dream, Gorilla Glue, Lemon Haze, Cherry Bomb, and the Lemon Sour Diesel. Of course it was all smokable lol

Cheers guys n gals, thanks again, I am aiming for a real big photo update next. See if I can capture some of the amazing action I see going on.

Cant score if you dont shoot. A bit of motivation, a splash of luck, a few fingers of a Macallan 12yo, and a fat old school GG4 doobie later....

What I noticed today was that the green cush is going to be a breeze to trim and the blue dream will be a pain. The difference in growth structure is really showing now. Cool stuff. The WW is meh.

Enjoy the day folks.

Patience is definitely the key brother!! I think 4-5 months is really realistic for a decent crop. Ultimately your needs will dictate how long you will be willing to go. If your cabinet has a nice supply in it, you can stand to veg longer and make the girls bigger which should increase your yield. If its empty, well you are probably going to flip around a 4 weeks and take what you can.

I entered the nug of the month contest, incredible buds this month, my chances are slim but gotta try lol. I usually keep my editing light and try and do most of the editing setting up the shot. But for the contests they want it cropped only so, those ones are a bit rough, here are my entries cleaned up a touch.

I basically warmed the colour up a bit to make it give it a more warm holiday vibe. I shot these in bright afternoon winter sun coming into my place. I also used my cellular phone flashlight to get the twinkling light in the ornament.

Here is some Gorilla Glue #4

Nice buds and great pics Urban. Excellent work.

Cheers.
thanks DW, it came at a cost lol, I was smoking the subject and got wrecked in the process...and ended up getting too messed up to go out shopping with the wife...also... I left my personal vehicle running for the last few hours in my driveway...as I totally forgot about it lmao. Wife came home and asked me why it was running lol.

Oh hell it was only a gallon or two of gas (unless you have my truck....with a V10 in it....then it might be a quarter of a tank lol). Sounds like a fun afternoon!!

Well its a Jeep Wrangler so I might need to gas up before work lol, I havent checked yet so, fingers crossed. Damn I havent had a blonde moment like that in a long time lol.

The photograph throw down continues. Eventually I will capture that "ah-ha!" photo of something lol. My apologies if some of these seem the same to you. There is a method to my madness.

Here you can start to see the differences between strains. The Amnesia OG is darker green, more indica presence, and a lot of leaf building in the colas.

The White Widow is hanging in there, bushy, dense and covered in trichomes.

The Green Cush (Crack) is much lighter green with excellent bud development up the main stalks, a lot less leafy, and generally looks amazing up close.

The blue dream is a fine specimen, as expected, and probably the one I am most excited about. I hope she shows off the light blue tint in late flower. What a bonus that would be.

Overall the tent is happy. The only pest is fungus gnats and very few of them. Still might invest in some predatory mites and spread them around the tent as well as our house plants and soil storage just in case. The odor has been minor so far. Not sure if thats my filter doing work, the early stage of flower, or the strains. A close sniff of the Amnesia OG is similar to sticking your nose in an old gym shoe.

My plan was to use my camera to watch for ripeness in the trichomes. Shouldnt be an issue.
