Urban Achievers Inner City Seeds of Promise

The photograph throw down continues. Eventually I will capture that "ah-ha!" photo of something lol. My apologies if some of these seem the same to you. There is a method to my madness.

Here you can start to see the differences between strains. The Amnesia OG is darker green, more indica presence, and a lot of leaf building in the colas.

The White Widow is hanging in there, bushy, dense and covered in trichomes.

The Green Cush (Crack) is much lighter green with excellent bud development up the main stalks, a lot less leafy, and generally looks amazing up close.

The blue dream is a fine specimen, as expected, and probably the one I am most excited about. I hope she shows off the light blue tint in late flower. What a bonus that would be.

Overall the tent is happy. The only pest is fungus gnats and very few of them. Still might invest in some predatory mites and spread them around the tent as well as our house plants and soil storage just in case. The odor has been minor so far. Not sure if thats my filter doing work, the early stage of flower, or the strains. A close sniff of the Amnesia OG is similar to sticking your nose in an old gym shoe.

My plan was to use my camera to watch for ripeness in the trichomes. Shouldnt be an issue.

Alright folks, have a great day!

:passitleft:
Coming along nicely, looking good.✌️

"...and now for something completely different."

I took off my scrog net and removed the frame from my 3' x 3' tent. Gave the plants an inspection, cleaned up some leaves, snapped some photos, and put them back in close together to get better use of the light. Put it down a bit lower over more colas.

Notice some claw in GC3 but supect its thirsty so gave it a drink. I have a small batch of ACT brewing to dilute tomorrow and feed them all. Their water intake has taken off.

Well that is all for now lol. You folks take it easy out there today.

:passitleft:

Plants are gorgeous UA. Fine photo work too. :high-five:

Thanks Jim, putting a bit more effort into the photos now that I am settled into a routine with work, its one of my hobbies I latched onto before letting it fade. My hobby is hobbies lol. Its been nice to pick it back up and mess around.

Just keep an eye out for small white dots on your leaves. I recommend everyone take a look at any leaves you defoliate under a microscope. That little bit of preventative maintenance can save you A LOT of effort and time. DO NOT let mites get a foot hold if you can prevent it.

That ^^^ is sage advice. Preventive maintenance FTW. 2 Spotted Spider Mites... the Borg, you will never really get rid of them. The white spots are all I look for... that an male bits. Yikes.

UA ... woah there buddy! Garden looks mighty fine there - woohoo - Colas, we have colas! That's going to be a nice stack up right there.

Pics looking good. Yeah purple pics ... not a fav for me either. I'm running 2 1750K lamps on one side of my flower room and they make everything look like Mars. Hard to filter out. I actually like how you filtered the purple better than how I do it for the orange. My wife keeps trying to hand me a CD of PhotoShop.... great no... too much work. What's internet? Asking for a friend --> :geek:

Your grow is coming along nicely. Plants look amazingly healthy, GREAT pics and sub'd for the harvest! :high-five: :passitleft:

thanks DW, it came at a cost lol, I was smoking the subject and got wrecked in the process...and ended up getting too messed up to go out shopping with the wife...also... I left my personal vehicle running for the last few hours in my driveway...as I totally forgot about it lmao. Wife came home and asked me why it was running lol.

Nice... Keppin it WARM n GREEN ... all good. Engines are made for running not sitting idle.. Oh wait...

You should try shopping .... but let your wife drive. It's a gas! not. I'd rather change the oil in my PU truck in the winter time and snow. Just sayin.

Thank you sir! I appreciate all the kind words everyone. It's certainly nice to at least see people are looking at the journal lol.

I try not to use much editing software. Most of the hard work is done in my setting up the photo and camera. Typical editing for me is sharpening the image, cropping, and resizing for uploading to the web.

I am not super savvy with computers or software so I tend to limit my time with it. But I will spend 20 minutes setting up a specific photo in order to avoid using software.

I may not spend a ton of time doting on my plants but I spend a little bit of time thinking of photos, taking photos, and editing/prepping for uploading.

Cheers all

Edit: because I can, here is some nugs from the other day

UA, damn man! Those girls are looking sick! As in good. Lol. I gotta get myself some gorilla glue.

Thanks man, it's pretty potent, I can see why people rave about it. Much like the Blue Dream. It is some killer smoke.

I have about 12 grams left and I am watching it closely.

Lol I would watch it closely as it went into the bong and disappeared forever! Don't you wish we lived in the future where you could put your couple nugs in a duplicator machine and in a couple seconds you would have almost a whole ounce. The younger generation needs to get on this, and get off their twitters and snap chats lol.

lol replicated buds will still never be as good as organic soil grown :laughtwo:

“You see what happens Larry?! This is what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps.”

Well I definitely like the access better for watering.

Temps around 71 and RH has been around 41. Plants are about 26” from the soil max.

Fed them each 2 litres of diluted ACT (1.5L water, tablespoon or two of pt 1/2boogie brew, 1tsp bat guano, tablespoon of my soil) that was aerated in a 2L jug for 36ish hours. That was put into a larger container where I added 10 more litres of fresh filtered water.

Each of the 4 main plants got about 2.2litres of this diluted tea. The soil absorbed that so I fed each plant another 1litre each of plain water until it pooled a bit in the tray. I think I will be watering more often this next few weeks.

I am getting some amazing scents off each plant now. Well after manhandling them this last few days anyway. The Green Cush #4 is sticky and sweet with floral background. I am in for a treat if they bulk up a bit and finish strong.

All of the plants are nice to look at and have interesting characteristics. Blue Dream is a beautiful plant and it also smells intoxicating.

In anticipation of potential problems, hopefully lol, I ordered a dozen YoYo’s in case some of these colas need support. I tried a few different LST techniques and in a few instances one of my main colas is from the first or second side branch up from the soil that had been trained up. The net was helping keep it happy.

I love looking at these plants lol. Let end this with a group shot tonight of these achievers.

Cheers

Checked on the plants this morning before lights out. Everyone looks fat and sassy. I also got some fresh nugs in the mail, Pink Kush and Death Bubba, and snapped a few photos to submit for your viewing pleasure.

Another blurple shot with some color correction.

Alright thats all I got. Nap time then its off to work. I hope you folks had a great day and your evening is filled with fine cannabis shenanigans.

:passitleft:

Some seriously awesome frost Urb! Great work. Plants look to be loving life.... don't tell them it's coming to an end soon . Time for them to pack on some poundage now!

GREAT looking flowers there UA wont be long now.

Curious why you took down the ropes?? I thought that looked perfect.

Access ??

Yeah mostly access. Access to water, trim, and photograph. It was a tough call but one I am happy with.

I had also trained the plants so the main colas were to the outside (not on purpose), particularly with the GC3, causing many of the colas to be on the outskirts of the intense light. So my theory was to release their bonds, which in turn would let them rebound more vertically and reducing the spread. Now I get more of the colas under the middle of the light footprint.

Edit: I am kinda kicking myself for not taking a clone of these plants. The Green Crack/Cush #4 has Sativa leaning qualities and is filling in beautifully. I think it's going to be killer.

Looking mighty fine UA. I'm a big fan of the aromas that Blue Dream goes through during the bloom. I'm just a BD fan!

Do you have a breeder you prefer Jim? I will be starting a Blue Dream here in a couple weeks so inquiring minds want to know......
