Urban Achievers Inner City Seeds of Promise

Well I just made my own Blue Dream Seeds, but there's a twist. I used Haze Extreme as the pollinator and a runted BB for the sow. Hopefully I'll pull some good Phenotypes out that crop of seeds, and of course a male would be cool too but unnecessary for a while.

It's gonna be interesting to see how these seeds stack up to the seed companies. Only one way to find out...

Great shots UA!!

Thanks Agemon! I can't wait to try my BD in comparison to the dispensary buds. Mine should be a bit tastier I imagine.

I like those parents you used. I am willing to bet you can find two or three solid pheno's. If I had more space, and time, so would experiment and create some fun stuff. For now I am content to learn to grow...and watch you guys chuck the pollen around lol

Cant let off the gas now. Hold my beer, watch this.

You know as I sit here and think about it I've got this voice in the back of my head, "Keep the strain alive!" Maybe it's cause the 818 is my first girl in a long time, hell she's lasted longer than some of my past girlfriends...

It's difficult every time I think about letting this particular pheno die, I'm just not ready yet...

:green_heart:

Omg lasted longer than some girlfriends....

Do you have a breeder you prefer Jim? I will be starting a Blue Dream here in a couple weeks so inquiring minds want to know......

The seed I used for my BD was from Humboldt Seed Organization. So I don't know if anyone's BD is better but I've just never heard a bad word about HSO. In my opinion the one I have is top rate herb but I have no basis for comparison. I never had BD before I grew one so it's the best I ever had

Now I have hundreds of S1 seeds from my last reversal project.

Yours look so nice I'd love to stick my nose in there too.

Well no mega update this morning. I got up a bit too late to catch the lights on.

But I was looking at various journals and some of the cloning discussions going on. I starting thinking what will I use or how will I clone?

The answer is quite literally staring me in the face as my wife's tower garden sits in our living room like a 2nd sun. All I need to do is throw a cutting in a rock wool cube with some aloe or rooting compound and pop it into an empty slot in the tower. Boom. Clone factory. Just set it and forget it.

"...and now for something completely different."

I took off my scrog net and removed the frame from my 3' x 3' tent. Gave the plants an inspection, cleaned up some leaves, snapped some photos, and put them back in close together to get better use of the light. Put it down a bit lower over more colas.

Notice some claw in GC3 but supect its thirsty so gave it a drink. I have a small batch of ACT brewing to dilute tomorrow and feed them all. Their water intake has taken off.

Well that is all for now lol. You folks take it easy out there today.

:passitleft:

Wow, thats pretty cool you taking the scrog off. I figured once I put it on, it would have to stay on until I harvested. I would be too afraid of breaking a branch or cola, or just getting sticky in the process. It's good to know it can be done. It made for some great pics. I agree it makes clearing out dead leaves alot easier the way you did it. My tent opens on 4 sides but its still an exercise doing leaf maintenance, and same for tent. I didn't notice the yellow tops on your smart pots until just now, I've been staring at the bud for so long lol

Thanks man! Yeah the yellow covers are sticky bug traps. I had a few gnats and they work fairly well. Lock down pads is the name of them I think.

I will say that a few of the colas are pretty heavy for the stems they are growing on. With a scrog the stems don't always get strong enough. But I will manage

If flattened plants out with a scrog and taken it off several times. Some strains are very lanky though and fall over after removing the scrog. I don't do it often but every once in a while. Usually space reasons because I have to flower off more plants

Thank you Rooster that means a lot coming from experienced growers like yourself. I am walking in the footsteps of giants. Super high giants with green thumbs lol.

Lol your doing just fine all by yourself bro. No need to idolize anyone when your doing what your doing in here. I just caught up. Pretty solid stuff man. Your hitting all the right beats right now!

Yeah definitely surpassed my lowered expectations. Being on 420, and spending 4 or 5 months preparing, has really paid off. It's making me look like I know what I am doing lol.

The people and vibe on this site is nothing short of awesome. I count myself lucky.

Lol making it look like you know what your doing is knowing what your doing my friend lol you can't trick those of us who already know what we are doing. So if your making it look successful to all of us then we know your killing it because we also know that a picture maybe worth a thousand words but a memory has to be made in person. In other words if it looks dank in here I'd probably shit myself in person! I appreciate all kinds of grows and this one is just as awesome as riders or Gramps or any of the other people knocking it off the shelf right now. Keep rocking on brother!
