Weekly Summary
It's now been 5 weeks since flip and things appear to be going relatively smoothly.
The stretching seems to have come to a halt and it appears that they are now settled in. It's bud building time now.
I was away for most of the week so the Blumats were taking care of the watering chores while I was away. I should have set them up sooner and gotten them calibrated and tuned in properly with some monitoring time before I left.
When I returned home I noticed that the Blumats were set a bit too "wet" and were delivering more water than I would have liked. Oh well, live and learn.
I noticed some light leaf yellowing on a couple of the girls that could be nitrogen deficiency and on some of the others I'm seeing what could be calcium and/or magnesium deficiency.
Some of this could be caused by over watering, but since it's now been about 6 weeks since they've been transplanted I assume that it's also time to begin topdressing.
So after turning off the Blumats and allowing the girls to dry out for a day and and a half I went ahead and top dressed all of the original girls with a mix of composted soil, worm castings, bone meal, and epsom salt.
I added 3 small garden shovel scoops to each of the original plants, worked it in with a fork, then watered in. We'll see how they react over the next week.
And last but not least, a new girl has been introduced to the grove since the last update.
The original clones that were taken are getting quite large now so I decided to add one of the original LA Chocolat clones on Sunday of last week.
