Ganja Grove Update - Flowering - End of Week 6

LA Chocolate - DNA Genetics

Germination Date -
@ June 15th - 18th

Most - August 23rd

Lights -
4 x Mars Hydro Sun Series LED's (300 wall watts each)
1 x Mars-Hydro 144x5 Reflector Series LED (@315 wall watts)

Lighting Scheme -
11 On / 13 Off
Lights on during the evening hours to help keep lights on temps down.

Environmental Conditions -
Lights On -
Temps - 77 to 82 degrees F
RH - 47 to 60%

Lights Off -
Temps - 64 to 68 degrees F
RH - 50 to 65%

Nutrients / Fert's / Stuff -
2 gallons of veggie soup infused tap water applied at a 1:8 ratio.

Pest Control / Prevention -
Leaf inspection only. No pest observed.

Weekly Summary
It's now been 6 weeks since flip and things appear to be going relatively smoothly. While inspecting the girls I found one branch on my LA Chocolat that had a couple of nanners beginning to show. Since this was the only spot on the whole plant showing any sign of hermi I went ahead and removed the entire branch and will monitor closely instead of chopping her.

I then inspected my tent for light leaks and found where a corner seem had begun to come apart. So I taped up the seem from both the outside as well as the inside and checked again for light leaks.

Now that the stretch has stopped they're beginning to pack on bud weight and the trichome production is also beginning to ramp up.

They are also beginning to take less water.

Since they're nearing the home stretch I will plan to install a second fan and filter soon. This should reduce my lights on tent temps and get the trichome production popping in the final weeks.

I find your boiled soup idea fascinating. Unless you boil it for days it should still give you something, I'm just not sure what, or that it'd be worth the energy expenditure. An interesting experiment though, since you're not going for living things with this, but rather vitamin and supplement value. How do you plan to quantify results, if you do plan such?

I don't mind doing the cooking. Unfortunately she did not have "other compensations" that were great enough to offset her lack of other domestic skills. We were just not a good match from the get go. LOL!

The energy expenditure amounted to about 30 to 40 minutes in the kitchen. I don't really consider this as energy expenditure. LOL!!
It will work as a vitamin and enzyme supplement and provide some level of benefit as long as the ingredients are varied and it's applied at low to moderate applications rates.
The sugars, carbs, and proteins should also provide a bit of a nutritional boost for the microlife as well.

I don't really have the space to conduct experiments of the scale needed to accurately gauge the effectiveness so I have no plans to do so at this time. Maybe someday when I graduate to a larger garden. :)

If it didn't I'd be mighty surprised. There's no doubt the man works like a dog, but it's a happy dog who gets to grow monster plants, legally, in those incredible greenhouses. Oh yeah. Do visit. And then start those plans in motion. :battingeyelashes: :Love:

I already have lots of land available back home that's already being used for agriculture production. It wouldn't take much to convert things over to an organic cannabis operation. :)
This is only a pipe dream on my part though. I'd be happy as a lark just to be able to do some small to medium scale breeding projects (medium to large scale) without fear of going to prison.

Where I'm originally from, you could still end up with 6 months or more prison time for simple possession of less than an ounce depending on the judge that hears the case. A greenhouse full of plants much less a full scale canna plantation or grow operation just doesn't seem to be a realistic hope.

11 acres should work out just fine. Have garden tools will travel. I hear that Canada is nice during the summer months..... :)

The East Coast here is great :) Almost completely surrounded by water and a landscape covered with ponds and small lakes, as well as, mountainous terrain, its an outdoor lovers dream LOL
