Tutankharmon - 400HPS - Soil Coco Mix - Grow

@king, do you know what the doses are on the snow storm, ill check online and see what i can find out as he could go with a smaller bottle and order something else with it, i guess it all depends on how much postage you want to pay or if your going to use to use the voucher for the postage as well, or maybe thats not possible

their earth recharge product looks ok as well, might not be something you would use though, im not really the best to ask as ive not used any of them products, i would only be going off the info provided on the site so maybe king would offer the best advice on what to buy or just pick what you think you will use.

Hey LA I'm thinking since you have the new nutes, see how they do without complication of other stuff, one thing that's a super bang for your buck thing is worm castings, they are perfect food, never burn and add tons of microbes to your soil/coco with the rush of advice and new toys, remember less is more, we tend to overdo it when we have lots of goodies, another thing to Look into, is AZOMITE another big bang yet gentle item with 70+ trace minerals,,that 2liter fermented design was first introduced by member jandre, it's a good design but it requires alot of attention I have one I don't bother to use anymore I didn't see any noticeable difference and I don't think it adds much co2 unless your in a tiny sealed space just my opinion, I don't know what your space is,you may get something out of it, it just seemed I was fidigiting with it all the time adding stuff to keep it going it's really a small generator and stops reacting pretty quick a sticky stinky mess imho, my thoughts are you won potm why mess with success! Congrats btw! Been trying to win for 3 yrs lol so good job :high-five:

Wow a real Pleasure to have your Sage advice Big Irish, your right I'm just getting a bit caught up with the chance to play with new toys. I'm gonna take on board your wise words and your info on bang for buck Stuff like worm castings etc. Kind of slapped me in the face with a wet fish lol. THANKS! (needed it) thinking a bit more clear now. As one certain member would say Focus...

It's all good I saw the feeding frenzy effect kicking in that I have seen many times right before someone effs up their grow, lol I have done the very same thing ,wish someone was there to say it to me, I'm referring to a time before I joined this site, my time here and most the advice I have been given has been spot on,when in doubt ,wait think about what you really need ,it's a simple vegetable/herb after all, ancient as time glad I could be of help:thumb: you have beautiful plants already

Hey y'all, fairly big update today, massive defol, big training session stretching her for her final form before letting her build upwards. Lots of torture all round!
Pics speak better so here we go.

First lot are showing before today's work.

Now the training. As you can see on the lower branches I clear most new growth, working outwards from the stem. The lowest I remove the most, the second layer I strip a little less. Then the upper levels I hardly strip at all. This will leave you with an even canopy when she's done stretching.

Now my other little ones. My little Tutt clone. and my little Critical sensi star. The Sensi I have removed the deformed leaves, as she will be left now for a few days before beginning her training into my first try as spiral designed training!

I'll flip her and start pinching her ends of limbs to stunt her stretch and compact the node spacing. PIC TIME!

DAmn man that picture is just wonderful, I couldn't take my eyes of it when I first scrolled down the page. You are are growing entrapreneur man, daring enough to take these techniques to the next level ;)

A snippet from another site on infra red hope it helps.

The plants use red and infrared light to regulate stem growth and flowering response. Plant cells produce a chemical called a phytochrome, which has two versions. One version, PR, is sensitive to red light (660 nm). Red light converts PR into PFR. PFR signals the plant to grow short stocky stems and also helps the plant grow into specific shapes. The plants also use red and infrared light to measure uninterrupted darkness. As far as plants are concerned in terms of flowering, if there's no red light, it's dark.

PFR is sensitive to infrared light (730 nm), which converts it into PR. When PR levels build to a critical amount, scientists hypothesize that a hormone called floragen becomes active and induces the plant to flower. The reason floragen is called hypothetical is that researchers can see its effects, but they haven't found it yet.

PFR reverts to PR naturally. For PFR to be present, it must be renewed continuously by the presence of red light. When plants are shaded, they get less of the needed red light. In the absence of red light, the PR version predominates and the stem stretches to reach the light. Lower side branches shaded by leaves from above have PR and grow longer until they reach the light. Then they modify their growth in the presence of PFR.

Some thing I learned about PR and PfR, also from an outside source so take it with a grain of salt--- Any light during the darkness period cause the plant to revert all the PR back into PfR and the night is wasted. Thus the gas latern routine.

Good weed Sir Light Addict. Hope all is well sir.

To go back to a previous post I quoted something on the subject I wrote on a members thread. I basically explained that, YES red spectrum light does induce flowering quicker. (As I have not finished reading the whole journal yet, forgive me if you decided not to go with it). I hope how I describe how PFR and PR work within a plants system better explains the reaction that takes place with the introduction of red spectrum light.

>>>first gave them a solid 36 hours of total darkness,

>>>but before the 12/12 i gave them 36 hours total dark to drop the (PR) and give me more (PFR)

In my opinion, I dont think the 36hrs of darkness before flowering is necessary, it may be more detrimental than you think. I have read the article by 'Whizz' where PR and PFR is exchanged. I think it should have been explained like this: when a a plant is inn vegetative growth it goes through a classic 18/6 light schedule, the more light the more Phytochrome Far Red, which is a pigment that works with higher nm red light, the longer the plant will veg, and the more PR, a pigment that reacts the with lower nm of red light, the more quicker the plant will flower.
Both 'work' with light but both don't work at the same spectrum. Going into flowering, the plant is getting 6hrs less of a higher nm of red light (PFR-veg) and 12hrs more of lower nm red light (PR-flowering). Would a plant really be making that much more PR with 36hrs of darkness faster than a plant that just switched straight to 12hrs of a PR producing spectrum?

I just think the dark period might have stressed out the ladies a bit, but once again this is all just my opinion and not necessarily fact

Good Luck Mick

Another Freakin amazing shot of your lady Light! I am truley jealous of your techniques;)

OK bennies or zymes, help I dont have a clue lol. I want something that will fill a gap in my nutes that I already have, as said, roots booster? whats best.. I really need some wise person to help as I just get confused when looking at perfect gardens range.

I can vouch for a live environment (bennies) for your roots to help promote rapid growth and tight root mass formation! I use a diluted form of the 'Heisenburg's Tea' weekly and it speaks for its self;) Take your time to read this article that pretty much gives you a perspective on each method and how it works. (It applies to soil as well as hydro mediums). Live or Sterile?

Apologies for such a long post, but I felt like I need to get to everything with the amount of information on this thread, it's almost overwhelming! I appreciate you sharing your grow with all of us and as you may have guessed I am subbed. +Reps for an awesome insight on your 'style' of growing!

What an absolute monster. She is going to reward you with plenty of the good stuff.

You have convinced me of the merits of LST.

Wow LA that is some awesome stuff. Went thru the whole journal. I am glad I am not trying this with 30 plants lol.

Some really amazing results you get from those CFL's, LST and Topping.

Subbed and +reps my friend, looking forward to seeing your great results.
