Top Secret Government Lab: High Brix Quadline: G13 Haze!

G13 Haze Transplant Day

So finally transplanted this girl. Pretty sure that’s what she’s wanted the whole time. Lol. She went from a 1 gal to a 10 gal geopot (sponsor plug). Every 4 inches of soil or so I would sprinkle some roots powder in there.
Here is The rootball. Before putting it in the new soil, I ran a razor blade down the length of the rootball in 4 spots. Then I sprinkled roots powder on the rootball and in the hole.

Once I got her in there and covered, I did some good training. I pulled out all the old pins and pipe cleaners. I switched to the 10” long garden stakes. Remember the upper branches were the ones I had snapped early on. I tied down the branch on the side of the break closest to the main stalk. Then I put a stake on the other side of the break but didn’t tie it to it. I placed it under the branch to provide support and keep so much pressure from going through the break.
Then I was able to train further out the branches. Yayyyy!
Then a light defoliation!!
I watered her with about 2 gallons of transplant drench. Will follow with a destress foliar tomorrow. Not gonna worry about flipping till I get her trained out to the edge of the pot and then a lil vertical.

Nice update Mr! Hey is this your droopy girl?

Edit: I'm sorry man, I'm stoned right now. I forgot to commend you on that transplant job! Also those roots look really great :thumb:

Sweet, great job magoo.
Thanks Mr. S! Definitely not growing like the Blue Dream did. But she’s coming along. Hoping for some good growth moving forward.

Thanks a lot bud! I’m just glad I was able to do some more training with her. That’s my favorite time spent with them.

Yea I just pulled some tops down on my girls in flower as well.

G13 Haze
Day 58

Up potted yesterday at day 57 from sprout. She looks to have filled out a bit since the defoliation yesterday. Kinda getting a decent shape to her. I need to count the tops and see if I need to thin them out a bit. @Asesino85 I was wondering if you have found a sweet spot in general as far as maximizing yield with the quadline. Last grow the one with fewer tops ended up yielding more. My mind is lingering around mid to upper 20s but wanted your thoughts on this. I think I remember you mentioning a range you shoot for at some point.
From the side view you can see she’s a lot more level than she has been but not quite there yet. There is still a bit more room in the pot for me to bring the ends down and out a bit more. That should level her out pretty good but I want to give her a few days to recover before I do anything else. Here she is..

Chemdog 91’
Day 33

She’s so far behind the haze. Lol. I think I may do as suggested and pull her out to keep her in light once I flip for the other girl. Hopefully she will catch up and not start to flower till I want her to. If she does....Oh well. Right? Lol. She already smells so good. Have her just a bit of water tonight. Will hit her with a bit of Brix foliar tomorrow. Here she is...

Dark Devil Auto
Day 22

Do you see preflowers? Loving this girl so far! @weenmeoff Have you grown Autos in the kit? I’m just wondering how to transition the feedings. She just got her first TP drench last night. Destress foliar received tonight. I was thinking of watering at next feeding and then a growth drench after that and then on to the regular flower schedule for feedings at that point. Would that be ok or is there something that would be better for her? Here she is....

I don't know anything about Doc's Kit but I know he up-cans and flips which I don't understand. I thought we have learned that most root growth happens in veg, and in flower the plant shows more topside growth. If that Haze were mine I'd give it at least 2-3 weeks to stretch out those roots before I flipped it. Quad shape looks great. I'm looking forward to hearing from Ase on the number of tops as I just started my Peyote Critical quad this weekend. My last one was a male .

The Chem and the DDa look happy, but can't help you with the GSCa. You need a brix grower to chime in on that one.

Yeah, I loved that male you had. I was really looking forward to seeing “her” flower. As far as flipping, I’d like to get a couple weeks in before I do that. I can do a little more training later this week and then let her get a little more vertical than I did my last grow. That’s one thing I thought I could have done to improve my yield in the end. The G13 should stretch quite a bit more but I think she could get a bit more vertical than the Blue Dream did before flip and still be manageable. But that could just be wishful thinking as well! Lol.

Hey Magoo! I've never done an auto but I'm pretty sure they get treated the same as photos as far as water feed goes. Are those autos in 1's? I thought you were supposed to start them in their final pots...? I used to give 2 RO's (short for straight water, reverse osmosis but I use spring water) between each drench but now only do 1 and most times its 1/4 trans (1/4 of normal drench dose) i know this is basic but it helps to see it written, feed water as follows, RO>Trans>RO>GE>RO>Trans, etc...if you don't have a lot of product (regular kit) then double up those RO's. The 2 consecutive Cats come at bud set which is anywhere from 16 days (sativas are done early I think) to 35 days which is late but works well for some, on average it's about 21-28 days. I hope that helps!

Roots grow through the stretch phase and then essentially stop. If you figure most strains stretch for 20 days or so, he is still getting 20 days of roots growth into the new stuff. Generally thats enough to take advantage of the new soil. Might not be sufficient to go from a 1 to a 15 but I think 1 to a 7 or a 10 and its sufficient time.

I do it with some of my up pottings, like going from 5 to a 10 or a 10 to a 15. Up pot right before flip and let it go.

Good to know. Thanks Van!
