Tnoldons Indoor Lemon Skunk Grow (Poor Man's Grow)

Here is the picture update I can't explain much but you can see the issue in the pictures. The lemon skunk also has the same problem but since she is so big now one set of leaves doesn't even matter and you have to look hard to even find the problem.

Ok wish me luck guys I'm about to move everything for a 30min drive on back roads and shitty weather I hope all goes well!! I wont be able to pot possibly for a week or so but i don't know yet.

Ok guys thats all for now. I hope to get some feed back. And let me know what you think of their progress as far as size goes : ) thanks!!

Ok the move has been made! So far no accidents have happened, but they are in a new environment different temp and humidity so I do not know how this will effect the plants. The lighting is the same but there are no walls to reflect the light so I might have to build something soon to help with that. They will all be moved back to there original home in the next week or two hopefully sooner than that.

Maybe :hmmmm: you can request an early inspection "due to you having to go out of town"????:;):

That's not a bad idea! I think I might try that and see if it works

Good news on the safe move Tn. I'm no expert but that looks like a nitrogen deficiency to me. I'd just hold the course with your new watering/nute sked and keep an eye on them, as long as it doesn't spread you should be fine. If it does spread up the feeding strength. Good luck!

Thanks for the info Blue. I gave them all a healthy dose of 1/2 strength nutes and will go to full strength in a week if all goes well.

Ok so I'm at the new grow area as we speak :) Every thing is looking good, I guess it was a good enough temperature for them because there were no signs of anything going wrong from being to cold. I do need to get new lights mainly the "warm" CFLs to help with the flowering. Just wondering but when will I start to notice buds forming?

Hey Tn congrats on the safe move.

Believe it or not you'll start to see the buds forming very quickly. Sometimes it's just a matter of days, longest should be 10 days or so. Instead of new growth emerging from where it was before, flowers start to form. Then they start developing along the stem underneath the top of the cola at all the nodes.

Also the stems start growing a lot, what we call stretch. They can grow an inch or more a day now, so be careful if you leave them unattended for long periods. Make sure your lights are far enough away so they won't grow into them.

Make sure you get the 2700k cfls. They're usually called 'daylight' but I won't buy them unless I see 2700 on the label.

:peace:

The place I live in does the same type of inspections once a year. If you are renting, then these inspections are probably in your lease because they are relatively normal. They mainly are trying to see the quality of the building, and to see if you are living in any way that would degrade the structure of the building. As long as you are a clean and tidy person, they generally just walk through in about 5 minutes.

Good looks on the quick move! Plants look great bro!

Thans for the info Blue! And Smokey I hope your right and they get in and get out I hate people being in my home while I'm not there! Its just hard to trust people sometimes.

I went and got 3 (2700K bulbs all 100w) and mixed them with my regular lights. So its now 3 2700k and 2 6500k bulbs total. I cant wait to see the buds forming! And yeah I noticed the growth already both my plants were touching the lights when I checked on them today! So I had to move the lights up a bit

Ok so a little update. I might be taking a few pictures today if I get time. The plants are still not with me but they all seem to be doing well even in the 10 degree temperature difference (colder not warmer). The lemon skunk is looking very well and I can see new green growth every time I go to check on her and the same with the rocklock. The AK-48 is doing very well also getting bigger every day. I can't see any buds forming yet, but I'm hoping to see something soon.

Looking at my grow I can already tell the plants are very small compared to what I normally see. Could this be from the lights? maybe just not enough? I will be doubling the lights for the next grow I do using a total of 10-12 lights hoping it helps. Also maybe because of the LST its harder to tell how big they really are since they are always tied down.

i bet your LST makes the plants look smaller than they really are. also, when you switch to 12/12 they will double in size.. at least. looks like your girls recovered very well.... i would add some more lights and do not let the plants hit the bulbs. mine did in some spots and burned the stems. not good at all, as it almost killed that branch.

Yes its hard to tell the real size with the LST but they are very very bushy so I know they are doing great. Yeah I did already have a problem of them touching the lights but lucky for me there was no damage done and I moved the lights up by about 3 inches. I don't have money just yet to get a new light set up but I'm hoping by next month I'll have some money saved up to get a new light fixture. Good thing you saved your branch before it turned to a crisp! :grinjoint:

Ok so here is a quick update and it's a picture update! The lemon skunk is getting pretty big : ) and very bushy I know she isn't nigh compared to a lot of plants on here, but to me she is huge lol. The rocklock is also looking good lots of new growth the yellowing again has slowed down a lot. The Ak-48 is looking good as well new growth and healthy looking leaves. I may not tie her down or top her just so I can see the difference from LSTing and a Toped plant vs a regular plant. Anyway enjoy the pics!

*Pictures were taken from my phone so they kinda suck

Also no buds forming yet, I'm hoping it happens soon though. I think the light schedule is fine but there has been a few times the light thats not on a timer was turned of an hour late from when it should've been turned off. Can this negatively affect the plant? Its only happened a few times.

Looking good Tn! Be patient, the buds will be coming.

Plants need 12 hrs or more of uninterrupted darkness to flower. An extra hour here or there is probably no big deal, but if it's happening regularly I don't think would be good. They could revert to veg or hermie on you. Or just not flower. :peace:

Actually for a phone you take very good pictures. They look very healthy!!

Thanks Tmac, yeah I try my best to always take good pictures. I need a new lens for my nikon so I can take close up pictures.

Plants are looking great dude, and for useing a phone...the pics are crazy good,so u know what ur doing:):welldone:

Haha thank you J4, my phone has a very good camera on it, it actually shoots HD! amazing how far technology has come. I'm glad everyone thinks the plants are looking good always feels good to here that.

Thanks Blue! So how do you think my AK-48 is coming a long? And what do you think about just letting it grow all natural with no LST or Toping? Good or bad idea? or maybe just do a FIM to her lol. Yeah I'm trying to be more strict with the lights but I'm not in charge of it t the moment due to them not being with me :(. They will be home soon though!

Overall what does everyone think about the sizes of both the rocklock and lemon skunk? Are they a good size for being confined to a small space? And do you think I'll get a decent yield from them? I'm not expecting a ton but I do hope I get enough to last a little while.

Hey Tn! Your ak is looking great. I didn't do anything to mine and she's a beautiful plant, about 30" tall and still growing. That was after a month a vegging. So if you can handle about that much height you should be fine.

I'm hoping for 2 z's per plant but I dunno what I'll get. Good luck!
