Tnoldons Indoor Lemon Skunk Grow (Poor Man's Grow)

Dude, they look awesome!! :bravo:

Thanks Smokey!! Yeah they have really surprised me bro and got pretty big from the last time I posted pictures lol. I'm finally feeling confident in growing, I'm no pro but I can at least get them this far haha.

Ok so I'm over at where I'm keeping the plants. Everything is looking good I did notice on the rocklock there are brown spots and holes on only one leaf? I didn't see any bugs or anything so I'm not to worried. The lemon skunk is showing signs of budding! I checked and I can see theses little white hair things sticking out where the node is. Does that mean it's budding? Ill have to post pictures later. Also the rocklock I cant tell if its budding or not. It says it was a feminized seed but I can see two little sacks at the top node and that concerns me. does this mean its really a male? Again I'll have to post pictures later today so you guys can see what I'm seeing.

White hairs confirm a female bro! Congrats!

As far as rocklock, get the pics up when you can, and we will see what you got!

Ok so here are the pictures the lemon skunk is first. These pics again from my phone but not to good I was in a hurry. Hope you can see the white hairs and I'm not just crazy lol

Alos I forgot to mention that on the rocklock. I can not see any white hairs yet and only at the very top node is where I found those sack looking things.

Well for the lemon skunk thats great news! As for the RockLock she was my favorite and I hope she isn't a he. That would mean I wasted a lot of time on her/him lol. If it is a male would it be good for anything? Maybe take a clone from the lemon skunk and pollinate her with the rocklock? and make a lemon rock lol

Also I mean I did pay for a feminized seed and if she is a he then maybe I should contact the seller and ask for a new seed.

Well still no change in the rocklock so I'm not sure if it's male or female. I'll have to wait and see. Some bad news, my friend went to water them all today and watered the 2 day old seedling with 1/2 strength nutes...so I'm not sure if she is gonna make it now :(

Do you think flushing the pot she is in would cuss more harm then good? I can't even see her leaves yet she is so young it just looks like a stem with a hat on it lol

Also if the rocklock is female how long do I have to move it from the others? Also what is so bad about it pollinating the lemon skunk? Won't I get hybrid seeds? Or will the female not make any bud then? I'm new to this situation and I don't understand why its bad for peoples plants to get pollinated. Maybe someone can explain what happens. Thanks!

Remember the bags of pot from long ago, weight was half seed.,,,, The best thing if you want some seed, is to move the male, when it is time use a qtip and just pollenate a few buds.

Yeah I know what you guys mean I didn't think it would be a big deal but I know I'm already getting small buds and for them to have seed would make it worse. I am cloning the lemon skunk the branches on her a very large. Now that the lemon skunk is budding if I take a clone can I make it go back to a vegetative state? And anyone have suggestions about cloning maybe a list of do nots lol.

Its really hard to get ride of the rocklock, I mean it has come so far and I've done a lot to take care of it and now it might be a male...thats more disappointing considering I bought a female :(

I think I'll take Tmacs advice and keep some pollen from the rocklock and pollinate the lemon skunk. So dumb question but if I do pollinate the rocklock with the lemon skunk would that then be a new kind of pot plant?

Tn flush that seedling asap. Give it 3-4 times the amount of soil in the cup (water). If I could I'd transplant it again right now. Those nutes will kill it. Good luck!

Hey tnoldon, as far as the rocklock I would take some more pics and show the breeder and try to either get your money or another seed. And also, as much as it sucks sometimes you have to chop a plant down. I know it's tough now, but after you grow more plants it doesn't become a huge deal anymore. When I have to chop one down, I just start up another seed!

And if you cross the lemon skunk with the rocklock you will get seeds that have all different combination's of the different traits (phenotypes) that the 2 plants exhibit. So yes, you will have seeds with the potential of being all different types of pot. The way breeders stabilize a strain is to keep growing and breeding these seeds, carefully choosing which traits they want the plant to have.

As for the clones, I haven't any hands on experience so hopefully someone will pop in that can help you out! :goodluck:

Thanks Blue. I will flush her out today and hope she lives! I won't be able to do a transplant though so I hope she is strong enough to pull through.

Thanks for the info smokey. I haven't seen the plants in 2 days so hopefully the rocklock is showing more signs of budding and I hope its a girl! I'll take pictures today on my way over. I will attempt a clone this weekend I've read up on how its done and I think I'm up for it :)

And I have contacted the seller and I am waiting for a reply. Either way if the rocklock is a male....I will be chopping him down to spare the rest.

take no chances rip him out

I hear ya. I should probably not say chop down. I do plane on keepin the rocklock for the pollen if anything so I can try and pollinate a lemon skunk clone.

If he's a male see if you can keep him where he is when you bring your girl back home. Don't keep them in the same room and be very careful when you handle him, his pollen can get on your clothes which you can then spread to the females. Pets can do the same thing. Good luck!

Ok so here is the picture update. First will be the lemon skunk...she just impresses me every time I see her. She grew 2 inches since I last saw her and was up in the lights which I moved up 3 inches above her now. I can see more and more white hairs forming everywhere which makes me smile haha. I took a picture of her compared to a water bottle. She would stand a lot taller then the bottle, but remember she is LST'd and half of her is hanging off the side!

Ok so the other good news is the AK-48. She is looking great! getting bigger each day, a little bit of stretching and even know I said I wouldn't LST, due to no room I might have to :( Anyway she is nice and healthy...I hope it's a she anyway it said it was but so did the rocklock lol

Ok so the rocklock.... she is only 30 days old so maybe its to soon to say she is a male right? Anyway Im probably wrong and the pictures I have prove it I'm sure. I found more sack like objects on another branch and I see no white hairs at all....Is it to soon to call though? when will I for sure know it is a male...or am I just in denial about the whole thing? Oh and I flushed the other bag seed seedling her cotyledons were half yellow so it might be to late

Anyway I'm happy with how things are going. By the way the rocklock I got from a sponsor on here and they have no contacted me back yet. I really hope they send me a new rocklock seed.
