Tnoldons Indoor Lemon Skunk Grow (Poor Man's Grow)

Thanks for the info smokey. I checked on the lemon skunk and one of the branches I could take has about 3 nodes on it and have very large fan leaves, so I'm assuming that this one would be ok to attempt to create a clone with.

Alright so I checked up on my plants this morning and they have all reached back up towards the light which is great. I'm going to be putting a dark plastic bag on the window in the room so no light will get in while they are still in their dark period. I did check my feeding schedule and I have to drop the nuts down, but i don't think I will just yet. The lemon skunk is still on 1/2 strength and the rocklock is only at 1/4 strength.

So I will keep feeding them like this and then when I bump it up I'll go by the 12/12 feeding schedule instead of the 18/6

The plants by the way have started to explode! mainly the lemon skunk she has really surprised me from where she was to where she is know is just fantastic. Anyway I was was saying in a relier post that the roots have come out of the pot and I was told its no big deal. Well now a lot of roots have come out and they aren't little ones they are thick looking roots, so is this still no big deal? I could re pot her again but it seems like to much stress. Let me know. Also the rocklock has got some yellowing going on on her first set of leaves but it should be ok.

I think I will post a few pictures just of the rots and of the clone I think I could take. The branches on the lemon skunk like I said have gotten big and the one branch I counted 5 nodes on! So I think that one is my winner haha.

How much and how often do you water? The roots could be looking for water or nutes. Also, if that is a 2.5 gallon pot she's in, that really is plenty. My girl is in a 3 gal and much bigger than your lemon skunk right now, and I haven't seen one root come out of my container. Also could you snap a photo so we can see what you are seeing?

I do not water that often maybe once every 2 days or so and not a lot of water either I'm afraid of drowning them. I have the pictures below of the roots and also the clone I want to take.

Also should I be changing my CFL's out to different ones? they are 27w daylight bulbs

Here is the picture with the roots:

You are doing a great job man. And IMO the roots are no big deal. I would forget about it, because they won't grow too far out into open air. If someone else has any other thoughts, please chime in.

As far as watering goes, I water only every 3-4 days. But, I water until I get a good amount of runoff, then let it dry until the pot feels really light. The plants start telling me they are thirsty by this time as well, by wilting the leaves a bit.

And take the clone if you want bro. If you want to experiment, you just gota do it. No other way to learn! Worst case scenario, you lose the clone.

Again, everything looks kosher. :ganjamon:

Oh, and you can switch the CFL's out to 2700K spectrum. They usually say they are "warm light" bulbs. I use a mix of daylight and warm light for my grow.

Thanks again for the info Smokey! I'll just stop worrying about the roots it doesn't seem to harm my plant at all anyway. I might try and clone but I'm not sure yet. I only want clones so I don't have to start all over again, but if the plant is to small then why bother right?

I'll head to the store tomorrow and get 2 more 2700k lights I have one right now and 4 daylight CFL's.

PS Go AK48!

Hey Blue! what you see are the roots from the lemon skunk coming through the pot. From what smokey said it shouldnt be a big deal. I will try and go to 1/2 strength with the rocklock and see if it helps.

And yeah I can't wait for the AK-48 to get bigger! She will be in the flowering room with the others seeing as I only have one room lol

Ok so I just watered both plants at 1/2 strength nutes and watered them until there was a good amour of runoff hoping this helps with the roots and for the yellowing in the rocklock, it's the first time the rocklock is getting 1/2 strength nutes

It was only once every 2 days and only a small amount of water. But I'm taking Smokeys advice and watering every 3-4 days but watering until there is a good amount of run off

A little off topic but just thought I'd share a new piece I got :)

Merry Christmas :xmas:

Thanks bro! Yeah she works like a charm :)

Ok so an update of what's going on. The Lenin skunk is getting bigger she is very big now and not that I'm worried but there are a ton more roots coming out of her pot not sure if I should just put some damn dirt on the ground lol

As for the rocklock she is doing ok her yellowing got bad ill post pictures soon her bottom leave up to the 3 node have turned light green and the bottom node is all yellow, not sure if its a problem maybe mute burn or may e not enough nutes? But besides that she is doing fine

The AK-48 is doing well and no complaints. Ok so the crappy news, turns outthe place I'm living out is having a winter inspection of all the houses in out development so I have to take my plants somewhere else for a week or two which really sucks! Not sure how I'm gonna do it yet

Hey Tn! Post some pics of your Rocklock and we'll try to figure out what's happening. Did all the yellowing happen since her feeding?

Why are they inspecting all the houses? I've never heard of anything like that. Take care.

Hey Blue! I'll post pictures this morning.the yellowing in the rocklock was happening before the feeding and it has gotten worse since the feeding. And where we live it is standard for the owners of the property to do so called "inspections" I think it's an invasion of our privacy but I can't do anything about it sadly
