Tnoldons Indoor Lemon Skunk Grow (Poor Man's Grow)

Looks like you've done a great job with everything! FIM doesn't look bad at all, rocklock is going strong, and baby lemon skunk looks very well. Things are turning around fast!

Congrats on the AK-48 sprout!

Thanks bro!! that's great to here I did a good job haha, I kinda just guessed with the whole FIM thing and wasn't sure if I did it right or not. So where will the new tops come from? it will be more tops right and not just a few more branch haha still not sure what to expect.

I don't know about you but I'm impressed everyday by the Rocklock plant she is a beast lol but maybe thats normal and I'm use to bonsai grows. I think the lemon skunk will be ok it's just the bottom leaves that are messed up, but still she is a very slow grower.

Haha the AK-48 was an accident grow I don't have enough light for her but I'm hoping she gets big and strong like her sister rocklock.

To all my American friends have a happy thanksgiving!! To everyone else I hope all your guys weekends are awesome!

Ok so I was checking up on my older lemon skunk where I FIMed her and I haven't notcied any growth anywhere yet...How long does it take and where will the new branches come from?

Be patient grasshopper. How long has it been? Within a week's time you should definitely see something starting to happen.... the new shoots will emerge from where you did the cut. By the end of 2 weeks you should have all kinds of new growth. Good luck!

Ok so BIG update!! I went hunting with my old man over the past few days and had my wife take care of the plants. Anyway I get home and it looks like she was watering them with steroids or something!!

Ok so first the older lemon skunk. The bottom leaves completely dead! can't tell if its spreading to the next set of leaves or not but I think for now she is ok. Anyway the LSTing is working great! the nodes between the branches use to just be sets of 2 now they are sets of 3! they split again somehow lol. Also the FIM looks like there is new growth I can see 3 new arches that I guess will be tops now correct? Anyway here are the pics!!

Next is the RockLock...Ok she is out of control!! I came home and she is massive no lie! So I need to know should I transplant her now? The bottom leaves are getting a slight yellow tint to them maybe from having restricted root growth idk? Anyway she is getting big and her leaves are dropping...my wife watered them everyday so do you think its just over watering? Or maybe the restricted grow space? Well let me know guys lol and here are the pics!

Here are a picture of the lemon skunk and rocklock together and you can see the size difference between them!

Ok here is the seedling lemon skunk, again some great new growth! The bottom leaves are dead but it doesn't seem to be hurting the plant. I do need to change out the water and give new nuts also I wont be adding as much water this time to promote faster root growth. I did check the roots and there is a lot more and they look hairy now lol.

Last but not least the new addition Ak-48. She is small but looking great!! Getting bigger everyday and no complaints so far lol.

Things look great! I'd say yes you should transplant the Rocklock soon, the yellowing of the bottom leaves usually indicates a nitrogen deficiency. So I'd transplant her and then feed her.

Looks like 3 new colas to me, but I can't see that great. It's fun to watch the explosion of growth at the cut site.

Good job! And hope you had a great time hunting, what were you after?

Thanks bro! Yeah I guess she does need a transplant. I'm gonna try and get to that today and start feeding her 1/4 strength nuts and see how she likes it. Im so happy with how big she has gotten!! And the older lemon skunk is really bushy! I also think its 3 new colas I'll have to wait a few more days to tell for sure because they are all bunched up lol.

We went hunting for ski deer, I only saw one but heard a ton of them, never did get a shot in lol, maybe next time

I love the hunt but have no stomach for the kill. That would have been a perfect outing for me. I'd have made a lousy caveman.

Keep a close eye on the yellowing, you may need to step up the feeding fairly quickly if it's worsening. She's definitely ready for some food. Keep up the great work Tn!

Haha maybe if you were a caveman you would think about more of a kill or be killed situation lol but I guess that doesn't apply to much now a days.

The yellowing in the rocklock is slow, the cotyledons are turning yellow and the first set of leaves are a light green. I have yet to feed the rocklock any nuts so would 1/4 strength be ok? And would it be ok to move the older lemon skunk and younger lemon skunk to 1/2 strength nutes? I think the older plant would be ok but not sure about they one in the hydro? The leaves on her are a blue green tint I've never seen them that color before?

I also found a leak in my hydro system but can't tell where its coming from I'm worried because the wires are on the ground with no where to move them...this could become a fire hazard fast if I can't fix it.

Overall everything is going well, I'm going to try a few things to fix the yellowing problem and hope it works. I'm pleased with how things are going I don't feel like as much as a nub as I did a few months ago, and I think I'm starting to feel more confident in my growing skills :)

Yeah nothing like growing to build your confidence, it's the best way to learn by far.

I don't remember how old your seedlings are but after 2 weeks they should be safe to start lightly feeding. As to hydro I don't know anything about it so you want advice from another hydro guy, check out some of the great threads like IrishBoy he's extremely knowledgeable & helpful.

Good luck!

Yeah them deer are getting smart these days. They know a weapon when they see one lol.
If your transplanting in my opinion I would hold back on the nutes till you see what she does with just a few waterings.Depending on soil your using I am sure there are a lot of goodies allready in the mix.:goodjob:

Yeah deer are getting smart bro lol Soon we will need thermal vision and a helicopter to find them :)

I wish I read your post earlier I did the transplant and added 1/4 strength nutes, the transplant went well when I took it out there were a massive amounts of roots warped around here in the shape of the container lol. I only added a small amount of nutes so she should be ok. I'll post pics of the transplant tonight.

The older lemon skunk is going ok but not well, The yellowing has spread to another set of leaves and this happened within a few hours so I'm kinda worried now. I just added 1/2 strength nuts to her not to much but enough to possibly show a difference it will either help....or make things a lot worse.

Also....stupid thing on my part. When I was adding nutes to my gallons of water for the hydro, soil 1/4 strength, and soil 1/2 strength I never read on the bottle to "shake well" need less to say overtime I added nuts it was clear...come to find out after you shake it up it comes out brown... So yeah I wasn't doing it right but I fixed the problem and hopefully it helps

Here is the lemon skunk. I am wondering if the LST is to far up on the plant and thats whats killing the leaves? Anyway you can see the problem and the leaves that are turning light green and yellow its not bad yet so I'm just watching it for now but I hope it doesn't become a problem.

Some of the good angles of her :) you can see she is really bushing out!

Here is where I think the LST is to high up and maybe causing problems

Ok so onto the RockLock, she is doing well has a bit of yellowing but she was just transplanted and I hope this fixes her problem. You can see she has gotten very nigh and on the inner branches they are really getting big!

Ok so tomorrow I might be attempting the LST method with the rocklock and also depending on how well that works I'll be topping her when she gets a few more nodes on her. I like the idea of having multiple tops instead of one main one I'm also guessing that means more bud and bigger yields :) Hope everything keeps going well.
