The VipersNest Continuous

Isn't anything I can say but I'll be watching for sure. Hela good start dude. It's sure nice to be able to really clean your grow room and start afresh. I been having troubles with mites, 'dont run I'm not contagious least over the net' but then I have a constant flower room to keep fresh product coming out every month. So I have to just don the armor and battle'em. I just got some new product AzaMax. Well I'll see Looks sweet Dude +++

Hey Grow4- As mentioned in my post above, I had a 600HD in my 6ftx9ft along with a 1000Hps. The 600 was hung as a "better than nothing" thing because the 1000 HPS wasnt able to completely reach all the plants. When I installed the lite mover I removed the 600 because the 1000HPS could now reach the entire grow. Sweet!

Once a week, I was having to rotate the plants (11) from one end of the room under the 600 to the other end to be under the 1000HPS. What a hassle and as the plants grew larger (4ft) it became a tricky maneuver to avoid plant damage.

The reason I was rotating was, without a doubt, under the 1000HPS, the week's worth of bud growth was phenomenal while under the 600 the buds were kind of in limbo. Hope this helps...Sorry Pit, no thread jack intended. :peace: Peace n good luck MF

Hey Medi,
Thanks for the info and hope all goes well with your ladies. Since I am a newbie on this site what is the meaning of jacking a thread? Bad etiquette, right?

So I have a quick question for ya Pit. And no I can say I honestly did not skim over 57 pages so if you have already gave this info out I appologize for asking it again, however I dont have too much spare time at this exact moment (otherwise I would just read all 57 pages right now, since Ive already read most of it, lol). So if you dont mind me asking what is the square footage from corner plant to corner plant? And I beleive you run two 1000watt lights right? both on a lightrail? I looked on page 1 and didnt see any description of your garden perimeters their so once again sorry if it has already been asked but Im curiouse about your watt per square foot?.

Im just curiouse because I plan on putting up my two 1000 watt lights tthis weekend, one on a basic 3.5 light-rail and the other on a slave rail. This garden will have an area of plants thats 4'x10' and I just wanted to know how much coverage I will get in comparison to your grow.? Your room from the pictures looks like it has more square footage than mine with less watts per sq ft than mine but it difficult to tell .You grow MONSTERS so I wanted to make sure mine was able to have at least as many watts per sq ft as your super efficient setup. And hopefully one of my strains in those 5 gallon buckets will get BIG?!? lol..heres to hoping!.

thanx bro...they were off to a slow start ....new nutes...learning curve...... but they are now just starting to get in the groove. Im expecting big things from this grow
we appreciate all the support

Hey Pit...Curious, how are the H&G nutes workin out? Easier or more difficult to work with? Is the H&G product line all the manufacturers claim it to be or is it too soon to tell? Thoughts so far? :peace: Thanks MF

Hey, nice grow man. I'm somewhat new here, but I've been reading a lot of journals before I felt like posting. Keep it up, very entertaining and knowledgeable.

Hey Pit...great info and grow! I can't wait to start my journal. A question, I have a 6 light flowering room in planning stages with the hopes of getting it going by Nov 1. In a flowering room does it make sense to have a mixture of MH & HPS? Also, with the use of rails, in theory, would four lights be comparable to 6? Thanks again for this great journal. Peace,
G4Evr

if you have the right balasts then I would go straight MH for veg and swap to HPS for bloom. I cant tell you the exact difference between 4 lamps and movers and 6 lamps and no movers but I would surmise it equal to be to 5 lamps. Ive been told that movers will increase the output 40%. I only have 2000 watts and two movers and my plants seem to grow just fine. My lumens per sq/ft is low by most recomendations but I truly believe that the movers make up for it. We are trying to stuff a 3rd 1000 in there when this grow is done. That should be a pimp setup.
:peace:

Looking good pit,

Glad to see the new nutes are working out. Your plants look sweet.

Cowboy

hey Cowboy...we should grab a beer since we are so local. EC is doing another openhouse and they want us to partcipate and "pump it up" for them
should be in another month. they have given us like 14 Tshirts and 10 hats so far. I feel like a walking billboard when Im there. The funny thing is that the hats are all Dutch and NOONE has a friggin clue what they mean but alot of people ask me "that hat is way cool...what does it mean?" I chuckle furiously

I had mites in the last grow...I attributed it to too many plants, not enuf air flow etc. Thans why we decreased the plant count and went all femmed seeds. more room to grow more circulation ..less RH etc etc

very astute opservation bro. we are low on lumens per ft but you wouldnt know it by the results. The movers DEFINITELY make a difference. we are trying to jam another 1000 in there which will bring us up in the lumens quite a bit but I sometimes wonder if its even needed

Its too early to tell yet. I had some burn issues in the 1st week but they have rebounded back so It should be ok
