Well, I have been growing off and on for 40 years and legal for 4. The TLA's (Three Letter Acronyms) are abundant on these threads. I am just starting to catch on to a few.

I was thinking of going this route after a couple of more soil grows. I am trying not to take in any information that I don't need yet, if that makes sense. I will probably head on over to DrBud's journals sometime soon. What can I say, I'm stubborn

We'll get you up to speed before long. I'm surrounded by LOS and HB cultivator's, and the HB guys are especially enthusiastic about their kit, so you'd have to plug your ears not to hear them. 
Good grief, you're a fun one. You're forgiven. Lol! This sounds like a nice idea Canyon. I'll put it on my list.
The ones that bother me the most are acronyms for the strains. I can't keep that straight, running through 20 rooms at a time. I try not to do acronyms here, with small exception. I mean, we all know that CCO is concentrated Cannabis Oil, correct? Good, I'll keep that one.

Ahhh..... A nice progression to the day. Time for that buzz I've been saving for when everything critical was finished. Work's done, I finally had lunch at 5:00
but at least I remembered, eh, and since I'm up all night most nights that actually fits into the convoluted schedule. Lol! I started a new meditation challenge today. Oprah and Deepak run a few every year and I try to keep up with them. This one's on Shedding the Weight in Mind, Body and Spirit. I still have about 40 more pounds to drop and I decided it might be beneficial to meditate on the reasons I'm still carrying that weight around with me. Maybe this time I'll cement the habit of daily meditation. I've come close, but I keep missing days. This time I'm more determined than ever. Meditation is a powerful personal tool. That 10-20 minutes a day in silence allows your brain and body to reconnect and recharge in a way nothing else comes close to matching. It's good to be back to it again. It centers me and increases my intuitive nature, a valuable resource for a writer/researcher trying to find my way through uncharted waters. It's nice that this came along just as I'm preparing to start my new thread on oil production.
Oh, that's right. I hadn't shared the particulars with you all. I've been asked to consider starting a Cannabis Oil thread. Of course, I said yes. Lol! My plan is to make it a CCO FAQ, but with a twist. The thread will follow me as I make my transition from recreational to medicinal cultivator, feeling my way through the myriad of mind-numbing technical jargon that accompanies disease, most particularly cancer. Although I don't have cancer, I accept that at some point I'm going to be dealing with patients who do, and I need to be able to explain how cancer progresses and how cannabinoids kill cancer cells. I'll be covering everything I can think of related to the process of growing, producing and administering CCO as a healing therapy, as well as all that translation of the med speak on things like bioavailability, the Blood Brain Barrier, the basics of the Endocannabinoid System, you know, all that fun stuff.
It's a major undertaking I've been chomping at the bit to get to for months and I'm more than thrilled to have been given this opportunity. So those materials I said I'd be dropping here on occassion will now be posted there instead. The creative release of developing so much educational material is just what I need at this stage of my life. When I get it started, sometime in the next week or two, I'll let you know.

I keep telling you guys that my life doesn't work like everyone else's, that I have this hard-working guardian angel who watches over me. Every once in a while I think I might be misinterpreting events like that, and then something like today happens.
Remember the Afghani that I gifted to the cancer patient over Christmas? He's the father of my daughter's partner, and he came to visit today. He's "not a fan of smoking pot anymore" in his own words. Go figure. So today he returned what was left of my gift, along with the sweet little grinder he'd bought, fully loaded with grindings. 
Ten grams of primo Afghani bud and grindings. Now you tell me, who's the luckiest woman around? Let me get this bud into a jar with a Boveda.
Ahhh...... That's better.

So I have all this sitting here and I'm so lost in study I think I've taken 5 hits over the past three hours. Damn good Afghani, if I say so myself. Must be time to stop and take a few in quick succession. Oh.... I forgot to post these. Haha! I took these for you, I knew you'd be watching for them. I took SlowToke's advice on the light adjustment. Pretty, aren't they? Don't you love the way they bounce to attention after a drench? Look at the Critical Mass on the right!

I really feel like I'm getting it this time Graytail. Haha! It's more fun.
I look at them now and realize I I could be harvesting the autos before these even get flipped. My first grow I faked my way through on a wing and a prayer. My second I cried my way through like a lost waif. This one feels like I'm here. Nice to finally be here. Whoa! That got deep all of a sudden. Time for a break. Lol!
The Dark Devil Auto (Day 38) has stopped growing vertically, but I still did some passes with the chopstick. That'll be the last time for that. It's a technique I'll remember, along with early topping of autos.
12:30 and I'm just getting to breakfast.
