The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

that's the way i've always understood it. still call it a one hitter tho lol. i miss the ol' power hitters. do they still make them?

Holy Crap! Never knew those were called power hitters either. We used to make 'em out of found small metal piping and a shampoo bottle. Worked great!

I'll get a brush out and sweep those bits of dirt off later. They always seem to be moving so slow at this point, don't they? :laughtwo: I'm happy that they're happy. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

Back to my packing and waiting for the call. I'm not expecting him to take all this stuff tonight, but I am hoping he'll commit to it soon. Wish me luck guys.

Sue,
They have done so much with the critical line that it is risky to say much about it. I grew it through several generations. It was among the first legal plants I grew. The photo version is a fast grower and finisher. The yield is great. It smokes somewhat like AK 47, not overwhelmingly strong but a good upbeat, move around, do things kind of high. You probably know that there is a CBD version and a lot of crosses.

Are you having fun yet?

The Sage n Sour is on day 90. What to do? I can look in less than an hour. I tried another bud about a week ago. The jury is still out.

Yes, I'm having great fun, thank you. :battingeyelashes:  A lot can change in a week Canyon. Take a small sample now and either flash dry it or let it sit somewhere where it'll dry in a day or two. You vape though, don't you? That means you could try one wet and still get a close approximation. Do you check trichomes? I tend to wait until the plant asks to be harvested. That's so subtle though that it's purely instinct. I "feel" for tiredness.

Lately I've been considering taking them just as or just before they go completely cloudy, at least the plants I grow for my own consumption. I prefer cerebral to body effects. I'm just beginning to pick up on the concept of the CBD levels being determined by the point of harvest and it appears we want to harvest earlier. This is still new enough to me that I'm in the dark yet, but it caught my eye the other day.

There's so much we don't know yet. I'm always torn between the thrill of discovery and the frustration of not having ready answers for desperate members hoping to heal themselves or their loved ones.

 Still laughing about the wake'n bake griddle.

If you're human and you can laugh, you're kewl enough for this thread. :laughtwo:

arteekay, it was a rumor. :battingeyelashes:

One of the biggest changes in my use of cannabis is my mindset from recreational only to medicinal/recreational. I see that reflected in how I make my brownies. When the impetus was to get me high it was a simple matter of toss the decarbed bud into the butter and cook. Yes, indeed, I got blissfully high.

Now I'm conscious of the cannabanoids I was missing out on by not bothering to bond the cannabinoids to the oil and utilize the ability of lecithin to shuttle those little worker bees into the system. So I prepare oil, a process that takes overnight instead of an hour but has greater healing potential as well as a more potent kick.

Nice how that worked out. :battingeyelashes:

Tonight's batch is a mixture. Mixed blends tend to pack more kick so I decided this was a good place to use the immature Dark Devil Auto from the last grow, as well as the last of the Dark Devil #2 along with some Nebula, a bit of DeLahaze and topped it off with some Carnival to bring it up to 10 grams instead of the usual 8. That immature Dark Devil Auto is there for decoration and nutritional value.

And it was pretty. Can you see where the Dark Devil Auto is on this tray?

I like to grind it into powder form by hand. It gets a finer, less stressed end result and I enjoy playing in it, feeling for small nubs I missed. It usually takes me almost half an hour before I'm fully satisfied, but it's as much meditation as method, so I don't mind the time. It's been decarbed so it's easy to break down. I decarb as full buds or large chunks of buds. It's so much easier to crumble after decarbing.

When I'm done I dip the fingers I used into my cup of hot tea for a moment or two then lick the fingers clean. Too good to waste. :laughtwo:

To get that true color in the picture I went over to the tiny closet and used the Vero 240. Beautifully true color. I'm mighty impressed. While I was there I thought "why not take a profile picture?" So I did.

I'm liking what I see. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Back to my oil making. Oh yeah, the guy from the train club came by. They have a meeting tomorrow and will decide on what they want. He wants to take it all but it's not entirely his call. He did take a whole stack of tools and boxes that he could fit into the cab of his truck. Three trips up those 40 stairs. I let him do all that work. :laughtwo: So now I'm a bit lighter, but with better expectations. Tomorrow should bring more opportunity to get stuff moving. I'll keep packing. It's time to clean out the clothes closet.

I took another bud off the SnS. It dried down to 30% of wet. The buds are not going to firm up but they have not stopped growing.

The lower trichomes are mostly clear. The tops are mostly cloudy but not looking dry or amber. So far as the number and size I would say about half of what a good dense bud would be.

This bud was better than the last. (I have the microwave thing down.) I have about a bowl full left to try in the morning.

This plant has had some wild nut and ph issues to live with. When I realized the flowering was getting strange I put one of her daughters into flower at 16 inches 18 days ago. It appears more normal and is 27 inches tonight. Depending on the outcome of both plants I will try to expand on what I think happened.

So, it is still drinking some. Tomorrow makes 13 weeks in flower. Eventually I will have to at least cut the top out.

I never know

Thirteen weeks will tax your patience, but very often those long-term ones pay off with big dividends. I personally wouldn't wait for amber, unless you want the relaxing body buzz. I tend to forget about relaxing body buzzes. I can't remember the last one I had. I discovered the ethereal high one can get from a good sativa and never looked back. :laughtwo:

Let's see what you think in the morning. The first buzz of the day is the best one for testing IMHO. I'll be interested in hearing your theory, so don't forget me now Canyon.
