SweetSue Shows Off The GROWant GR480: More Light!

Hi Jim,

I have tried to make a topical cream twice based on a couple for recipes, of course one is Sues, but I can't say I've felt much relief from them. When I make oil for my CCO for my son, I'll rub all the remaining container oil all over my elbows and wrists, but it hasn't had much effect thus far. Blue Dream is a wonderful chemovar (this is Sues thread!). I play bass guitar in a band 3 to 4 nights a week, and my fingers and wrists give me hell sometimes. We just finished the sound check and my digits are happy right now, but will be achy by 2am. I am more than willing to try it again, nothing negative occurred and I have plenty of frozen produce. Do you have any topical recipes or application recommendations?

Peace
Keith

If you have Dave Groomer’s recipe your gold. If not, let me know and I’ll pm you instructions. Up the THC value in the grape seed infused oil.

I think we were using an original recipe that used a cup of infused added to the cup of uninfused with wax melted in it. We now use two cups of infused. That dramatically improves the effectiveness.

My pain cream, following his recipe, is good for anything that goes “ouch!”
Tell you what, I’ll PM you my latest write-up. :battingeyelashes:

Right after this

George, can you explain to me why I have such different spectrums going on in these tents? One has two GR240s and the other has a GR480, which I was understanding to be the same as two of the GR240s.

Obviously something isn’t the same.

Hmmmm..... I’ll wait a while longer on his answer.

They look different to the naked eye too BigBear. For a while I had myself convinced I was seeing it differently because each plant has a unique energy, if that makes sense. I take the pictures from essentially the same location at each tent. There shouldn't be this much variation, IMO.

Hi Sue, can you take photos of the lights face when the lights are on for both GR240 and GR480, send to us so we can see if they are different.
GR240 and GR480 are same spectrum, all LEDs are mounted by SMT Machine, automatically, LED layout are exact same, so they should no be different unless particular mistake.

Color looks different may be caused by different contains under the lights in the tent, different environment object absorbs and reflects different light, so the photos even naked eyes will looks different.

Apologize for answer you late, we are getting advice from our engineer, so a bit late to answer you.

Oh, don’t mind me George, I just get impatient sometimes. The guys know I’ll get past it. Lol! I posted at an inconvenient time for you, and I was aware of that.

And thank you for that explanation. It made sense to me. In essence, you’re confirming that the color tones of the plants will effect what the eye interprets. I can see that. In truth we all hallucinate. What we agree on we call “reality.” Lol!

The specimens in each tent are very differently colored, and the Jamaican is in the newer Mars-Hydro tent, which has the new surface texture. This may account for part of the perceived spectrum difference.

I’ll take a couple shots in the morning when lights are on and email them to you. :battingeyelashes:

thank you again sue.
Yes, what we see "reality" is only the light color reflect to our eyes, you well understand.:goodjob:

yes, please we need the photos that can see LEDs directly and clearly for analyzing, if LEDs layout are same, spectrum should be same.

And thank you for explanation about different specimens colored, it could be part of the reason for different "reality".

I’ll be curious to see the results of them checking the pics. It’s a fascinating observation Sue.

I actually think you might be on to it with tent surface lining. Notice the poles in each shot are the same colour... (at least that’s the reality I see :) )

:Namaste:

Amy keen eyes.:D
yes, the poles for two tents looks similar color.
Double checking the LED layout will help confirmation.

George, I decided to post these here, to clearly demonstrate how the eye can percieve different tones based on plant coloration and interior surface texture.

The lights are configured correctly, to my untrained eye.

The Jamaican, with her damaged leaves, brownish-purple buds, and the beginning of necrosis, exhibits more red tones.

Carnival, on the other hand, is vibrantly green with big, bold, white flowers. She exhibits more blue tones.

I do believe the interior surfaces of the tents bounce the light differently as well. This is contributing to the visual perception that they're different spectrums.

If you need these emailed I can do that George.

My pleasure George. I’m an educator by nature and training. We’re compelled to pay attention and question. Lol!

Just getting caught up on this journal. SO tempted to get those new lights! :slide: However, I made do with paired Mars 300's for the coverage, and have no need or desire to spend any more $ on my grow.

I'm babysitting my grandson's grow while his place gets remodeled, and all I have left of my own is a 2 x 4 closet for my own veg. The rest is all his. And he brought over extra lights, so I'm good for the rest of my life. LOL!

I'll pop the ATF's when his stuff is harvested (by Fall).

You’re doing well gramma. Lol! Good luck with those AFTs. I killed the two I sprouted with too much light and haven’t had any luck since. I’ll try again after San Diego.

George, I’ve been meaning to ask, what makes the clicking sound when they turn off? Just curious.

.

TY for the heads up. I'll be sure not to give them sunburn. ;)

Sue, we don't know the "clicking" sound except switch itself, if we can have your video better for us to understand.
Do you mean turn off from the switch or from the timer?

When I turn them off there’s a minute or two that they click, like something’s cooling down. All of the panels do that, so I’m surprised your people don’t hear it.
It has no effect on operation. I was just curious as to what mechanical process was causing it.

I’ll see if I can grab a video later George.
