Sorry Snidrajsed, I got lost in the study of alternative methods of making CCO. Had to pull myself away. :Laugh2:
Here's my take on the lecithin story.
Why you want to include lecithin into the process of making CCO.
The first thing you need to realize is that CCO is difficult for the body to break down and process. Knowing that you want to do all you can within reason to increase the amount of this valuable medicine you body can absorb and utilize.
Lecithin is an emulsifier. In simplest terms this means it helps things mix together better. It also homogenizes, which means it disperses the components into a smooth, evenly spaced mixture. Lecithin allows the body to uptake fats and oils faster.
So it enhances bioavailibity and absorption. It doesn't make it more potent, just easier for your body to process, but that means that you can either cut back on the dose or maintain the dose and expect that your body is getting more cannabinoids. Of course, since it's now more bioavaible you may need to cut back because your tolerance levels have changed. It's all an individual thing, which is why you start out with small doses and slowly increase until you find your sweet spot.
Did I help at all?
