The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

If they adjusted the app to be able to upload pictures to your gallery, added notifications of likes, thanks, etc like 420 to it it would be awesome. Maybe make the app a better version of the mobile page I would use it a lot more. Being able to add reps and emoticons with it would be great as well. Speed, functionality, and efficiency are key points I would hit.

Morning sue...well afternoon for you. :hugs: :passitleft:

Good day nis. :hugs: :passitleft: Thanks, I needed that. Missed my afternoon capsule. BRB...............

Hi SweetSue. Everywhere I read there you are....Helping...being so kind and genuine! I feel blessed knowing you and others like you make this place so special!

:Namaste:

I have so much reading to catch up with but wanted to give you a shout-out while I watch you grow.

Grow-On SweetSue!

I do get around RueBakon. :laughtwo: They're wonderfully tolerant of my slightly manic presence everywhere. Lol! They're my tribe and I love them all dearly, so it's nice that they reciprocate.

The reading never stops on this site. We're madly addictive. There's just so much to learn there'll never be enough hours in anyone's day. I'm glad you're finding the site to your liking. You give off good energy. Kind of a warm feeling to it. Anybody ever tell you that?

You need any help around the site you just ask, deal? :hugs:

I am thinking of dabbling in GLR myself Sue, my veg becomes overgrown by the time I want to flower. This would help with heat as well.

Cool, that'd be neat to see how much better your plants respond to it than mine. :laughtwo: You have that magical trichome production thing going over in your yard. Just amazing!

Why thank you 2Star. :battingeyelashes: I do my best and they all tolerate me. :laughtwo: :welcome: to my joyful little journal and to the :420: community. Make yourself at home and feel free to jump right into the conversation at any time. I hope your finding the site to your liking, and if you have any needs to help you settle in better, please let us know.

Lol, yes Sue, I did just finally catch up here late last night when I couldn't fall asleep. I find the interface for reading and browsing on the app to be much easier to navigate on my ipad & especially my phone. It seems like there should be someway in there to bookmark a post in a specific thread, but the best I've been able to do is subscribe to the thread. Some of those however, like Doc's Q&A, can be a bit lengthy to know where to reference something. I saw you mention posting to your blog and have figured that one out on the site. I just wish there was a way to do that in the app.

I think I'm going to start a journal soon. I've struggled with the germination and seedling process quit a bit and am finally feeling like I'm getting a hold on it. I'm currently practicing with some reg bag seed. I've managed to harvest two autos and just flipped to flower on a beast of a plant in my first HB grow. I think we're going to need a bigger boat....

I have her in an 18 gallon tote.

After reading through lots of journals here I've decided, thanks in large part to Con & Zigg, that I want some pure landrace sativa bud. I just put in my order for some ACE beans yesterday and I have a feeling that I'm going to need some help learning the ropes with the pure sativas. I'm very happy I happened upon this place. It has been an invaluable tool to me as I've been learning the basics of growing and I'm sure it will continue to be even more beneficial as I learn to pheno hunt and breed, which is what I'm wanting to do with those lovely south African genetics that are heading my way.

Envy. I've yet to send off for any ACE genetics, but the HB guys and Conradino have me wishing I had already. It'll be grand to have you running a grow with their genetics. I'm still trying to get something consistent going after 2 years. Somewhere along the way I'll get ahead of my own supply needs, and then I can begin to play more. I need three times the space I now have. :laughtwo: As though there'll ever be enough grow space, eh?

That plant is a beast! Whoa! What a beauty.

I practically live on the iPad. I use the phone to load photos so I don't have to stop what I'm doing on site. I find the interface on the iPad to be my favorite, although it'd be nice to be able to load pictures in in bulk instead of one at a time. I've tried cutting back on photos, but that didn't work for me at all. Lol!

GLR is GREAT for helping with heat and slowing some of the growth, although, it does trigger flower quicker when switched to 12/12. I used to run my veg cabinet under GLR, but, I was keeping moms for a long time and, I found several strains actually went into flower after being under GLR for maybe a year or more.

I can live with faster triggering of flowering. I'll look forward to that.

Good on ya for giving the GLR a go.

& I knew you would like that link.

Cheerioz.

You've paid attention and know me well. That made me feel special keltic. :hugs:

I agree. I mostly use the app but I can't for the life of me figure out how to save a specific post for reference later. There are so many great things I've discovered here but I have no way to find them again. Is there something I'm missing in the app?

Daily Update: Thursday, August 4, 2016

Good evening everyone. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart: Let's take our daily stroll, see how everyone's doing. It was a fairly busy day in the grow spaces. Everyone got watered.

Maintenance notes:
- The Carnivals got drenched with 1/4 Transplant with a spit of Tea too small to measure.
- The LOS no-tills got a drench of aloe vera juice/ coconut water/ kelp/Agsil16.
- Industrial Plant got her regular watering to runoff.

Let's start in the auto tent.

More reasonable. I've been turning the air conditioners off at 3AM when lights go out and then kicking them back on after breakfast, before the heat starts to climb. This may work.

Industrial Plant (Day 17)

image15387.jpeg

We have signs of beginning growth!! :yahoo: God, this is tough to wait on. I'll get better every plant, or I'll abandon the technique. We're still real early in this game. I'm committed to trying a few plants before I make any decisions.

Dark Devil Auto (Day 45)

image15389.jpeg

I just wish this one had actually done something significant. She was the one I was growing for me, and this doesn't look promising at all to be able to keep me going. I'm gonna need a miracle, I think.

Pretty one though, isn't she?

image15390.jpeg

Still waiting.

The Carnivals (Day 9)

image15394.jpeg

Still a bit warm, but livable.

image15396.jpeg

In the tiny closet we have the Med GOM 1.0 (Day 47). Slow but consistent bulking up going on. Another month with this one, or at least that's what I'm hoping.

image15401.jpeg

image15402.jpeg

Since they all got watered today that means I won't have to do anything with them for another two days. Slowly but surely moving along. I'll feel so much better when the Carnivals are a couple months old and bursting out of their seams. :laughtwo:

Thanks for stopping to see the brood and visit for a spell. I'm going to attempt Callanetics now, so wish me luck. As beneficial as they are I still fight the urge to pass on them. Discipline gal, discipline! Lol!

Get out there and spread some joy around people. What a glorious universe we live in. Make it sparkle a little more by giving someone a reason to smile. I'll be seeing you around the yards after I'm done.

:Namaste:

What were the measurements of your monster mama?

PLEASE keep a journal when you grow the Landrace Sativa! I had a hell of a time trying to grow a sativa-heavy OGK. I want to see what YOU do to get it to harvest in a healthy condition! All I had at the end were buds on sticks.

She's going right now. She'd look better but I've dusted her in diatomaceous earth in my fight with some little caterpillars. I think I've won. I only found one on her today. The width there is 31 inches wide and she's growing into the walls. I can't turn her though or I won't be able to fit my other two little plants in the flower room. My goal with her is to get a buffer built up of stash to where I won't run out and I have room to play some. Especially with those longer flowering sativas.

AK, I found the blog button on the site but I can't seem to find a way to do that in the app.

Write down the name of the journal, then the number of the post. Old School. When you get to a PC, go there and blog those favorite/instructional posts.

This is exactly how I keep track of mine, notated on index cards. Lol! I take note of the journal, the post # and the page #.

Good evening Miss Sue!

:hugs:

Good evening Canna. :hugs:

OneNote is my go to. Synced in the cloud and available on every machine I touch.

Interesting observation: I'd been sticking with a med schedule of two BioBomb capsules a day, one after morning qi gong and before the shower, the second around 6 PM or so, whenever I could feel the first wearing off (the signal is a feeling of tiredness, like I didn't get enough sleep). Then, later in the evening, usually around 1 AM, I'd break out the hybrid or indica, hoping for sleep around 3.

For the past week that changed, as I tested some strains, tried different capsules and the like. As a result, most of what I was taking in wasn't BioBomb 5:1 capsules.

What I noticed is compulsive eating slipped back in. When it's all BioBomb or CBD capsules I don't get the munchies and the appetite is suppressed. Drop an indica or hybrid in there and I get the munchies something fierce, and I no longer keep munchie-quality food around the house. It means I was bringing home more chocolate. Not a good thing to do on a regular basis.

Today I went back to the capsules. I was really looking forward to dropping the last 30 pounds.

It's been a long time since I dealt with the munchies and my old response was to embrace it. I was 240 lbs before I decided that wasn't a life path I cared to continue on. How do you guys keep from falling prey to the munchies?

That's a great question! Nis has next to no fat on him and he can eat anything he wants and he stays thin. Me on the other hand, I gain weight more easily. I like having the munchies, but I know they aren't good for me. It's difficult to suppress the urge to eat.

oh nooo you cant stop the munchies man!

its not possible once you got the munchies thats it ,no cure no vaccine .

hang on ,there is one cure one way to stop the munchies.

munch out man!

Activity level factors in to such a large degree. I was fit until I got into IT, since then I picked up "sysadmin spread". When I'd hard at work, I'm putting at most 10 fingers and some thought as actual effort.

I'll teach you Callanetics. Between pulsing and sativas you'll be able to indulge whenever you want. I'm 62, so I have to be more cautious, because it takes longer to get it off again if I regain it, but I still don't diet, per say, and I'm still slowly growing thinner every day. My concern with the munchies is the weight gain, but also the disruption to a smoothly running digestive system when I introduce crapoy food.

Spoken like a man with an amped-up metabolism. :laughtwo:

I eat lots of veggies and salad... got to, because Joyce is always cooking cookies and pies and cakes.... I give alot away at work too. Ice water helps too. I drink lots of water when I smoke.

Water. Why is it so difficult to remember water? I even keep a pitcher full right next to where I sit cross-legged and working and spend most of the day ignoring it.

I hear that low-level concern that you're not getting enough movement in your life. Did you hear it? There's got to be some small change you can make to begin a turnaround back to being fit. It's easier to do now than when you hit your 60's you know. :battingeyelashes:

:hugs::hugs::hugs:

And then there is the old age factor too! I'm right there with ya rtk, I am just now starting to lose weight again...

What are you doing to assist that process? Diet, exercise? Or just consuming enough cannabinoids that your system has begun to reset the weight point? I know there's a point where this will begin to happen, and I've always been curious as to where that point is. I suppose it's an individual thing, like all other things cannabis. :laughtwo: I feel like that's part of what's going on with the BioBomb capsules, they're somehow regulating appetite to shift me back to my normal weight point.
