The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

The fluid you're finding is probably "guttation".

It's a hydrolic pressure imbalance, with higher pressure inside the plant than outside, and fluid escapes through the stoma.

This is the first I'm hearing of this BeaverIslander. Has it always been like that for you? I'd be very interested in hearing if anyone else has had this happen. There are a number of us I know who try to smoke only sativa-dominant and no one has mentioned this at all, to my recollection.

General Question for the galley:

Has anyone out there reading this noticed a diuretic effect with sativas? Don't be shy now, we're all family and we discuss everything without judgement. If this is some secret concern lurking in the shadows of social restraint, drag it into the light please and share it with us.

Thank you for bringing this up BeaverIslander. Let's see what response we get.

Last night I hit the sheets at around 3 AM. I never reached for the indica, choosing to use wax all the way up until the moment I said goodnight. Hit the pillow and passed right out, slept through the nigh and woke up refreshed. No lethargy at all. According to my study this is backwards from the way everyone else's systems work. What a delightful plant that defies our categorizing attempts and insists on being an individual expression. :laughtwo:

My friend just arrived. Brunch out this morning. :woohoo:

:ciao:

While I have had some Sativas that have knocked the sh*t out of me, I haven't really noticed a diuretic effect!

I feel like since I met you Sue my visits have been short of consistent but surely frequent. Everytime I feel like I'm walking into a crowded room to give you a quick wave before I shoot off again. The room just gets more and more full. Crowded tends to make me feel like it's a negative word. You have a full room filled with lots of life, love and laughter! Just adding my bit to the lot ;)

lol... appreciate the confidence. You obviously have not met my Dad... he could tell you stories about some classic screw ups too.

I am putting myself in timeout here in Sue's garden. Please forgive me, I was snippy today. I am working on my Zen... it's here somewhere, I think maybe in here with Dark Devil I will find it. If not, I am heading for the tiny closet.

You deserve my confidence, girl!

And please, if you knew my parents you probably wouldn't think much of me either. But thankfully they don't get to hold anything other than the title of being parents. Not good ones but parents.

I think very highly of you Emilya and I don't give a shit if I don't know you outside of this magazine. You're pretty Kool in my eyes

:high-five:

Zen has been found thanks to the short little DDA and as zenny things seem to go, a trip to the mailbox found my hempwick sitting there waiting for my calm self.

So, I set to work, wrapping it around a new Bic lighter (after removing the paper label from one side of the Bic) to see if it would stay in place. After unwrapping once just to tape down the initial end, everything went well from that point on, and indeed the bee's wax keeps the roll in place as I suspected it might.

Then was the task of solving the one handed lighting. It seems the wick holds its shape reasonably well too, so simply bending a little shepards hook in the end, and then pressing the extra back down onto the roll, it stays in place. As you can see... a flick of my thumb, and even setting it down on the desk, it has still held its shape and gave a good light. A quick flick to douse the flame and then setting it down on the desk so I could press my finger into the ember against the desk, and one hand lighting and dousing was accomplished with ease. Now that I have wound it around the middle of a Bic and have seen the control I can have over the loose end from there, compared to the handy storage compartment provided on that plastic Bic cover that Sue has and that Ebay is now trying to sell me on the side of every page I visit, I don't want one. Simply winding it works quite well... probably wouldn't survive a pocket real well, but I don't do that.

Very cool Emilya!

Hi SweetSue. Everywhere I read there you are....Helping...being so kind and genuine! I feel blessed knowing you and others like you make this place so special!

I think Sue has either genetic clone running around here, or has hired two or three people to assist her!

Resourcefulness, you are such a wonderful companion to have chased that down for us. I was trimming some fans off her today and found another example.

What was so confusing was that, although it was the wrong consistency for sap, it has the full terpene range of the plant, both in smell and taste. But it evaporates. This is last night's leaf, today.

Thank you Graytail. Mystery solved and our brains all got a little smarter. :high-five:

Thank you so much for the compliment. It warms my heart that so many of you feel comfortable in my yard. :circle-of-love:

See what I mean? No sooner do the words get out of my mouth..... :laughtwo:

Sue, I'm here and I've brought hugs with me.

:hugs::hugs::hugs:

You dear. :laughtwo: Make a woman feel special why not? :hugs::hugs::hugs:

wow, there is quite a difference in taste too, without the butane. I had no idea!

Isn't it great? That's why Pigeons started pushing it, and the chief reason I went with them. Thank you for working this out for us Emmie. :hugs:

Works like a dream. :battingeyelashes:

Hey there Sue!

More hugs for you.

:hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

Thank you dear. :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: Now I really feel special.

You'll find it stores in the pocket well.

Great to know. I never take a lighter out of the house.

There are those who wonder Keith. :laughtwo: 19,585 posts, sometimes I wonder. Lol!

Pigeons, I didn't answer your question about the DDA. The stunting is genetic. Every so often we find one. This time I was the lucky winner. :laughtwo:

Pigeons, it wasn't you I had that conversation with. Sorry for the confusion. I was totally straight at the time too. :laughtwo: Well, as straight as I ever am. Lol!
