The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

I would cut the tips of the clones' leaves if were me. Your other plants look marvelous. Glad to see your temps have cooled down.

I thought about it Noob, but I'm not a big fan of cutting the leaf tips. I think they'll do fine unmolested.

The environmental control of my living room works best when I have the presence of mind to open windows. :laughtwo:

I know I have enough on hand to meet my needs, but I get to this point every time and breathe a sigh of relief that, at the very least, I have enough meds for the next week.

What noob said sue. That pic made my mouth water. :hugs:

I'll admit, they are delicious. I've become fond of the olive oil I use as the carrier for the cannabinoids. Time for my dose.

I went to take a photo of my aloe pup and I knocked it over 30 degrees.

If you want this 6" pup, it's yours

Accepted. :battingeyelashes:  I'd be honored Rad.

Maybe this is a stupid question but your method of growing is foreign to me so im curious what is the benefit to having old dead leaves on your soil?

Not stupid at all. We do it to prevent the top of the soil from drying out, to prevent weeds outside, to promote roots to fill the top of the soil while making a healthy rhizosphere up top, and to provide long term soil/worm health while attempting to emulate nature.

...at least that's what I tell myself when raking the yards and picking nettles or dandelions.

Visiting Rad reminded me that I have a plant ready to jar up.

All tucked away.

In the end it comes to 66 grams or 2.36 ounces. She did twice what I was anticipating. A lot of tiny popcorn, but it will all make oil or brownies, so we won't be complaining.

Ahhhh........ It feels so good to get one jarred. :battingeyelashes:

Also before I forget I wanted to share with you my results from my first Oil making. I started with 14 grams of Royal Queen Seeds Easy Bud. This was my first grow and just wasn't totally fond of the smoke. The high was great but something just didn't jive so next best thing make oil. The bud had been curing since February. I ground it up and put in the freezer for 24 hrs. I also used 99.9% ISO since thats the easiest thing to find where I live. That also was put in the freezer. I set up 2 filtering jars with coffee filters and set my timer for 3 min. I did 3 washes and then back into the freezer for another 24 hours for winterization. All said and done I came out with 3 grams of oil. Quite happy for my first time ever trying. I think maybe I should have filtered another time because there seems to be a bit of plant matter in my oil. Not much and its not even noticeable but when I vape it it leaves a little residue behind which I read could be from plant matter. I'm not totally sure since this is all new to me. For all I know my dab rig just isn't hot enough. If anyone has any feed back I would love to hear it.
Now what you've all been waiting for some pictures :)

COngrats on your 2+ Os on that girl, Sue. At first, I thought you only got an ounce. That didn't seem right so I reread and saw that I wasn't paying attention. :hugs::hugs::hugs:

Well, I'll forgive you for that, because I'm really, really almost transcendently high right now, and because I adore you Noob. The important thing is you were so in tune you went back to double check. :hugs::hugs::hugs:

RheinRover, I'd be most appreciative if you'd share that post on my study hall thread. The guys over there are focused on oil making and they should be able to help you make improvements. The brilliant mind that is ShiggityFlip frequents both threads, and he's bound to chime in. Cajun might have some pointers on that final filtering. There are any number of experienced hands wandering through that room. I'd like to learn a bit more about that too before my next batch. I have some gross stuff I pulled from a final pull that I want to figure out how to clean up, so any discussions on filtering are more than welcome.

I'm certain you can lightly dilute it and do a final filtering, if in fact dilution is necessary.

I'm jumping with joy right now, to be honest. Even as stoned as I am, I'm dancing down the hall. That's a decent pull from 14 grams and it looks good. I'm looking forward to your assessment of its effects. You didn't mention that.

Thank God some brilliant IT team came up with intuitive auto correct. Without this marvelous tool I could not have made this post. :laughtwo:

You could have named her Catherine of Aragon. Sounds cooler. lol Henry the 8th was Mary I father. IS there something I don't know? Did Catherine of Aragon cheat on Henry the 8th? Sorry for the nerdy ?s
Nice Noob! I did a little research to get that info. I thought it was neat, so we named it after her mother. I didn't know the origin of Bloody Mary.

I wrote a paper on Henry the 8th in college. What a fascinating individual. Turns out he was an asshole because of a jousting injury when he was a young man. Although some thought it was genetic because of what Mary I did. What a bitch. lol
