The Mega Crop Thread

i haven't run cal mag yet. my conditions are hard on cal mag. hempy and cob rigs.
all i do is fish a few extra calcium balls out and add them when weighing out the MC. so far so good.

gonna do the whole run on just mc.

I laugh when I read every one talk about perfect ph and perfect npk but throw all that caution out the window with MC. I am seeing deficiencies that I want to work out with MC. Without adding other stuff I will try and make things better with the GLN line. Hopefully grinding this stuff up helps.

One more thing....
We really don't know for sure if the bag actually contains 50% powder, and 50% balls-I guess that's a question that should be answered (somehow)
Like if the bag is 30% balls and 70% powder,a 50/50 mix wouldn't be correct.
It looks like there's more powder than balls,but weight-wise, that may not be the case...

The density of the balls and powder may vary - so we should use weight percentages maybe?

a 50/50 mix could in no way be assumed correct. all the balls would need to be separated and ratioed out for even distribution

or just powder the whole batch up and mix,, but, as stated,, the air borne mess would be a messs

I've just been going all shake weight on them ballz. I'm mixing in a gallon jugs, one or two jugs at a time. I'm getting my plants fed, and getting buff ass arms.

I’m up to page 39 of this thread and thinking mega crop is what I want to try next run but only can buy in 9.9kg bags but only grow 2-3 plants a year in a 3-4month window.Does anyone no how big of a shelf life MC has?

While my Pink Kush and Cheese finish up I decided to go ahead and start the next round. 3 new Mega-Croplings in coco w/perlite, just came up this morning..
Gorilla Zkittlez /Pink Kush /White Rhino. I probably should have asked on here first, but to start I soaked/drained the coco with about 2.75 g/gallon before planting the germinated seed. Seems to be working so far. The PK looked a little weird at first but I think she is coming around, the first tiny serrated leaves were kinda white and crinkled, almost thought they were burnt at first but likely it was just weirdness from being jammed in a seed case for months.

They will be under a t5 for a few days, if the tent isn't ready in time I can use the 400MH. But I think I will harvest the Cheese either tomorrow night or Friday night.. Yes she's close soo close. 67 days 12/12 currently. I think seedsman says 55? Would be right counting from flowering proper. Hate to go too soon but she hasn't changed really in several days. Didn't feed/water her tonight and probably won't ever again.

What does this look like to everyone? Burn or a deficiency? Like K? Its happening to all 3 of my plants. Im feeding 5g MC 2.0 with 1.2g of their PK and 4 mls of calimagic per gallon as i did with my last batch of plants. Everything was green up til last week-ish then this showed up. It happened once before and it showed up so late that i didnt get it nailed down before it was time to pluck em. It didnt really hurt yields but the plants were ugly by the end of it. All krispity and such. Any way. Im in 5 gal all perlite hempy water/feeding every other to every 3 days. Depending how thirsty they look and how light the buckets are. Closet it 2.25x5x10. 2 quantum boards, one the 260xl hlg 3000k and a 135w board with hlg's rspec flowering spectrum. Temps are low 70s to low 80s. Humidity is a pretty constant 45%-50%
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I dont wanna mess these up. Ive been waiting to try them. Triple cheese, blue dream and green crack cbd.

I'm still studying the cannabis deficiencies/abundances but would like to give this a try before the experts make a ruling:

Nutrient burn is just the tip right? Or does it spread out along the edges like that?

Early stage calcium deficiency?

But when this happens we should still get out a magnifier and look for pests right?

Mixed, Mega Crop answered this as weeks, if not months. Dry, I'd seal it in Ball/Mason/Bernardin jars. My opinion is that it will last the eight to ten years it will take to use it up.

When I bought mine, all Greenleaf Nutrients had was the 9.9 Kg bags as well. I went looking at the hydro shops, and found one that broke up the bags. They sold me 2.5 Kg for about the same price as Greenleaf Nutrients.

looks like an over nute situation. guessing the pk booster is a bit too rich. looks a touch light on n too, but that may be something else. did you balance before adding or just toss it in on top ?

run your mix through the elemental calculator. you might come up with different numbers.

edit : try dropping the pk boost for a bit more mc.
these plants look exactly like how i used to grow running AN

Looks to me like the early stages of a potassium deficiency. Why only 5g/g MC?? Feed stronger.

i read it as tox but em is right it's a def. either way up the mc. super unsure about adding the booster.

ha,, i may not be an expert or even an amateur, using mega crop,, ha,,

but i sure do know bugs,, oh ya

never hurts to look for bugs for sure,, but every bug , just like toxicities and deficiencies, every bug gives it's own tell tale signs,, that make one look for bugs

those spots and edge brownings are not one of the signs of bugs.. one need look a wee bit closer to see bug signs. there will be leaf markings alright,, but tiny ones accumulating over time

a whole other fun issue to deal with
