The Joy Of Growing - SweetSue Goes Perpetual

:rofl:Fishin' kit.....I love it!!!

Chili's finally on and while I was out there I weighed the harvest. They've been hanging two days now.

Excalibur initially weighed 7 grams.

image2345.jpeg

Critical Super Silver Haze was initially 19 grams.

image2346.jpeg

Just over half the weight evaporated. Right where I suspected. When it gets down half again I'll jar it up.

Time to get to work outside. Smells unbelievable in here. I've missed cooking. :battingeyelashes:

Ha Ha! I Luv it .....brownies .mmmmmmm. By the way I learned that no till mean there are worms in your dirt.... the thought hit me that i can grow night crawlers AND weed together. Its like im growin a nice little fishin kit, lol.

Nice idea Nicholas. The worms you really want are red wriggles for their composting nature, but fishing worms will probably adapt as well. :laughtwo:

Good Morning

image2370.jpeg
I'm taking myself out to a late breakfast. I'll be uploading pictures and posting from there.

:ciao: :green_heart:

Good Morning SweetSue :hugs:  :hugs: have an amazing day

Good afternoon Mr Am4zin. :hugs:

I finally got back online. Access was blocked along the river today (unfortunately we had a jumper off the bridge this morning) and I've been out and about. Took the opportunity to mark the beginning of a spiritual new year and walk the labyrinth after breakfast. It gave me an opportunity to offer up prayers for the tortured soul that took the hard way out.

The day is breathtakingly beautiful. I got some incredible cloud pictures for Canna's Changing Seasons thread that I'll get up as soon as I get my post up, which should be within the hour.

:ciao:

Hiya Sue, Been under the weather a bit so haven't been too active. Din't want to be complaining on here all weekend so I just stayed pretty stoned and medicated with antibiotics. Been missing all the parties over here!

Daily Update: Perpetual Tent - Week 17, Day 2

No maintenance today. So let's just take a stroll and see what they're up to. Come with me. :battingeyelashes:

image2373.jpeg

Carnival (Day 110). Yeah, that's what I thought too. Whoa! :laughtwo:

image2377.jpeg

Jamaican Dream (Day 55). Go baby go!!

image2378.jpeg

image2379.jpeg

White Widow (Day 73) I'm going to check her tomorrow when I haul everyone out to get the Dark Devil Auto and Jamaican Dream their Recharge top dressing. She looks awfully close to harvest to me.

image2380.jpeg

I know she's back there, just cooking. :slide:

image2381.jpeg

My Desert Rose is getting ready to bloom. This will be fun. :cheesygrinsmiley:

image2382.jpeg

The Tiny Pots. Man! Look at that AJHxAA taking off!!!

Auto Jock Horror x Auto Amnesia (Day 28)

image2388.jpeg

image2389.jpeg

image2409.jpeg

More Tiny Pots.

image2394.jpeg

The Unknown Seed it packing those colas like mad. Are you seeing these? Dang! It's like they doubled in size over the past week! YES! :yahoo:

image2396.jpeg

image2397.jpeg

image2398.jpeg

The New Year's Bag Seed (Day 100) is within days now. She's stopped with waves of pistils and she's pulling them back more quickly every day.

image2399.jpeg

She's also beginning to throw out more tiny leaves at the top, another sign that we're almost there.

image34760.jpg

Resinous, but not what I was expecting from this one. It just may be a strain that doesn't get all that frosty, but I can see from this picture the trichomes are turning cloudy, so yes, very soon now.

image2401.jpeg

The older Dark Devil Auto (Day 68) has such gorgeous coloration. It's hard to resist the urge to photograph her.

image2402.jpeg

DeLahaze (Day 84) The top of the cola is beginning to falter over to the side. I may need to stake her somehow if this persists. She's close too. Very close.

image2403.jpeg

image2404.jpeg

The youngest and smallest Dark Devil Auto (Day 40) She's getting ready to bolt vertically. Speed it up little girl. :battingeyelashes:

image2405.jpeg

The canopy view of Jamaican Dream. Just because she was so beautiful and the camera was passing by. :laughtwo:

image2406.jpeg

Afghani #2 (Day 111) Oh yeah!

image2407.jpeg

image2408.jpeg

I think things are moving along nicely. I can't believe how they're making this mad dash to the finish, but how thankful am I that they are so engaged. I can't believe how incredible everyone looks. Wow! I'm a bit overwhelmed. Breathe Susan! :laughtwo:

One more day down and counting. I figure we have about 40 days to play with, because I'll need time to clean and disassemble the tent too. I've located a cultivator to hand this tent over to when the time comes.

Ok people, get out there and light the universe up with joy. What a wonderful chance to make an appreciable difference, eh? I've already been out there working my end, and I have to say it's been fun so far. Give it your best, that's all we can ask.

I'll be seeing you around the threads.

:Namaste:

Sorry to hear that Llama, and I'm glad you're feeling better. Wonderful how cannabis makes misery bearable, eh? :hugs:

Lactobacillis Serum

I've put this off for over a year now, and 36Gr0w has been nudging me on a regular basis now for months. Time to step up to the plate for my no-tills and make some beneficial microbes to assist in the bio-availability of soil nutrients.

According to The Unconventional Farmer Lactobacillis Serum is a powerhouse addition to a farming enterprise, having a wide range of uses with livestock. Our concerns are with flora, and in that realm the serum will assist the growth of plants thusly:

Plants — Growth Aid:
When added to water for plants, nutrient uptake efficiency is increased, which increases growth!

Improves growth of plants when applied as foliar spray and soil drench. Improves their efficiency in uptaking nutrients so naturally, growth is enhanced. With the use of these microorganisms, the nutrients you spray or drench to feed your plants become more bio-available and easily absorbable by the plants. Technically, you can say that plants do not use organic nutrients directly. Microorganisms convert organic nutrients to their inorganic constituents which the plants utilize. Utilizing microbes, you will notice better plant growth and health.

Lactobacillus Serum

On to the making!

Step 1: Make the rice wash. This is simple. Buy some rice and stick it in a pot with warm water. Swish it around a bit and it gets cloudy.

image2426.jpeg

Strain the water into your container. You want to fill the container halfway with your rice wash. Keep in mind at this early stage that you will be mixing the layer you'll extract from here at a ratio of one part of this to 10 parts milk.

image2427.jpeg

The rice wash becomes the carbohydrate bait for microbes.

image2428.jpeg

Lightly cover (you want microbes to be able to get in there) and set it aside for a few days to a week. The top of the refrigerator works well for this. Not so out of sight that I'll forget about it.

image2429.jpeg

More to come.....

Wow thank you for sharing this!
I wanted to do this for a while now. Seeing you do it is very motivating. I will try this tomorrow.

That'll make 36Gr0w so proud. :laughtwo: He's been so sweetly persistent and he'll be pleased that we finally listened to him and took action.

Nothing beats making your own stuff.

He has many other beneficial recipes on his site. Be sure to roam his pages. You've been there before, haven't you? If not, you're in for a treat.

The garden is looking amazing Sweetsue! Love the rice water idea, I may have to try that next time I make some rice :) I recently read somewhere about rice containing a lot of PGRs and hormones too. Very interesting! Thanks for sharing!

how's my favorite female grower doing

all that time i was away with the law on my back, fleeing my own home for strange lands, only one thing kept me together, the thought of sometime in the future doing a grow again and hanging out with you guys.

well i'm glad to say that the time has come, im psyched to be back and more psyched to see that everything is the way i left it and even a little better.

i won't really comment on the updates i see here because what can i really say, the gardening? the cooking?, it's unreal

everything i see here is performed exquisitely, flawlessly and to the point! ;)
can't wait to see more :circle-of-love:
