The Joy Of Growing - SweetSue Goes Perpetual

What does a sub-atomic duck say (in a grow room)? Quark.

John, I love your jokes. :circle-of-love:

:cheertwo: Whoot! That is great news! I love seeds, well sorta, kinda.

My wife used to deal roulette. If I recall, Green is the Zero and Double zero, And not every wheel has both. (Some French/european don't have the Double zero)

Straight to any number pays 35 to 1. so $5 would pay 175? -ish? Split the zero and double zero pays 17-1 (I think) (I like that bet best split 0 -00) (second favorite is top line 0-00-1-2-3 pays 6-1)

Disclaimer--I don't gamble, I never found it entertaining believe it or not I get bored really quickly.:Namaste:

You, bored quickly? And you grow, which is often like watching paint dry? Well, not in my tent, mind you, but I've heard of others. :laughtwo:

I would hit you with the hammer of reps but I need to spread it around a bit first. :thumb:

Yeah, he has been pretty hot lately, hasn't he? That's what we like to see though. That happens with your amazing self, all the time. Hahaha!

Yep, your name would be in there too Duggan. If I hit a big one, we all hit. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thought it about time I jumped over to your home thread and subbed up! Maybe a touch late lol.

ShiggityFlip pegged it LA. Welcome to the crowd. Push someone over and pass to the left. :passitleft: This party never stops. :battingeyelashes:

Never too late at Sue's. Now you get to watch her finish out the garden. Pull up a chair. Silent Bob's expression makes me chuckle every time.

You just crack me up. I'm so glad you found us. :laughtwo: It feels like you've been here much longer.

I've been out all morning and I got no sleep at all last night, so I'm going to finish my gardening chores, get all my pictures taken and maybe post a couple small pieces before I lay down and catch some sleep, if I can. At least I'll try.

Drenches of the Day

All four of the LOS pots got a malted barley and kelp meal drench. They'll show up in the next post. These are the Kit plants that got drenched.

That's all the Kit drenches for today. I'm going to nap for a while and get the last update done later. I'll see you all then.

:Namaste:

Wow that Bubblegum looks really sweet, So much sugar on her! Great pics sue!

It happened almost overnight Nicholas. I've been shocked at how quickly they've sped their biological clocks up. She still has up to six weeks to go Nicholas. :laughtwo:

Thank you for the compliment. Some moments the camera decides to be really nice to me. I've discovered if I take the shot at the precise moment it comes into focus I have a much better chance of getting them crisp. If I try to reposition I get shaky. So I'm training myself to get the distance first, and then focus and hit that button spot on.

You see how this posting mania I have feeds the artist in me? I'm so pleased you all enjoy the end result. It makes my spirit sing with joy to be able to do it.

Icemud, I just caught the "Halloweed!

Sometimes I'm such a blonde. :laughtwo:

Well it's probably been a couple of weeks since I peeked into your garden Sue, probably a good 50-100 pages behind lol, all I can say is "WOW" the Carnival is looking so lush, really healthy looking. You're doing great..Hope all is well with you :hugs:

Why thank you Shaun, and so good to see you. How have you been? You're probably not that far off on the page count. We're kinda flying along at this point. Having great fun though. She is a stunner, isn't she? Graytail told me I'd enjoy growing her, but she still took me by surprise. The Jamaican Dream is even more accommodating, if that's possible. :laughtwo:

And Shaun, it's the soil. Pure and simple. This soil and the Kit, my lights and love. I gotta give most of the credit where it's due.

Wow you have so much going on!
I feel my grow is so basic in comparison. So much to read :)

But your grow has you, and talking with you is what draws the masses. Surely you were aware of that Roach? :battingeyelashes:

Ye I'm good Sue, tnx for asking..Will have a flick through, must have missed the JD n a lot more lol.
So are you saying you're a HB convert now or are you going to carry on with the no tills?
I'm just starting up with organic soil now so give me a minute or 2 to gain some knowledge..
you were certainly right about it being addictive n I'm not talking about the smoking part lol..

Well Shaun, first off, I'm going to Phoenix over the holidays , so I'm breaking everything down before I leave. When I return I'm shifting the grow into stealthy mode ( nothing stealthy about a black 4x4 tent in the middle of the bedroom) and from there on out I'll still be running both soils until I get the Kit soil through its third run. At that point it all becomes LOS no-till. I've already added a ten gallon LOS to the mix - the pot with the Afghani is a no-till now.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the wonder and frustration of learning to use the Kit. It's turned out to be much simpler to use then I was letting it be. Start with a light hand and work up from there. Watch the plants and adjust. The specimens are stunning, but I'm LOS no-till at heart, and to be honest, that little no-till in there has produced consistently potent harvests with little effort on my part. I'm glad to hear you're dabbling in living soil Shaun. Totally addictive. So's the Kit. I'm probably gonna cry when I do my last Kit harvest.

I sent all the extra stuff off to B A R, who's going to run a side-by-side comparison grow with the Kit and PeeJay's soil mixes. B A R will be able to give the Kit the look over it deserves. He's in for a surprise. Both of those soils are major producers, so this should be interesting.

Yes, I'm a convert, in that I heartily recommend the Kit. Just for the thrill of growing one of these vibrant specimens. They really do stand apart from the rest. That's no exaggeration on the part of advocates of the Kit. They're pushing the envelope in their grows every day and it's pretty damned heady stuff.

No, I don't plan to stay with the Kit. I'm lazy. There you have it. I want to grow in a soil that does all the work for me. And counts on me to amend on some reasonable schedule and leave it alone under the field of light that's also my responsibility. Bottom line, I want worms in my soil. I want soil I don't need to dig into at all. Build the soil, plant the seed, water and surround with light. Harvest kickin' buds. That's always been my plan.

I got a bit distracted by death and the Kit. Too much fun for one year? :laughtwo:
