The Joy Of Growing - SweetSue Goes Perpetual

Kalashnikova Auto (Day 61)

How far she's come from that tiny, struggling seedling that almost got pulled.

Excalibur (Day 63)

This girl has the funkiest perfume in the tent. I swear, it's almost feral. If the smoke is at all as wild as the smell, I'm in for a treat. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Group Shot: LOS Girls
Strawberry Blue is sitting in the tent drying out. She told me a couple days ago she's done, so I'm just giving her until Sunday and then she's coming down. Apparently she has no inclination to stop shooting out new pistils. Doesn't matter. She's done. Here are the other three.

I'd like to put a Critical Super Silver Haze in a 65 gal pot I just happen to have! Yum.

Hey Sue this is probably a dumb question but why are you collecting those little leaves in the freezer?

Nicholas, there are only questions. Someday I hope to have enough inventory on hand to finally be able to use my MB2e.

I won it with my MOTM title in March and haven't been able to use it yet. When that happens I'll use all this small stuff in the freezer too. No sense in wasting it.

Good afternoon to you Sue. Just thought I'd pop in and say g'day!

Always nice to have you drop in Growlow. Hopefully I'll get the chance to run by your place later. I enjoyed the video update. Did you drop that dollar in the jar? :laughtwo:

Feeding The Soil: Reconstituted Kelp Meal

Rather than go into some long-winded tome on the benefits of kelp I took a photo of my notes. That was soooo much easier. :laughtwo:

image34342.jpg

In the upper left corner are directions for reconstituting kelp meal. You want to do so in order to make it more easily accessible to the soil community. Rather than use a blender, a machine I don't own anyway, I opted to use my own method and work my frustrations out at the same time.

An amazingly therapeutic past time. I enjoyed feeling the granules mash up into a consistent mush. By the time I finished I'd just about forgiven myself for yesterday and was feeling pretty good about the day. I'm glad I bought this lovely set. I feel connected to the past when using it. The porcelain has a sweet bell-tone when it strikes just so. Surprise benefits - it's musical too! LOL!

At this consistency it's used at the rate of 1TBS per gallon of water. I prefer to mash up fresh than to keep much in storage, but I won't need this for a couple days.

Into the refrigerator it goes, bottom shelf, in the back.

Daily Update: Perpetual Tent - Week 14, Day 5

Maintenance notes:
- All LOS plants got a top dressing of Yum Yum mix fertilizer, watered in.
- Original Bubblegum got a Trans/Tea drench.
- New Year's Bag Seed got a Growth Energy drench.
- The Unknown Seed got a TransWater drench.

We're going to make this a quiet stroll. Enjoy. :battingeyelashes:

And that's the end of my run today. I spent the day working for joyful expression. It was something of a struggle in the earlier hours, but somewhere in the past two there was a noticeable shift and things have calmed appreciably. It's come to my attention that regardless of my initial reaction to any event in my life these days there's a switch in my being that gets thrown and every cell begins to work towards joy. I always knew I had a tendency to be positive but I'd not realized how deeply engrained this particular response mechanism had become. I believe it's a direct result of this daily directive to get out there and spread that joy.

So you can count on me continuing to do so forever, you know. :laughtwo:

May your day overflow with the expressions of love and joy you can't keep in if you tried. :battingeyelashes: But then, why would you try?

If there's anything better
than being loved,
it is loving

What a great thread going here. So much knowledge being passed about and shared with one another. What a great community of people here. I have subbed in here and may drop a question from time to time and try to sponge up as much as I can.

PS. Pretty amazing grows going on here. I am in envy as I am restricted to the outdoors. Someday I too may become an indoor gardener.

:welcome: The Dankland, to my journal and to the :420: community at large. Thank you for the compliments. We appreciate that you find our journals worth your time. We have a great time putting them together. Well, I guess I can only speak for myself, but the joy shines out of the others too. :laughtwo:

The community is much, much more than the grow journals. If we can be of any help while you settle in you have only to stop and ask. I had to smile at your post. I'm restricted to indoors and watch longingly from a digital distance as our fellow cultivators harvest outdoor monsters. Of course they battled worms too, so........

Make yourself at home. Join in any time. We look forward to getting to know you better.

Next year!

I'll remind you John. :circle-of-love:

I just noticed you got the link into your signature. How timely. I have a friend who's been talking with me about oil and she needed just what you've linked to. You are so too far away from me John as to be beyond frustrating! So here

:hugs:

Imagine. I know you can do that.

Yes I can imagine, thank you! But you'll have to send seeds, I can't imagine those well enough.

:circle-of-love:

Hey there Sue! Just cruisin the streets of 420 mag, and decided to hook a right down SweetSue rd. Wanted to say hi. I have a few joints behind my ears wanna burn, and talk about organics for a while??

Hmmmmm..... Well John, that is a challenge. Let's imagine more intently, but with less effort and see what the Universe can offer us.

Pretty lookin plants Sue. :bravo:

Why thank you OD. They're trying real hard to make their cultivator look good. She appreciates it. :laughtwo:

Like a pretty flower you bring all the bees Sue! (By this I mean those that come, collect and carry off good information... wherever it may be they are headed )
