The Joy Of Growing - SweetSue Goes Perpetual

I'm incapable of rolling out of bed and NOT walking straight into the tent. :laughtwo: You get to benefit from that obsession of mine though. :battingeyelashes:

The morning routine...wake up...squeeze mamallama...pee...let the dog out..stumble out to the garage and check the grow room, check over the plants with bleary eyes...all good?.... Give the dog a treat...crawl back into bed for a little while..

Sounds like my idea of the perfect life, I wake to the noise of an alarm clock, squeeze Mrs A, get up, get dressed, teeth clean and wash, quick look in grow box and take my brew to work. 15 mins from alarm to car.

You twos have it made; just the fact that you can go back to bed if you want to.

Now Mr. Amazing, I use to wake up 45mins prior to the last train to get me to work on time after the "sh@#, shower, shave" routine but now I get up 2hrs earlier just so I can play in the Tents.

It's an obsession! Not only is it the first thing I do in the morning but staring at the plants is the first thing I do in the evening as soon as I walk in the door; like something really changed since I left. :laughtwo:

Looking good Sue.

Headed into town for coffee and I failed to take any pictures to process so I'll drop this one in, since they were complaining about a little equal time, and do some thread surfing.

Plants are looking great Sweet Sue!

Thank you Icemud. It's a good thing I snuck that picture this morning, because I came home, did some communications catch-up and passed right out on the bed. Just woke up and lights are off, so they won't see me again today.

Somewhere around here there was coffee.

The cannabis has been decarbing for the past half hour.

The apartment smells soooooooo good!!! :laughtwo: This Sativa Medley Mix is unbelievably fragrant. All those flavors mingled. Yummy!

Daily Update: The Tiny Closet -Week 14, Day 4

It's pretty quiet in the closet. Everyone's just busy getting those roots established.

Long day. I put myself through an emotional roller coaster that didn't quite end as I'd have liked, but by God, I know I'm alive tonight. :laughtwo: I'm going to spend a casual evening and into the night just wandering and trying to come closer to being caught up. I look forward to the conversations I'll stumble into. See you around the threads.

:Namaste:

Do I even need to ask about the joy? I didn't think so. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

Sue I noticed you use solo cups for seedlings. I don't know if you do already, but I punch or drill holes in the bottom (usually 4) and set them in shallow plastic containers. Here's a picture

That way it is easy to see if the babies need more water. The first watering you should have about 1/4" standing in container. When there is no standing water like in this picture, it is time to water...I see a pan under the little stands..for drainage or spillage? Just curious. My mentor BID loved High Brix:Love:

I miss the BID!!

Every once in a while I have some small personal tragedy, like the loss of a beloved pet, and feel completely sad in life and then I think about what you've been through, Susan, and am very humbled. I think humans are very adaptable by nature so we have trouble relating to anything we aren't feeling ourselves. When we are hot, cold is a distant memory, and when we are freezing cold we dream of how amazing it would be to be hot. Till we are hot, Lol. No one could relate to the loss of a life partner unless they experienced it. I've said it before, but I'm in awe of your spirit and perseverance. If I was in your position I wouldn't be talking to anyone. I'd be living in a cave somewhere.
Oh wait. I am living in a cave somewhere.
Well it's a nice cave and there's a warm fire.
❤️ you Sue.

That's actually a decent idea to set them in a small container like that. Come to think of it B A R does that too. The trays under mine are to catch run-off.

I followed Cannabelle's lead and converted a batch of solo cups into seedling cups with mesh bottoms.

image34327.jpg

When I water, which I do when the cup feels light as air and before the seedling begins to fade, I set the red cup into one of the paper cups to catch run-off. If I'm in a rush I can set one solo inside another, quickly dump the water on and the run-off will be wicked up into the seedling cup. If I'm not rushed I prefer a slow and deliberate watering that gives me extra time with the seedling and I don't plan on there being much run-off.

The next batch of brownies are in the oven. As I was getting ready to mix them I suddenly realized that it hadn't occurred to me to smoke a bit of the medley mix. How silly of me. :laughtwo: Let me correct that oversight now. I'll let you know how it goes. :blunt:

Waaaay more potent when mixed. Just now going to attempt a fourth hit. Wow, that was hard to articulate, much less type. :laughtwo:

Alrighty then. That was fun. Broke it into two teeny hits and now, the best way to describe it is that everything in the world went soft and loving. How is it possible to be more emotional? Whoa. Ok. This is something I will definitely do again. There's enough in that pile to last for days, since my baseline brownies carry me most of the way.

I still find it humorous that it hadn't even occurred to me to try this, even after Llama mentioned his mixed stash. :laughtwo: Silly girl. :battingeyelashes:

Ya, blending can be interesting and educational :lot-o-toke:

I know, I was thinking about that tray. I keep looking for one, but I think it'll be a miracle to find one. I suspect you get some interesting mixed piles after a few days. :laughtwo:
