The Joy Of Growing - SweetSue Goes Perpetual

The Question Of The Morning: IS THIS WHAT I SUSPECT?

I'm gonna have my brownie and jump into the shower. Be back to check the consensus after. I know one of the bundles at every node is leaves. It's the accompanying multiple bundle baggage that concerns this cultivator.

Morning family!

Susan, love ya!

 MUAH

Good morning Pigeons. Still reveling in Thankfulness? :laughtwo: I love you too, dear.

 :hugs:  MUAH!!

Have a wonderful day. :kisstwo:

Soul Seeds White Widow (Day 53)

Those side colas I wanted you to see. This is my best shot. Right now they stand just over 5" high.

Looking back through that fat main cola.

About another month to go, by my reckoning.

No one willing to venture any guess yet? Do I need to wait another day?

Taking a look back from the door. A little blurry, but then so was I. :laughtwo:

Let's just take a quick run to the back. Ready? GO!!!

:laughtwo: :laughtwo: Hahaha!

I'll have better later, it was just fun to run through like that. Made me giggle to do it, so I thought you'd enjoy the romp too. :laughtwo:

I have never before in my life had music pieces obsess me like they have since Dale died. Maybe it's the earbuds that bring the music right into the center of my head and keep everything else out. Maybe it's the repeat function reinforced by my laziness and my need to fill the incessant quiet. For whatever reason I've found myself lost in song after song. Remember when I fell into Sierra?

Somewhere in the night I stumbled onto Ani DiFranco. I cannot believe I'd never listened to her before and the song I ran into is titled "Falling Is Like This". Good grief! Driven guitar and breathlessly poetic lyrics that perfectly capture that free-fall delicious and frightening moment when you realize you made that choice without realizing it happened and OMG, what the hell do we do now???

After 35 years I can still feel that moment as vividly as when it happened. Ani nailed it.

"One minute there was road beneath us and the next just sky.". How did I miss this woman? How could I be this out of touch?

I listened to it so many times last night that I woke up singing the harmonies with no thought. That's my pattern - get so familiar with the melody that harmony falls out like breathing. I was trained as an alto. It's all about harmony. I'm lost this morning in her ability to expertly turn the phrase.

"Like you're trying to fight gravity on a planet that insists that love is like falling, and falling is like this."

Time for breakfast. And coffee. :battingeyelashes:

Hello Sue, hope you had a great holiday weekend but then again I guess unless you have a 9-5 or go to school Columbus day is just another day you do the same thing as any other Monday; every Monday's a day off... LOl.
Congrats on your chop over the weekend and I love the coloring of your Dark Devil.

The Question Of The Morning: IS THIS WHAT I SUSPECT?

image34014.jpg
Your suspicions are correct, there's a dude trying to creep into that all female apt. Matter of fact you better kick him out immediately! He looks like he's through talking.

Had a panicky moment there and stretched out on the bed, wrapped myself around the big pillow, imagined I wasn't so alone right now and fell right asleep.

I just woke up, stomach growling and my Sativa-stimulated neurons complaining of the need for coffee, but the first thought through my mind is

"Do I have any reason to get into the tent again before lights off?" followed quickly by

"Hmmmm... When was the last time you checked soil reserves for hydration levels?"

Yeah, I actually think in those words. :laughtwo: Soil nerd. What are ya gonna do?

COFFEE!!!! NOW!!!

Alrighty then. I think I'm awake now. :battingeyelashes:

"....and falling is like this."

I had missed the fact that it was Columbus Day altogether. Wow! A little out of touch without tv or radio Susan. Might want to rethink keeping abreast of current events.

Morning Sue.
Good grief those are beautiful. We need to swap places.

We could always combine forces instead Cajun. Sorry, you left that door wide open my favorite mountain man, and to be honest Cajun.......

It's a boy! :laughtwo:

Well ... balls!

Nearly ready to become a man!

You can start your seed making skills in a couple of weeks :)

Ziggy, I found your response the most interesting. Suddenly I paused and considered that the universe had just offered me the opportunity to play, should I accept the invitation.

If I decided to do so, how would I progress from here? What would be my next step?

you can separate him from them girly girls...

he is immature still..if you have a just about to flower, you can take some pollen when its ready and dust a few buds/branches of the girls you want to pollenate..think of the options!! ..once you selectively pollenated, you can return them to the tent..the seeded buds will give you the start for a seed bank of your own making..you then can either store the male pollen, or destroy him..i feed the males to the soil..

i still need to start my Female Seed Making Journal..

Wait!Wait!Wait!!! What strain is that? Don't make any hasty decisions! If you let the boy bloom, he will pollinate every female in your grow. If that is undesirable then cut him now. You will have seeds in most of your females. It won't hurt the smoke any but it can be annoying. If this is a great plant and is a strain you want to continue to play with, then by all means let him have his way. If it is not something special, then I would cut it now and plan a propagation grow in the near future with a train you really like.

you can contain the pollen and limit pollination to select branches and buds..use an artists paint brush... after a day spray with water or foliar spray- will prevent the excess from going airborn..this is done in a secluded area.

a couple hundred seeds from a few different strains/plants..and Sensi too from same plant...

you can paint a different strain pollen(if you had more than 1) on different branch of same plant...then you can really play when you remove the cost of expensive seeds and mistakes..

just say'n :)

Don't let that wondering mind get over loaded.....

Off with his head and into the trash immediately......

Heard and obeyed.

The only reason I reccomended the removal ASAP is I remember a SweetSue post not too far back about the simple things in life and getting back to basics with 18/6 some 7 gal no til pots and some happy healthy FEMALE autoflowers.......

Seems your heart was pulling you back that direction.....

Photo plants 12/12 paint brushes breeding and seed projects is at the other end of that spectrum
