The Joy Of Growing - SweetSue Goes Perpetual

Daily Update: Dark Devil Auto -Day 64
Perpetual Tent: Week 3

The LOS pots got a drench of malted barley grain enzyme tea. This is why I take so many close ups of trichomes. I want to be able to see the changes in production following amendment applications. We should see an increase over the next couple days, but I've yet to properly photograph it.

Our Dark Devil Auto, coming into her harvest window any time now. Anyone care to venture a guess as to how much longer she has? I'm going to push this one as far as I'm comfortable. You guys were really good at pushing that comfort level further down the road, so feel free to jump in.

The overall view of the perpetual tent. I'm so ready to have a shelf unit and the CFL array up.

The Bag Seed. This one looks like one I may want to train a bit. Not sure why I feel that, but my sense is it's going to explode at some point. Right now it's the most vigorous thing growing in here, aside from the Devil and the clover growing in the waiting pot.

Here you go xtrchessreal. Photos I should have included yesterday. Thanks for the shout out.

It's vented straight out the top. This room won't have any problem with that. The apartment keeps things fairly even, as far as ambient temperature. I keep everything open so air moves easily throughout the space.

image25813.jpg

Intake. This one faces a lighted area, so it gets closed off every day. The one on the opposite side of the tent stays open all the time.

image25814.jpg

The duct connections and run. I made it a nice, gentle curve out.

image25815.jpg

It's so nice to be able to get this posted at a decent hour. I prefer first thing in the morning and going forward I should exert my right to have a schedule that works for me too. It's Dale that's fighting to live, but it's me fighting harder right next to him. My life shouldn't be totally wrapped up in his struggle. As a caregiver it's such a fine line to walk. I keep battling survivor's guilt, only he's still alive. I don't think there's any set way to progress through end stage with a lover. Be forewarned, there will likely be pain ahead to accompany all this joy. I'll do my best to try and diffuse it for you all, but I know me. No guarantees.

I'm still holding out for another 20 years. Remember me, the eternal optimist? :laughtwo:

The tent is holding steady at around 83 degrees F with the fan at about 75%. Duggan, I am so thankful that I listened to you. This set up is fabulous. It is such an enormous relief not to have to think about heat and humidity control. Opps! Forgot to check humidity. Jumped in to check, and humidity is sitting at a sweet 60%.

See how much easier life just got? I love it when a plan comes together. :slide:

Enough of my rambling. Have a wonderful day everyone. Get out there and splash that joy you're carrying around all over your slice of paradise. I'm already geared up here.

I notice not a single one of you chose to share a personal moment of joy. Just thought I'd call you out on that. It's not a requirement. :laughtwo:

:Namaste:

Edit: The Auto Jock Horror x Auto Amnesia seed wasn't ready to plant yet. Forgot all about the seeds.

Remember to take a moment today to hold the memory of the fallen who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Let's never take that sacrifice for granted and keep working for peace. Too many tears.

50 of each?

Long term thinking Rad, coupled with minimum order levels. I figure it's a lifetime supply and will also allow me to share in a way so many have shared with me.

Yeah, I get that :)

I should use that excuse for my extra 7 cubic feet of perlite. But to be truthful, I had the bags sitting in the empty flowering room and forgot about them!

It's not senility, my brain was this way in grade school. :)

Good evening Sweetsue and Gang...all my brothas...just cruisin around takin in all the scenery. She's lookin a little sexy there SS...;) She reminds me of one of those little table top Christmas trees...all lit up, of course :blunt:
Sue....you gonna be patient with her ,right...? Right?

:reading420magazine:
Hey there...try and have an OK night girl! Cheers.:circle-of-love:

Yes I will Duggan, and if I try to jump the gun, can I count on you to ask me to pause a moment and think about it? I'm still very new to this game and have lots to learn. I've only brought one grow to harvest and they had to almost physically restrain me from chopping too early. :laughtwo:

She is a sweet little thing. As a test plant she more than satisfied. I love those tiny and dense little flowers she's growing. Super strong limbs on her too.

So different from the bushes I grew last time. I have years of these kinds of discoveries to look forward to. That just makes me giggle thinking about it. :laughtwo::green_heart:

Thanks for the photos, the tent looks good, nice job on the ducting, and I see the oscillating fan there too - very cool. The plants have everything environmentally they need now. I cant tell, not that you need it, I am just curious but is there a mesh or a screen filtering the intake air? I initially had one for my room but I was bringing in 20 times the amount it was filtering over the course of a grow so I took it off to help the exhaust fan not have to work as hard and I got more air flow too. My hair, my dogs hair, and anything else on my clothes fell off in the room. I am not going to biological containment level 5 protocols just to grow my personal use weed :)

The joy moments I've posted on threads end up in the P-trap under the sink! :jawdropper: lol

I just checked the CDC website. Integrated Pest Management and clean room suits are required at Bio Safety Level 3 - No-one needs to go to BSL 5 :)

And only you would take the initiative to check Rad.

Yes, xtrchessreal, there's mesh over the intake openings. The fan is working great. I turned it down a bit more when I was home this afternoon. It's maintaining at 81 degrees and 57% humidity. Sweet. Runs so quiet. The oscillating fan makes more noise. :laughtwo:

lol thats too much. So three is the number to which is to be counted, not one, not two, but three, if you have found yourself counting to four then you have past the number by one and the count should begin again...five is right out! - err something like that I was going for a Holy Grail Reference :)

Daily Update: Dark Devil Auto - Day 65

I stayed in the hospital room with Dale again last night, so I didn't get to the tent until about 2 PM. Amazingly, I wasn't concerned at all about the environment in the tent. I figured the fan had it and I was correct. Maintaining at 81.5 degrees F and 57% RH.

I like to get down and check the seedlings in profile.

image25888.jpg

The bag seed is kicking butt here, a full node ahead of all the rest. What a gorgeous seedling.

image25889.jpg

For comparison, Auto Destroyer. Both are two weeks today.

image25890.jpg

Auto Kalashnikova is a sad looking little thing, but I promised this tiny seedling that there's plenty of room and time to grow into its destiny.

image25891.jpg

Enough of the youngsters. Some luscious shots of the Dark Devil Auto. Whew! She's a stunner.

image25892.jpg

One day after the last enzyme tea and she's pushing out new pistils. Loving it! :slide:

This one makes me laugh right out loud with joy. What a beautiful sight. :laughtwo::green_heart:

image25899.jpg

The Devil's pot got a 1/4 turn and both LOS pots had their reservoirs topped. The SWICK tray took almost 1/2 gallon. Tomorrow I'll set the HB kit pots back on the perlite and leave them for a day, then lift them again.

I planted the other seed (Auto Jock Horror x Auto Amnesia) yesterday when I stopped briefly.

May the rest of your day be sprinkled with joyfulness. For all the frustration life brings, that sense of gratitude we cultivate counteracts it by attracting love and joy, which we can then share at will. It all creates a lovely slipstream of joy. I like that in a universe.

:Namaste:
