The Hexapus's Garden

I think so. Partly anyway. It often seems to do that to me late in harvest. The sugar leaf starts to die. And eventually it dies right back into the buds and it is a real pain to trim. This time around the plants didn't do very well anyway and that's partly why they are maybe dying and overall shitty looking. I've had them on a light feed like 400 ppm in the hopes they would mature nicely instead of just dying out like this.
I'll get some pics in a couple days when I harvest. May just dry it for hash (and save all the work heh heh heh).
One thing about the PC is its really not a stealth strain to trim because of its clinging smell so I can't expect to go ahead and trim it if visitors are going to pop in. Limits my options a little or I might have found time to trim a little of it already.

Very clean, and great color in there. Great job. I love the room and health of your garden.

Cheers

That's a wicked photo man (last one but they all are,lol).... I might steal that.. Poster worthy....hang on, I'm not 15 anymore. Still looks cool though, lol...

Yea I agree Weasel, your photography is exquisite! Great job on those shots!

I can definitely understand the frustration of having hash bag plants all the time. I've had to make the choice, at least 3 times, to chop down and plant and send the whole thing to the hash bag.
But today that all pays off!! I'll be running about 3/4 of my hash bag tonight and making some real sweet concentrates!!

The circle of life is a beautiful one! Especially when a stop on that circle is into my bong

Much love brother! So sweet the petty stuff.

:high-five:

I like hash! And I don't like trimming. So that's two points in favor of just chopping the whole mess up. It's sad to see how little hash comes out of a huge pile of bud. But 'hopefully tomorrow' I'll be able to drag that stuff out into the light of day and will post some pics.

Do you only make bubble or you dry sift too?

Things have been really busy with no time for anything and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah but I get a break here soon. The Pineapple Chunk is so overdue for harvest that I'm not sure I can do anything with it other than make it into hash. Sugar leaf has all died along with some of the bud and it looks like crap.

Here to bore you with are some pics of the Critical Cheese. Not sure what it is about this plant that attracts me so much but it seems to just radiate health- even though I tried to make it stop.

Be still my beating heart! OMG Weaselcracker. How did I miss these yesterday? You fired up every linear-obsessed artistic neuron in my body with this post.

Thank you. What a treat to stumble upon. I really must be here more regularly.

I really must be here more regularly.

Me too!

Thanks Sue. I wasn't sure if it was just me, or if the photos would even translate. But on my end, when I look in the veg room the Critical Cheese seems to be almost glowing- radiating some sort of perfection amongst the raggedy ass crew I have in recovery there.

It's being inspirational. Trying to motivate the rest of the crew. :laughtwo:

Pure art all throughout this journal. Exact opposite of boring, actually. Great stuff, thank you for sharing.

Thank you Juan for the nice compliments, and for stopping by this weird journal. :thumb:

Shigitty I will be there with bells on! Unless I am out of range on the ocean which is quite possible this time of year. In which case most likely I'll be having my own little smokathon, on the high seas (so to speak).

Speaking of smokathons.... A POTM vape pen arrived in the mail a couple days ago, courtesy of 420 and Vapor Brothers. :thanks:
Now, I'd only vaped one (1) time before, several years ago, and know absolutely nothing about vaporizers at all but have made great strides forward with it due to my natural mechanical genius.
Most importantly, I finally discovered which part of the pen to put the 'stuff' in. :thumb: That was after an unsatisfying half day spent cramming hash into random orifices of the pen and wondering whether this vaping business is really all that it's cracked up to be.
After I found the right orifice though I proceeded to dip into the Malawi hash and some Mama Thai hash, and got increasingly vaped out, till I finally dragged myself to bed at 4am. Yay!

I dragged the Pineapple Chunk out into the light of day to see what was left of it. Looking pretty bombed out. It's been flowering for 110 days.

I managed to save some bud from the middle screen shown in the picture, which is the screen I trimmed a bit of last week.
By the time I got that screen done it was getting dark out, and also getting very stoned out. I ended up just chopping the two other screens up to dry for bubble hash. I probably could have saved a lot of bud out of those two screens but I was getting pretty tired of it by that point. Trimming that dead sugar leaf out of the buds was fairly labor intensive and the buds had that sort of extreme gooey feel. I tried ripping the reject ones up into smaller pieces for the drying rack but it was kind of like trying to rip apart warm marshmallows and so I had to abandon the idea. It will make good hash.
I remember Captain Blast last year saying that the sugar leaf died off on his outdoor PC. I've had it happen several times, and once it starts doing that it's best to harvest before it goes too far. These pics are a fine example of letting it go way too far. There is almost nothing that could have been done about it though as I've simply been too busy to touch the situation.
I got a large pile of untrimmed buds. I could have frozen it and make hash from the green buds. This makes for stronger hash, but the P Chunk stinks up my freezer horribly if it's not contained well, and I was too lazy last night to go find some sort of airtight containers to put the trimmings in. Besides - the hash from the dried buds is plenty good and strong.
The smell of the Pineapple Chunk is best described as fumes. It actually burns my eyes and nostrils a little bit while I'm trimming it.

Today it's the two Malawi to trim.
Oh yeah and I got some new seeds so I should try to sprout some of those.

Thanks Pigeons. :high-five: I'm looking forward to the Malawi. I think it's going to be nice.
A lot nicer than that PC was anyway  I can't remember how many days it's been flowering but I'll do the math later and maybe take a look at the trichomes. I'm hoping it's been long enough to mellow some of the sativa jitteriness out of it.

Yeah man, the colour between the sugar leaves is nice.. And the buds are so heavy.. It's a small shame but wow; so much hash! Maybe mix in some sativa hash so it's not so couchlocky for you...?? Can it work that way?? Seeing so much hash lately on here.. Tried making some QWISO myself yesterday.. Gotta go scrape it up later... Went all milky but seems it was the excess moisture; it's all gone now, just mostly golden goo now.. Wanna get a photo for Shigs 4 July thread.
Lookin good, dude..
PS that leaf photo... Perfect leaf! Should be a t-shirt.

Even though the buds are going to be used for hash Weasel they look amazing there. I'm loving my new vape pen too, it's really doing the job although there's not much 'smoke/vapour' or whatever left to blow out of my mouth. Feels really clean if you know what I mean, not that I ever thought smoking was dirty...until I quit lol. Now I'm one of 'those' ex smokers complaining about the smell

Your pics amaze me every time I see them, clear and well framed, truly an art. One day my friend I'm going to visit up north with the fam and try and grab you for a photo expedition. On the lookout for lost unicorns and all things wonderful, I think we'll find them too with plenty of green goodness to steer the way :)

Peace and thanks for writing and posting pictures the way you do, makes my experience here fanfkintastic! :thumb:
