Holy F*&$!
2 pages of qwiso love!
I know and embrace most of my sins.
The filtering gave me some grief because I used paper. Shoulda just grabbed an old tshirt. I was trying to rush and get the mash outta the iso. Tho I tried to filter it twice thru paper, both broke... the second one let a bunch of really fine stuff thru, but the mash was already in the iso for way too long at that point, so I just drove on.
For the record, I used 70% iso. I managed to keep it down to about 1/2 of a 32oz bottle... including rinses and whatnot. It dried in a double boiler setup(ish) in about 2 hours... and that was after I accidentally dumped some water in the mix trying to fill the boiler.
I've not put it in the oven before. I was considering that.. but I cook with gas and putting iso in an enclosed oven with an open flame involved seemed like it might have been a poor idea. I think it could have benefited from some final joy in the oven, but I enjoy my home after all.
Somewhere... in a box probably... lives a set of bubble bags consisting of 5 different filter bags. It's been hiding for a few years now. I keep thinking it's time they showed themselves... but they're apparently not of the same mindset. This is probably an indication that it's time to de-clutter my world. Meh!
Another point to make.... Tead's just not a fancy smoker. Sure, I like to play with someone else's dab rig (oh yes... luvs me some fancy dabbin!) or play with their fancy battery powered vape rig... but I really do employ the KISS principles to every aspect of my life and something more intricate than loading a bowl with some herb seems a bit much.
I did a little reminder reading before I made my goo. Many folks had medical goals and spoke the word "de-carb" for some sort of heat process at higher temps. I'd sure bet someone (yea SS... that's pointed at you) in this room know about "de-carbing" and will toss a little education Tead's way.
See... like I blathered in an earlier note... I prefer to photograph thing's I'm proud of... this one... not so much.
Thanks for all the words all. I promise to step up the next batch.
