Tead's Indoor-ish, Winter, Hempy, OGK, SOG

Some mighty nice ideas being tossed around here. I’m lucky enough to have a small window unit in the bedroom, and if it came down to it they’d get the cool and I’d swelter. Lol! Tell me we’re sane. Lol!

As it is I still struggle some days to keep everything below 86. I’m hoping you can help me work out air movement in my tents Tead. My plants will thank you for it. :battingeyelashes:

Mounting the lights outside..... geez that was pretty.

Photos.... it's been a while. The garden was suffering. The new lights were in the process and 1/2 of my 350w LED died, so the babies were not getting enough light at all. Fixed.... see below.

Let's start with bud porn! I think it's a Grand Daddy Purple.

Veg. Note trays of clones on upper shelf.

Bloom. The bud porn source is the tall one on the right.

New perlite. Much larger. I hope the Osmo doesn't just sink down thru it.

One of my new clone boxes. Luv them.

Then there's the new salad bowl bud trimmer. I started with a small bit of harvest from an UltraDog. Super small but really dense buds. Pulled off any fan leaf with a stem.

Dat's it man. First NFL game tonight... sporting the Oregon Ducks cup in honor of the season.... Geaux Ducks!

Tree rings... Something went outta keter there.. Hope it grows out of it.

Only ducks I followed was with the bead of the shotgun.. And the hunting wood be great around here.. Miss J favors the Duck

Soo far behind I didn't even see the salad spinner... They do work. For a ruff trim... The one I played with worked better by hand rolling the buds across the screen. Then we bought a table. But back then I was growing really large amounts outdoors in Cali. Weed was 4 grand a pound and demand was thru the roof,, in the early 90's

could be the ac. looks cool in aways.... you sure it's just spillage? I do that shit all the time.

Geaux Ducks!

Nice trimmer. :high-five: Looks like it’ll save a lot of time without doing much damage. A lazy gardener’s dream come true. :battingeyelashes:

I’ve never had anything like that happen with my sloppy drenching practices, but then thinking about it I really don’t splash much. I usually wipe off what does get splashed. Lol!

That’s a real unusual thing and it’s on more than one leaf. More than one plant? Hmmm.... I’ve never seen it before, so you might be right.

My Zam x Pan is flowering under the 300K qb. She looks to be my biggest harvest to date, with another week to go. I’m thinkin’ you’ll see an appreciable increase under yours. Sweet!

Yeah my QB board upgrade has turned into a very nice success. I’m sure you’re going to be loving it too! I’ve never seen those rings either and I spill a lot, but lol I’ll never forget that look on your face as you said “where’s the air conditioner” in my 100° garage. I’m sure you’re right about the evaporation.

:passitleft:

I got a question guys. If my setup is at max power draw n i assume im at max power cause when i plug anything else in i blow the power in that area. How can i lower the humidity without putting a huge dehumidifier in there that i really cant afford to buy anyway. But if i had to i cud cut one of my lights an replace it with the dehumidifier. But if there is another way to lower humidity without having to sacrafice a light i would rather do that lol.

Hmmm... think of what you're trading.... less light horsepower vs better humidity. I'd fall on the lighting side of that decision. This represents a similar choice I've made in my world. In the end, I use my dehumidifier to help dry my harvest rather than use it in the garden.
Of course, I have different factors in play. I do a ton of fan action and exhaust rather than try to fight the humidity.
In my scientific mind, I see it as a matter of evaporation to the plant. Dryer air increases evaporation from the leaf surfaces. This drives uptake, thus the flow of nutrients thru the plant (like... literally). If you can evaporate the leaf moisture with increased flow rather than dryer air, perhaps you're achieving the same goal.... at least that's my hope.

Ok ill try adding a fan or two an see if tht will blow fuses or not. And hopefully i can let my strawberry cake go to the end without bud rot idk ever since i let my strain i was making of black domina x with hindu kush skunk go as big as i cud get her she rotted out on me and same with my gorilla glue auto if i let the buds grow out fully then bud rot.

Movement fans do go a long way towards keeping the bud rot away. I bought a Kill-a-Watt tester (you run your appliances through it to show exactly what they’re drawing). It was a load off my mind knowing the real state of my power draw. I also ended up putting in a small dehumidifier which has generally saved the day.

In my previous configuration, I pushed AC into the bottom of my veg tent and had an opening at the top for the hot air to get out. Adjustment of the input flow was the key... it really needed a good bit.
In my bloom tent, I had a cool tube in place and it sucked out bloom room air at the top and pushed it outside while cooling the light.
Exhaust is the key. Interior movement air is hugely important for keeping the air moving around and inside the buds, but you have to get the wet air outside at some point.

Yeh for me the problem time is at lights off. Exhaust runs off of the thermostat but the air outside is cold (and wet) so there’s no exchange during the ‘night’ period. Works out ok though because the dehum runs on a timer only during lights out -when I have power to spare.
